Eagle's TF have updated their blog with new prototype images of their custom G1 Scourge. The Eagle's TF figures seem to take a lot of design ques from the figures produced by JazaiToys. No official word on availability, but X-Transbots has tweeted that they plan on teaming up with Eagle's TF to produce their designs in a series they're calling EX MINI with the Steeljaw homage Ironpaw being first in line. Eagle's TF has several designs for G1 character that can be seen by visiting their blog.

This looks fantastic, but it's about a year and a half too late. Generations/United more than does the job and have already been purchased in multiples. Their best bet would probably be to release it in MP size to give more people a reason to buy...assuming it's being released in large numbers.

I am sorry, but third party companies are starting to annoy me. They are making articulated KO of G1 transformers or updating characters that have had official updates already or nobody really wants them. In Fansproject, Fans-Want-It, and a few others I still have faith in, but some of these newer ones seem stupid to me. :CON:

Because we really needed the flying space-canoe version of this guy again. Yet another case of geewuners will demand it, but those with sense will realize it's a waste of plastic.

Next.

I'll never get the mental pathology of the folks who feel the need to announce that they won't be buying something or who think because something is stupid in their opinion that it is actually stupid for everyone and not worth anyones time.

I'd buy this. I'd buy it and chuck my classics version. At this stage in it's development it looks truer to the original design, and that's what I value aesthetically. My favorite characters as a kid were the movie characters. So this appeals to me.

You like the Bay stuff? Great. You like realistic vehicle G1? Super. You want a Heinlad alarm clock or a pink dragon Galvatron with a permanent grimace? Can't blame you. Hell, don't appreciate the design of this scourge? At least appreciate the craftsmanship of what these guys are doing. I just can't fathom what would motivate someone to spout off like some of you people do.

That looks pretty bad ass! Hope it gets a release...
Hate all you want want on "geewuners" We have the disposable income to buy what we like. Once you kiddies get out of college maybe you can dictate what the market provides.

I like it.

I skipped on multiples of classics scourge because I didn't really dig it. I bought 1 but have not even opened it.

I have 3 Titanium scourges, that can be demoted to sweeps, with this guy leading them.

I have to admit, their timing is pretty bad, though.

I think it's a nice rendition to the character as lot of us remember him. In G1 figures available in my country I think it was one of first and my bro had it, so if it gets to be good in the quality department I could give it a try...the other thing is that it looks really small standing by that bricket, it seems smaller than a deluxe , almost like the size of a PCC commander... or isnt it?
Re: Eagle's TF G1 Scourge Prototype Images (1311547)
Posted by dinogeist on November 11th, 2011 @ 9:29pm CST
i'm more interested to find out the size scale of this toy. if it's deluxe or basic size scale, then it's a easy pass,no buy.

if the figure is voyager scale or ultra sized & is over 7 inches tall in robot mode, then I need this toy ASAP.

I disagree with all the replies in this thread, regarding the generations deluxe scourge being a decent toy. personally the toy is garbage. it's got a alt mode that looks nothing like 1986 scourges alt mode, plus it's a under sized deluxe updated homage. IMHO,Any 1986 scourge updated homage needs to be voyager size & bigger, not 5 & 1/4 inches tall in robot mode like the generations scourge toy is in robot mode. the 1986 cartoon scourge was portrayed as a bigger than average character & was way bigger than the average jazz or wheeljack robot mode. the 1986 Scourge toy by todays standards would be considered a voyager or ultra sized toy.

At the very least the titanium 6 inch G-1 Scourge toy did try to mimick the 1986 G-1 scourge robot & alt mode. but this toys down fall is the size,it's too small,it needed to be bigger, like 7.5 inches tall in robot mode & voyager sized.

Hopefully these 3rd party guys making this, create a 7.5 inch or taller in robot mode scourge toy. then I'll buy one ASAP.

I really love all the detail that went into this sculpt. it definately looks like it was meant for adult collectors & not for toddlers. I feel this sculpt design really captures all the awesomeness of 1986 Scourge in both modes.

