Thanks to Seibertronian youtuber PrimevsPrime, we have an English review for the upcoming Studio Series Dropkick figure!

Dropkick is set to star as one of the two main Decepticons in the Bumblebee film due out his December, transforming into both a helicopter and muscle car. This Studio Series figure decides to stick to just his helicopter mode instead of trying to do the triple changing deluxe class gimmick. The figure is done in a mostly light blue, which doesn't fully match up with the colors we have seen in the trailers, but is still nice nonetheless.

Dropkick will be available and hitting store shelves here sometime over the next few weeks, just in time for the holiday season. He will retail for $19.99, the regular deluxe class price point.

Check out the review below, and let us know what you think of this new upcoming Bumblebee movie character below!

Thanks to Dengeki Hobby, we have new stock images for Takara's take on the upcoming Transformers Studio Series World War II Bumblebee, Dark of the Moon Sideswipe, Movie 1 Barricade, and Crankcase.

Bumblebee, Barricade, and Sideswipe are all brand new molds. Bee is based on his flashback scene from WWII in The Last Knight, a design that sort of comes out of left field, but is still pretty cool to get. Maybe this will mean a WWII Hot Rod is on its way too! Sideswipe is based on his convertible Stingray mode from Dark of the Moon, complete with dual swords and dual blasters, just like those he wielded during the Mexican standoff scene. Barricade is a new mold using some Transformation tricks from his recent Masterpiece toy. Crankcase meanwhile is a simple repaint of the wave 1 Crowbar figure, confusingly enough.

All of these figures will be available some time early next year, so stay tuned for images as they come!

I have the DOTM Sideswipe already, so the only what I will buy him is if he could actually stand and hold a pose at the same time

Man, that Sideswipe looks amazing! I don't actively buy SS, but I think I need that one in my hands.

I think the only characters that I am desperately waiting for a release now are a 2007 Megatron and Shockwave. I need to complete my 2007 bots!

The DOTM shockwave toy w2as recently rereleased in an amazing deco under the Movie the Best line and ehich ever version you get, it scales really well with the SS line.

I feel the exact same way, but about WWII Bee. That will be bought on sight for the altmode alone.

DOTM Sideswipe suck though. Mostly because he's an unpainted prototype. The ROTF version is way better. Especially the HFTD Sidearm Sideswipe. Too bad the secondary market prices are ridiculous.

The SS version look like he'll have solid footing. As for the paint, we will have to wait for in-hand images to judge.

I love the headscult on that WWII Bee, I’m hoping that future SS Bumblebees use a tweaked version of this headsculpt instead of the TLK/SS 76 Camaro version. That head sculpt is ok, but this one gets the proportions way better.

Sideswipe’s looking great, needs some robot mode paint but I can fix that.

Barricade’s looking pretty good too, I wasn’t planning on getting him at first but he’s looking better and better.

Not interested much in Crankcase Fancy Crowbar.

So are SS Optimus v2 and Bonecrusher in this wave too?

Oh yeah, I remember. It was a :CON: with an original head. However, he became trade fodder along my sealed HFTD S-A Sideswipe at my local geek store for some sweet geewuns.

I still have one version on display. The Walmart exclusive. That sonnova may not be screen accurate, but man, the PAINT!

Fellow Seibertronian Deadput has found images of the back of the box and instructions for the upcoming Transformers Studio Series leader class Dark of the Moon Megatron (I swear, these names are getting longer every year). The toy comes in at 30 steps, which is the same amount of steps leader Grimlock had. So an overly complex Transformation should not be expected. We can already tell that some parts are rather simple, like the blocky feet which we now know were most probably not mistransformed in the initial image we saw. We have confirmation that he comes with Igor and that he is number 34. With Jetfire being number 35, it is most likely the case that this Megatron is part of the first wave of 2019 Studio Series figures. The images were found on the the TF Factory Weibo page.

UPDATE: We also have a list from the Loopaza Megastore of all upcoming Takara releases of this same line. Please remember that the only difference between these and the Hasbro releases are the numbers. We do get further confirmation of another Optimus Prime coming our way. Is there such a thing as too many Optimus Primes? Let us know.

SS-19 WWII Bumblebee
SS-20 Sideswipe
SS-21 Barricade
SS-22 Crankcase
SS-23 Clunker Bumblebee
SS-24 Bonecrusher
SS-25 Optimus Prime
SS-26 Jetfire
SS-27 Megatron
SS-28 Dropkic
SS-29 Shatter
SS-30 Mystery Optimus Prime

I don't think that ANY of them are straight repaints, except for the Drift with Baby Dinobots.

Ratchet and Starscream are similar to their DOTM molds with some differences.

I think the Lockdown and Grimlock ones are pretty similar, but have slight remolding.

Most are new but based on previous toys in some way (like transformation). However, within the line itelf, there are lost of repaints.

DOTM Megatron looks better than he did in that first image, I’ll probably be getting him since this is my favorite version of Megatron. I want to see how he scales with SS Prime though, I hope he’s not too out of scale in robot mode.

I mean I'm sure your being snarky or something but an actual statistic of the main line (Not including exclusives) the line has.

