Much of the Transformers fandom has been mesmerized by the complexity, and magnificence of Leader Starscream. GenZhao of KOToys.com wets our appetites by showing off several pictures of the monstrous figure. Of note, Starscream looks to stand a little bit taller than Leader Megatron. Starscream has visible Decepticon logos in alternate and robot mode. This Leader Class figure looks like it blows the previous two Voyager molds out of the water. I could go on, but I think this time the pictures can do that talking.
Of note, there is only one missile that is in these pictures, but GenZhao says that there is two released with the product. You can check out the original thread here.

I like the RotF Voyager as well, but this will definitely get a spot on the shelf.

1. The paint sucks... hopefully this isn't the final color scheme, as there are no detail work at all...
2. Where the hell are the jet engines that were supposed to be on his back?

This mold does look cool, but it has its flaws. I wish he was shorter. Now I'm stuck on the problem of which Starscream to get. It's either this or the 1st movie Voyager Deep Space Starscream. can someone plaese help me decide on which one to get?

*whine* The paint is all wrong!
Give him shorter arms!
Where are his thrusters?
Really guys, this thing is awesome. If it bothers you that much then don't buy it. When the movie came out I figured it would be damn near impossable for them to get any movie-accurate toys out of it, and I've been right for the most part, this is probably as close as they'll get and I would love to give them money for their effort.
Uh... not that I'd pay people for doing a half-decent job on something else like fixing my car or building a home, but you know what I mean. XD

the leader Prime is very nice/accurate as well as HA BB...IMO they are way more accurate than this SS...maybe if they fix the paint i'll have a different opinion...gonna get it either way though

I'm loving the leg design. My only concern is possible stability issues due to the small feet.

I actually hope they don't repaint it in G1 colors...because I already have a huge expensive Starscream in my collection!

Shame about the colours but I guess these might not be final? It just looks unfisnished instead of a bad colour selection. I hope his knee/ankle joints are nice and stiff, as this thing looks like it could topple.

A huge ass leader class Fallen along with Megatron, now that would be awesome!!!

I'm still loving the figure! If they did a Premium version of this and a non-tattooed (movie 1) paint, then I'd get them both!

I've never agreed with this Starscream's proportions, and yet there's something compelling about this guy. The actual model isn't too bad and he does strike me as a badass (don't tell me if he's really a chump, I never saw the second movie and would like to keep the dream). Every iteration has only gotten better each time.
The first movie's toy was a good approximation. Y'know, in a weapons for hands kind of way. I'm still feeling non-buyer's regret for not getting the deep space version too.
The ROTF voyager cleaned him up in nearly every way. His sacrifices felt more like a size-class thing than design issue. I bet the toy designers were just as bothered by it as we where because we got this wonderful wonderful thing coming.
I'd have to say I can't imagine them doing a better job. Leader Screamer is much better proportioned because he compacts beautifully, looks dizzyingly complex (oh-boy), has multiple joints in his hands, and a big ol' arm cannon that... detaches when he's not using it? Where'd it go?

I think that if they gave ever character this kind of leader treatment then they would have many hits on their hands. Starscream looks as great.
If I had to make a negative comment it would be that a design this awesome deserves a paint job to match, I'm talking detail. I think the head could use more painted detail. If I were Hasbro I wouldnt want to leave it looking half finished. I'd also like to see him with a more weathered metal look but if this is what we are going to get then I wont complain.

That said, the lack of thruster kibble on the Leader still makes it miles better than the Voyager.
The bot mode totally rules over Voyager, too. I'd say at least 90% accurate.
IMO, this is likely to be as good as it'll ever get for a Bayverse Starscream...unless they come up with a Supreme Class. Highly doubt it, but never say never.
BTW, I noticed a purple Decepticon symbol on a squarish button on both alt mode and bot mode. Sound effects button, maybe?

First Half of 2010... I could give a guess and say it'll be March-May 2010.

LeL wrote:I'm hoping this comes with two missle launchers, as so that they can be attatched to the underside of the wings. Remove the static missles and blades off the launcher so in robot mode they double as jet engines. this would make Leader Class Starscream look 100%, giving him additional missle launcher will make the jet mode more leathal and after the deployment of missles he's ready transform and get up close for the fight.
please give us one more missle luancher please
I think this guy is a genius! It is supposed to come with 2 missiles... so maybe it does come with 2 launchers! If you look closely at it, it does look like the gun's barrel is a jet engine...

I would love to see this Starscream reach his potential like what they did with Optimus Prime.