DAMN!!!! Thats looks so right! Unfortunately, it won't be $9.88 at Wal-Mart so building ANOTHER classics Scourge armada is kinda out of the question. But one or two.... Looks good, I like this alot more than the X-Transbot Galvatron currently under construction.

If they're doing this just to put out a Scourge figure, then I agree - as nice as it is - these guys are too late..... UNLESS their Scourge is going to be VOYAGER size.....

Hmm. Use this as Scourge and the Generations one as Sweeps...

I'm definitely interested, but the price will be the deciding factor.

I like it a lot but am vested in the Classics/United versions now and can't justify the certain high price for this especially if it's deluxe sized.

why is everyone saying bad timing. its only bad if you bought the united version. if you just bought the store version so what. i mean it was what 13 bucks at most. this guys probably going to be what like maybe 100 bucks at most. i mean i want this guy bad and i bought 4 classics scourges so i could have some sweeps aswell. if your going for authenticity then you have to go with this guy.

I'm not seeing anything redeeming in that head sculpt. The rest is merely passable at this stage. Between owning Botcon Scourge, Botcon Sweeps, United Scourge and 2 of Generations Scourges, I've got enough. I can see and appreciate the effort. I simply don't need any more of this character.

Yeah he looks cool but universe scourge is fine. He would be awesome if he was voyager size but what do I need another deluxe scourge for? He even looks a little short next to that lighter. Why doesn't anybody make Shockwave or Brawn or an affordable Ultra Magnus. Or a better deluxe Rodimus. Or how bout Nemesis Prime. Or a cool movie Megatron. How bout Galvatron. How bout the Aerial Bots. How bout a spot on Soundwave or Blaster. I think these 3rd party companies should stick to add on's unless they have something really awesome. I bet this guy sells for at least $70.00.

Oh how could i forget the one I want the most G1 Jetfire. If anyone is thinking about making this put me down for 1 already. This guy goes for way too much. If I'm gonna pay that much it might as well be for something new and amazing right.

IGear has announced their intentions of revising all of the original minibots (and I think all of the '84 '85 line if memory serves correctly)
ninjascythe79 wrote:or an affordable Ultra Magnus.

MP 12 or 13, its coming.
ninjascythe79 wrote: Or a better deluxe Rodimus.

the new paint apps on the United Hot Rod goes pretty far to improve a fairly accurate figure.
ninjascythe79 wrote:Or how bout Nemesis Prime.
The G2/laser prime from Reveal the Shield will, inevitably, be repainted as Nemesis. There is a pre order up for a Nemesis Movie Prime. We will probably get a Nemesis MP Prime 2.0 from Takara. There are always the "Leaders" from Igear.
ninjascythe79 wrote: Or a cool movie Megatron.

Don't count out a Leader class release of old Megs yet. Their are several versions of the Voyager that are quite pretty.

Look at the front page articles, it's being addressed.

Agreed. Now, if they make these things Voyager sized, actually give him hands, and kind of sharpen some prominent areas (like his Decepticon emblem on his chest, looks a little round), I might consider picking up one. /:)

I was suggesting that because if you wanted to differentiate your Generation Scourges, not only would he have a different chassis, but he would also appear taller. :-B

It's called freedom of speech, mate. Agree with them or not, everyone is entitled to an opinion. I know it's frustrating when someone takes a dislike to something you are fond of, especially when they're trying to pass off opinion as fact. All you can do is recognise when someone is sharing their opinion (which it appears you can) and try to brush it off.

I think this looks much better than their attempt on Kup. May get it depending on how it finally turns out.

I wonder what else they have up their sleeves. Kup and Scourge do seem like somewhat strange choices given that they already have decent original releases. Did they come up with these and sat on it all this while?

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..................... EEsh. You know, he does have some impressive articulation and the most accurate vehicle mode since the '86 Kup. If I was at a convention and the price was right, I probably would have picked him. Might look nice next to Delicate Warrior.