23 new molds (Sort of 24 with wave one old Camaro Bee only being based off the TLK Wave 3 Bee in engineering while it's really a new mold because of the different size)

1 remold: Crowbar from TLK Berserker which makes sense since their very similar body types in the first place (2 if you count the Camaro Bee)

6 repaints with new head/accessories.

2 straight repaints, Cogman (Whose original toy saw limited distribution) (Crankcase who is a repaint of Crowbar and sadly not Crankcase like he should be)

Including exclusives there is 7, with 5 straight repaints (6 if you include Drift which while he himself is a new repaint he comes with new accessories including mini dinobots)

1 being a repaint with new parts (2 if you include Drift)

Edit: while I was typing this I forgot about the two multipacks which 1 is just a bundle of two "retail" figures, one being a studio series VW Bee and a "reissue" of the TLK wave 3 camaro Bee which besides here has no release in studio series, the other is a repaint of wave 1 ss old camaro Bee that comes with new vehicle parts and a Charlie figure.

Not being snarky, was a genuine question. I been ignoring these because I thought they were all repaints initially. I'm looking back now after seeing all the news with this line. The DOTM Megatron was what got me looking closer!

He's in the straight repaint category (I either accidentally moved him to the repaints with new accessories category when I decided that it should be it's own category separate from straight repaints or I forgot about him completly which is possible since I was going by memory until I looked up the wiki for the exclusives)

So make it 3 there

Oh I see, I wasn't sure because you never know when it comes to people on the internet.

Yeah I originally thought SS was just gonna be a one year filler line for the Bee movie to make up for the reduced cast of the Bee movie.

To be fair, the first wave of Deluxes were mostly based on older figures when it came to engineering, so that may have skewed our views a bit. All in all though, most are new molds, with only #25 Bumblebee, Cogman, Thundercracker and multi-pack Drift directly derived from older lines.

Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, PrimevPrime, we have an English video review of Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Class KSI Sentry! Sentry is a blue redeco and a slight retool of Stinger who was released back as part of the first wave of Studio Series Deluxes.

Those who are looking for this guy should keep an eye on store shelves over the next couple of weeks as he'll be in the same wave as Bumblebee movie antagonist Dropkick.

Will you be picking KSI Sentry up? Will you be troop building him so that Stinger can lead an army of his own? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews.

Won't be troop building but I will almost certainly get one cos I love the Stinger mold and that shade of blue and that new head sculpt and I want his blue(s) brother (of sorts) here to go with him for a nice red/blue combo. I guess like Shatter and (car) Dropkick are. :O Heck, Stinger and Sentry could be my movie-verse Runabout and Runamuck I suppose.

And yes I wanna see more of that DotM Megatron. The detail looks promising and I do love the lil Igor bonus figure.

Thanks once more to Planet Iacon's Facebook page, we have a nice collage of images from Loopaza Mega Store showcasing the Takara Tomy release numbers for the upcoming Studio Series figures.

The collage shows us SS-19 through SS-33, with the one figure in the list not yet revealed being the rumored 3rd Optimus Prime. We have no information regarding this mystery Optimus Prime yet, whether he might be a The Last Knight voyager re-release, yet another version of the first Trilogy Prime, or something else entirely (maybe a Bumblebee movie Optimus?). But once we have information we will be sure to share it with you.

Of important note here is that Megatron is on the Takara release schedule, and his reveal in his Dark of the Moon body has been a major talking point of the past several weeks.

Here are the images and the full list of figures coming out. Check them out, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

I have that one, missing it's guns. But I just don't care for the deco at all. The original silver with red just looks way better to me. I regretted selling that one years ago. Never mind. The new one is far more scale correct with the other Studio figures.

I'm fairly certain he was using it as the normally accepted nickname for "transmission", as in a car's transmission.

Its referred to as a tranny in most car circles. The piece under the car being armor for the car's transmission.

Back on topic, Megs looks excellent. Sideswipe is very appealing. And another Movie Prime I want to buy. At this rate my movie Prime collection will be as large as my regular Prime collection.

As Overcracker indicated, I'm certain he was using tranny as short for transmission, especially because a minesweeper or tranny armor would be located under the front of the vehicle right below the engine and transmission. Both would be in the general area where the chest plate ends up in vehicle mode.

I know this is sorta off-topic but that comment was offensive. I am transgender and really get upset when "tranny" is thrown around like this! I am sorry to go off like this but I am getting sick of it as I see stuff like this all the time on toy forums.

Yeah I didn't see that (had to go back a few pages and search for the username) but that's not on. I'm not even quite sure i understand the usage in the comment either but that's not important.

As Overcracker indicated, I'm certain he was using tranny as short for transmission, especially because a minesweeper or tranny armor would be located under the front of the vehicle right below the engine and transmission. Both would be in the general area where the chest plate ends up in vehicle mode.

Ah ok. Never heard it used for cars like that. But then I know absolutely nothing about cars (health issues prevent me from driving). :P

I may be a bit late to the party on this, but something just clicked. I think Shadow Raider may be orange as a tongue in cheek reference to the War Planets "Shadow Raiders" cartoon that mainframe produced back in the day. One of the main characters bears a striking resemblance colour-scheme-wise.

Had to look that up as I'd never heard of it. Is Graveheart the character you mean? His armour and helmet are black and orange (though it sometimes looks gold or yellow in other pics). If it is indeed a reference then it's very obscure one. :O
