According to the preview image posted below, it seems Cicadacon will be a repaint of Skydive (also shown below) and the full reveal will be shown tomorrow on Botcon's site. Since Cicadacon is forming a limb, this means that Sea Clamp will be forming the torso. Which mold do you think will be used? Let us know in the Discussion!

If I had to choose between this and the subscription figures, I'd pick the subscription. More varied and interesting. I hope there will be enough to get in singles. I'd want just the limbs really.
I agree with the Twincast, should have done Dawn of Futures Past 2.

But I see why they went with Skydive for Cicadacon. That head is a close enough match to the cartoon head.
Though, now this means that Sea Clamp is the torso. On one hand, it makes sense for him to be the biggest one since his toy was the biggest of the three. On the other hand, however, Sea Clamp's toy formed the legs and waist of the combiner rather than the torso. And with this set being so heavily based on the show, Sea Clamp was the smallest of the three in the show, with Cicadacon being the biggest. Hrmm.

I really don't know what this is in response to.william-james88 wrote:Sabr, I really dont think its a perfect science. Already there is the idea that theeir red tint might be a combination of their real colour and the red light, plus there is the idea of merging the alt modes with those of the original toys and going from a 3 character to a 5 character combiner. It's not going to all work out perfectly.

Just in response to your puzzlement over who was chosen as the bogger bot and how that makes sense looking at tit one way but not another. and I am saying there is no way this set would have made perfect sense.

I don't think any of the torsos are a good enough fit for Sea Clamp, to be honest.

Crazy idea: Hot Spot, just because he sprays water.

And I would find it really odd if the Club would give us 2 Hotspot molds for their combiners. I mean they did give us 2 tarantulus figures back to back but that's the character. I would doubt that with 3 bombiner torsos, we would get the second twice. I really dont see him with the Superion Torso so I guess menasor would be the one. He does have big powerful arms.

You know, that was the only reasoning I too could think of for Hot Spot as Sea Clamp. Even though we're getting Onslaught for Thunder Mayhem, I feel as though Hot Spot would be the least inappropriate fit, as I really can't see Sea Clamp as being either a truck or a jet.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Now the question remains, which mold is suitable for the torso? It is the mold I see sea clamp with most as well but not so much about the water connection but more because it is made on the long side.

Though, all this talk of water is interesting, as I don't think cybertron has water, so seaclamp wouldn't need/have an aquatic alt mode, would he?
I could see him being a vehicle like onslaught

In the show, he was known for being incompetent in his experiments, referenced from the episode gorilla warfare

He means that it would be one of Scorponok's experiments that actually worked for once instead of how like all his others tended to fail.Starsaber468 wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:That scarily works quite well

Yeah, but that wasn't difficult, everyone else was really memorable. They all had such incredible character

Yeah, it's a shame. Everything memorable about Scorponok was outclassed by the other Preds. His undying loyalty to Megatron and second-in-command rank were taken by Inferno. His scientific experimenting was overshadowed by Tarantulas. His being a scorpion was surpassed by the scorpion-cobra Fuzor Quickstrike. Poor guy.Hellscream9999 wrote:william-james88 wrote:I forgot he even did experiments. He was by far the least memorable character of the first season cons.

Well trimming the fat was what helped that show out, I mean, he played an important part before the new guys showed up, he peaked with the floating island I think, then he just plays the bit role. Important, but not glamorous, I for one remembered him distinctly after the show was over before I got the rhino release on dvd.

Well, with a flip out beast mode head, he could be the first ever, extremely satisfying quadruple changing combiner. With a great: vehicle, bot, and combiner torso, and a really cool beast mode
