Specifically, we're looking at March 2018 releases of LG64 Seaspray and Lione (Sawback), LG65 Target master Twin Twist, LG66 Target Master Top Spin! Still no image available, but we do have price points in Yen of 2000 and 4000 respectively, meaning 17 USD and 35 USD at the time of writing. (Also included in the image appear to be reissues of MPM-3 Bumblebee and TLK-25 Nitro Zeus.)

Lol. They just want to be friends with everyone.
Obviously the Prime Masters are a repurposing of the Titan Masters. The PoTP deluxes will be able to combine with voyagers like traditional Combiner Wars, but also repurposed to combine with each other (Dreadwind and Blackwing). With that in mind I wouldn't say some traditional Titan Masters are out-of-the-question for a late wave PoTP, like the Autobot "shooty-men".

Um, the only 2 deluxe figures that have been shown to combine together are Dreadwind and Blackwing, so I wouldn't go expecting that for every one. It makes much more sense that the feature is unique to them as they were in G1.
I'm also pretty sure Hasbro as commented on no new head/titan masters in PoTP. So I would say the Autobot shooty men are out of the question for PoTP, at least as head/titan masters. Remember, none of the PoTP figures have the removable head and only the legends scale have cockpits that I am aware of. It would be highly unusual for them to change mid-line.

I sort of agree, but don't mind the Hasbro version though. However, with both of them, the "flat-back" syndrome struck again which really bothers me. There's so much going on with the legs that I wish they had figured out a better way to distribute the figure's parts so that he had a traditional backpack or something to beef up his upper back. I feel the same way about Sharkticon Gnaw, who could have been easily remedied if the top half of the "shark" head was attached to his back instead of his legs. They both remind me of "flat back" variant of MOTU Two-Bad, which is the less desired version of the two.

I'll probably end up getting those two over the Hasbro versions for the Targetmasters. Seaspray depends entirely on if I can find a Hasbro version before Power of the Primes starts.

We have images below showing the problem on both versions along with what a fixed version looks like. The fixing looks very tedious though.

One of the photos clearly shows the use of some kind of SAW. That's where I draw the line If I have to saw up a figure to fix it, then I'll just keep it the way it is, thanks

Nope, as the panels in question also accommodates the rivets the wheels are connected with. That explains the saw used. Also, Tribute Orion Pax has the same problem.

As for Hotrod's comic, it's typical "Sikomofo" up to his usual, purile tricks again. He's not exactly the best thing to happen to Japan, or transformers, is he...

It's purely looks, but the space between the two compartments in question does not line up with the notch above them, creating a jagged effect.

Yeah, it took me about 5 minutes just to see what the issue was. I'm normally pretty OCD about my figures being as perfect as possible, but this is such a small detail, it doesn't even show up on my OCDometer.

Not even close. My Tribute Orion Pax doesn't like to cooperate with the leg-panels lining up in vehicle mode so this was originally a ray of hope for me - maybe it's a misassembly that can be fixed, however bad? thought my naive self. Nope, just an aesthetic misassembly that doesn't affect the figure; I guess I'm still just doing it wrong. Still good to know about though, I suppose

If the product images are anything to go by, Orion Pax also suffers from the misassembly.

I had to replace my Blitzwing because he came with two left feet, My Octone has the problem with the cab section not closing properly because one side is crooked. Then there was Trypicon.
I've had other figures I've had to return or replace parts for because they came mis-assembled. I don't remember having the problem as much as I see it now, but maybe it's just me.

I wonder if anyone would have pegged an assembly issue with Kup if there hadnt been so many more obvious QC issues? And if so, I wonder how many asthetic QC issues have gotten past us as a fandom, particularly before the internet allowed us to keep such a vocal record

Can confirm looking at mine. I think Jelze also noted the same problem with hers a few posts back? So on top of the stock images featuring the misassembly, I think it's safe to say that every iteration of this mold so far has had the "problem".

Yeah I’ve owned Kup since January and he looks fine he transforms fine and holds together perfectly fine.
This is the biggest nitpick I’ve ever seen.

