These images are of the upcoming two subclasses of the Generations Cyber series which contain 11 inch and 7 inch simplified Transformers toys of classic characters. These are the very first live images we have ever seen of these figures, and mirrored below you will find the two Optimus toys, 11 inch Bumblebee and 7 inch Megatron in alt mode. An RID Warrior class Bumblebee is mistakenly inserted there as well but it actually helps give us a sense of the scale of these figures.

There have only been reports of online retailers, nothing brick and mortar yet.

I'm considering it for similar reasons.

Considering the 11 inch tall ones are the price of a Voyager or an overpriced Deluxe, these are an excellent value.

Thought these were also going to be released in American stores. If not, Thinking some American based import sites will sell them. Just hoping the sites mark up prices are not too high.

Really getting sick and tired of Hasbro taking away a bigger Decepticon toy. Just to put a Big Bumblebee toy in it's place.
Would have liked to see a G1 Galvatron as the Decepticon Eleven inch Cyber series toy.

The lack of a big Megatron to pit against the big Optimus does suck. However, the big Bee is a smart move because this is a line with kids in mind and kids LOVE Bee. I know a few and all the younguns are hardcore Bee fans.
So, it should have been a big Megs WITH Bee and OP. Not instead of Bee.

Sometimes it's a big Optimus or Grimlock, and they've skimped on Decepticons a bit at smaller price points too in several places, AoE being the wors offender.
I know there's a lot of hate for Beast Hunters, but this, they at least did right with that, albeit by using the Predacons as a balancer. We even got a big electronic Predaking.
...And I'd kinda like to see some non-G1 stuff in the Cyber Series, as crazy as that sounds. Maybe a Bulkhead or Tarantulas?

Doesn't RID Grimlock in AOE colors count twice?

william-james88 wrote:I think this line is great. Much better than the smash and flip kind, with way more articulation than those and a nice sleek look to them. The price is fine too, cheaper than the more complex toys of their size. This will be great for young kids. You know guys, people are complaining about the simplified kiddie toys and shampoo bottles but that just means that this brand is huge enough to expand to other kinds of toys to grab as many consumers as possible. This isnt the only line with shampoo bottles:
Wow, I'm glad this isn't a marvel fansite, cause the collective hate on those figures would break my laptop. Does anyone actually buy that expensive trash?

They make more of em than the transformers variety so I guess yeah, they sell. Little kids want nice big toys of their favourite heroes and these are child proof and durable and cost less than a smaller Marvel legends figure so everyone wins (except for fans)

It's G1 Grimlock in AoE colors, actually, and I'm not wild about the movies, either to be honest.
Maybe if it were G1 Grimlock in green, I'd feel different.
But what I really hope for is characters that aren't G1 characters or updates thereof, or are "new" G1 characters from 1996 or later (this covers a lot of ground, from Megaplex to Windblade). I know it's a pipe dream, just wanted to get it off my chest.

Depends what you mean by scale though. These toys never shied away from the Cyber Class name. While we commonly attribute the cyberverse line as small, Hasbro sees it as just meaning easier to transform with less articulation. All this toy is is an upscaled cyberverse toy which didnt have an original small toy come out first. None of my generations legion toys have knees so consider this just an upscale of those, that's how Hasbro seems to deal with it.

It is very strange and illogical to have ankle tilts and no knees, but I wasn't at the board meetings. There may be a reason. A strange, twisted, illogical, unthinkable, very-problematic reason perhaps...

Looking at the truck mode, I do not believe it is for transformation. I have no remote idea why there are ankle tilts.

Jabs aside, even Legends Bumblebee has better articulation for its scale compared to this piece of plastic. Hasbro's been dropping the ball on their Optimus toys a lot lately - and they don't even try to be subtle about it anymore.

That Starscream totally has knees, though.
