Skids, a dimensional investigator, deems there to be too many Transformers from other dimensions living in the Legends Universe, and sets out to send them all back home and seal off the dimension (with special "keep out" tape). This concerns Rattrap, who doesn't want to lose his new friends, and Megatron and his female soldiers have no intention of leaving and confront the investigator, who calls forth the Skids Squadron, a team made up of alternate versions of himself. He then exposits to nobody in particular that he got his power to manipulate spacetime when he discovered quantum particles able to cross dimensions and bathed himself in them, and now he's become a powerful defender of peace throughout the multiverse instead of the overlooked nobody he was before.
While the Skids Squadron battles Megatron, Skids himself takes on Nightbird Shadow and Slipstream, shrugging off the latter's pleas that only prison awaits her back home. Despite his injuries, Megatron gets between Skids and his subordinates, warning him not to lay a hand on them, but the self-assured investigator exclaims that he's now stronger than even Megatron and uses his "Full Burst Mode" to blast the Decepticon leader with a lethal barrage of firepower. As he sees Megatron's underlings crowd around his body, however, Skids realizes to his shock that a Decepticon just sacrificed his life for his comrades, something Waspinator credits to the sense of justice that awakened within him during the G-2 era.
Rattrap and his friends then form a wall around Megatron's body and tell Skids that there are no factions in the Legends world: it's a place where everyone lives in peace and harmony, and Skids isn't protecting that peace, he's ruining it! Realizing the locals are right and that he's the bad guy here, Skids undoes the seal and leaves, but says he'll continue to monitor this dimension. A mysterious, tiny, but alive Megatron then climbs out of the Decepticon leader's remains, to the pleasant surprise of everyone present.
Later at a web cafe, Skids looks into his own appearances in the Transformers fiction available in the Legends Universe and is shocked to learn he only had two lines in the whole cartoon, yet he's also kinda happy he got any at all.

I don't think they all need explaining, just the ones who resemble a certain G1 character, like Nucleon, Twin Cast and Soundblaster. In the latter two's case, how much you wanna bet they're gonna pull out the Time/Dimension Travel trope? Twincast and Soundblaster travel back in time and merge with their past selves, easy!

One of these days, I'd like to take all of the online Legends comics and the pack-in Legends comics and, using the Wiki's summaries for all of them as a reference, put them in a chronological reading order.

Kind of is, yeah. Wish Takara'd stop it.

Just because she's never reverted out of the impractical 80's bikini armor back to her original officer uniform doesn't mean she's also doing anything erotic. She continues to act like a law enforcement officer, trying to uphold the law and keep the peace (even if irately at times).Kurona wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Dead horse, beaten, to death.Poyguimogul wrote:Ai Chan, in a bikini, not cool.

Besides, nothing too racy of hers (like her chest or her behind) is exposed or exaggerated in any of her appearances.
Do I wish she had gone back to wearing her original uniform back when the crisis involving Tankor's 80s Transformation Beam had been averted? Of course I do. But it's a complaint whose train left the station a long time ago.

when you say it like that now I see the Ai Chan plays with car robots fire convoy and sharkbyte at the pool and is called a way to deal with a crisis.

That Yuki Oshima designed figure of T-AI in the pool is creepy as f*ck, yes, but mainly because of how young she looks. She's quite clearly an adult (or at least in her late teens) in the Legends comic.
But seriously. It's a cartoon depiction of a hologram of a fictional alien artificial intelligence. WHOOOOOOOOOO CARES.

If they give us full bodies, I rekon it wont be new molds but retools and redecos instead.

Think that's just a bad photo of it. The previous images made the Takara Wheelie look a lot better.

Takara Wheelie all the way for me. The, I guess we can call it white, on his hands and stuff just looks bad. Almost as bad as the horrible gray/tan on PMOPrime. I can wait another couple months for a more Sunbow G1/Headmasters accurate Wheelie. Oh and plus GO Shuta

Interesting, I found there wasnt much different with Wolfwire, Skullcruncher and Hardhead to warrant importing for me. There were as many paint apps. The main difference are the heads but since I dont have attachment to either headsculpt, they both worked fine for me.

Exactly. The heads are the thing. For characters with similar paint apps between Hasbro and Takara's releases, Takara's head sculpts are much closer to their cartoon appearances, which is my number one priority. Heck, even most of the head designs for "The Rebirth" match Takara's sculpts much more closely than Hasbro's toy-inspired ones. In other cases, like with Wheelie, Blurr, Scourge, and Blaster, Takara's paint apps are clearly superior (at least to me). I also like some of the color-matched Titan Master vehicles we're getting with the proper "Headmasters" characters too.

I think that's my favorite thing about them, but not sure if it's enough to sway me to get Takara over Hasbro for most of the releases. Though I think I'll at least get a Takara Blurr and Scourge. Hasbro's versions are both too monotone blue for my taste.

Ultra Mad wrote:Sorry for the confusion. Hardhead, Skullcruncher and Weirdwolf (probably later on Chromedome and Highbrow as well).
All of those are as G1 accurate but in a different way. Hasbro went for the toy accurate headsculpt while Takara went for the show accurate headsculpt. Both are unique and beautiful I am sticking with hasbro because I dont like the idea of Takara pairing them with the extra gun that I can buy seperately on the Hasro version (and get an extra head out of it). I like being able to choose what I pay for instead of being forced to buy a bundle and Hasbro is more accomodating of that.
Posted by Cyberpath on June 8th, 2016 @ 3:24am CDT
So Hardhead, Skullcruncher and Weirdwolf -- Takara. (And likely Mindwipe.)
Will probably have to go with Hasbro for: Brainstorm (no mouth) Highbrow (brown head) and Chromedome (big visor-eyes.)
Unless of course I'll decide that this whole thing is getting out of hand and drop everything.
The extra vehicles that Takara is "making us" buy kind of put me off because of the price. (the yen has also been going up.)
You know what else I'd like to see in the "Legends" line though? A deluxe class cartoon-accurate Optimus Prime; a literal one, not just the deco. The old deluxe was a nice action figure but it doesn't cut it anymore next to some of the new figures. Very unlikely, I know. Because this line is all about repaints and remolds of Hasbro releases.

I think I'll go for the takara version; after this pic he looks way better, I get an extra head... And Shockwave is like impossible to find in the UK.

Reissued a while back for Takara TF Expo 2014... as an exclusive, so never made it to HLJ.
But it's also outdated anyway.

You don't need HLJ to get it. I previously got the Lio Convoy figure from that release via Amazon.com.Cyberpath wrote:Sabrblade wrote:What about the old RobotMasters figure?

Considering how limited the Legend Commander Collection figures were, and how much the American convention exclusives from BotCon go on the secondary market, I'd say the price I paid for the Japanese convention exclusive Lio Convoy was quite reasonable.Cyberpath wrote:The prices on Amazon are cray-cray though, lol.