Bludgeon is an official figure. Just because TFCC is no more doesn’t take away their figures’ status as official products. If it’s has Hasbro and or Takaras name on them they are official. And while the knees have a flaw they still fully functional and it doesn’t technically hinder the toy. I didn’t even know about that hinge on hotspot until it was addressed 11 months after owning him.

I don't have him, I quickly pulled up a YT review on the set. Easy peasy. I do want him for the Deluxe Prime setup, but I'm gonna wait on how the rest of the TR line develops when it comes to availability. I'm gonna stop right there because, well, this is Transformers Legends.

Olivus Prime wrote:Aaaaand as I suspected, Hot Rod's chest didn't last long, being made out of translucent plastic.
The tight grip between his torso and chest piece meant I had to apply a good amount of force pulling it out for vehicle mode, which resulted in a nasty crack through part of the flame the third time I did it.
I'd suggest filing the sides of the tabs on his chest piece before transforming him too much, if this kind of tight tolerance is widespread.

figure is sighted months early at Walgreens:

UGH! GREY!? Worst figure ever! I will only buy 5 so I can recolor a few and have some in package but Titans Return will be ultimate version with their target master!
Takara reveals new images that with cartoon accuracy:
BEST VERSION OF KUP EVER!
Takara releases Legends Kup and one person finds a small design flaw that nobody found in the TR one for 9 months:

I haven't seen a single person complaining about the misassembly so far honestly. Near as I can tell, the collective conclusion is "whatever, it doesn't affect the figure and looks fine so we don't care". The rest of the timeline seems pretty accurate to me though

Not really. Plenty of people are now just complaining how every figure is busted apparently.

I see it in politics, geek culture, and here.
Whenever you start down the path of "everyone is so picky and inconsistent", the truth is usually that there are separate groups, some of whom change their minds or are hypocrites occasionally, and they overlap with other people. Treating them as one big group usually leads to problems.
It's kind of like the parable of three blind men arguing about an elephant.
Two or three of those reactions apply to me. But not all of them do. For me, vehicle mode is an action feature more than a priority. So the panel assembly issue is a minor disappointment I won't think twice about unless Hasbro announces a Crosshairs redeco or a Platinum release of the Takara Kup, in which case I'll probably tweet the issue at them for future reference.

Gonna be waiting a long long time for that crosshairs deco since Titans Return is over and power of the primes gimmick for deluxes is Combiners again.
I still don’t understand why people want that. Crosshairs didn’t even turn into a truck he turned into a buggy thing.

Ah, but the complaints are about the existence of issues, not how they actually negatively impact the figures that have them. It's the principle of the thing

What problem with the Hot Spot hinge? Mine was fine. Same with Onslaught.
The hinge on the three I mentioned are assembled backwards. Which DOES hinder the toys' bot mode. You can't lock the knee in correctly because of this misassembly. It's a HUGE bummer.

Yeah, because it's the "Takara Tomy Transformers Legends Thread" which deals with everything related to the Legends line. Also, I am pretty sure I read Burn saying that if you had any other issue you should either write in to complain or send a PM so as to not derail the thread again as you just did.

I'm not sure you understood? It wasn't a complaint; it was a tongue in cheek comment referencing that there "could" be heated discussion involving two girls and one...
I can't go any further as that would make me a hypocrit!

Store box sets, Platinum decos, further retools, SDCC exclusives (which often have BOTH Hasbro and TRU exclusives), Hascon exclusives, eHobby, movie line filler, Tribute series... I think we'll see at least half a dozen of these molds again inside five years.
Even the new line has enigmas that use HM sockets (some with faces) and the Last Knight has one true Titan Master and another figure that uses the head socket.

On the plus side, you can plug the extra Scourge heads into the hollow spaces on his gun. In addition to functioning as pilots, spare heads often work as bulk fillers on TM vehicles/guns/accessories.

Soooo uh are we sure this is an actual misassembly issue and not just some weird intention of the designer or something?
