At long last a picture was found on Weibo comparing Devastator to Metroplex. There were also other images of Mixmaster and the individual constructicons. Fair warning, the source address contains images that are not safe for work (that was learnt the hard way).

Yes, for me the left foot looks a little small.
Yes, the back isn't the most attractive.
But all of the other proportions, the kick arse head sculpt, and the overall G1 look have me anticipating the release date.

Aside from Long Haul, I dig the bot modes. They are G1 enough for me in terms of looks, and are still a huge step up from the original toys.

No, I'm not saying G1 important for everyone. I'm just saying a solid G1 look is important for me.

I will buy this. And I'll enjoy the hell out of it!!!!

Don't let the naysayers discourage you bro! Get it while it's at SRP and available.

Oh yeah, no worries... I'm open to reading peoples' opinions, but the amount of influence it will have either way won't trump my own preferences.
I think the sheer size of this guy is awesome, but the look itself has me sold.
I LOVE that head sculpt!!!!

Blame CW Megs for the working treads. Gives the fans to high an expectation.

It's a good thing we have Optimi of every size to make up for the show's inconsistencies when replicating a scene :)

I agree, its to the point where the only difference between this and the masterpiece line is the quality, not necessarily the scale or design.

After the comparison to the other combiners, this is exactly what I've been looking for.... comparison to MP10. Safe to assume a similar size scale with Gen. Leader Megs too. I'm definitely going to get this guy now.

Considering the considerable strain on my wallet, I'm going to skip Superion, Menesor and all and get only Devastator. (That's the plan.... anyway!)

Titan Devy looks a bit taller than Armada Unicron, whose head-horns & shoulder-horns only reach up to the second/lower row of windows on Metroplex's ab section. Devastator's head seems to reach up to the bottom of the ramp door on Metro's chest. So, that looks like about an inch difference in height, is that about right? :-?

Well Long Haul isn't missing no meals, I hear he peruses buffets with Energon Prime.
So these look good, and they may be the only official solution to an MP scale Devastator ever. At the very least the most affordable one. However for large purchases this year Trypticon is way ahead of this in my sights. If I manage to get Trypticon and I find this on sale I'd consider it.

Wut yo talkin about? Huh? I'm happy! I am looking forward to Devy! 8)
Wasn't Metroplex sold for around $300.00 or something at retail? Cuz if that's the case, then considering the size of Devastator, $150.00 is a GREAT DEAL! :saint:
Re: Comparison shot between Transformers Generations Devastator and Metroplex (1692163)

I'm not sure what to think regarding his size now that I've seen him next to Metroplex. I never really though about how he'd size up but I guess in the back of my mind I thought "Titan, be as big as Metroplex", but that is a substantial size difference.

Which makes sense, Metroplex is intended to be a city so Devestator should be smaller, but the whole "Titan" thing feels like a lie.

But then you size him up against the other CW combiners and suddenly the "Titan" thing makes sense.

Not that it matters, I'm buying him regardless.

Perhaps all this time it's just been one big long plan to put out as many Optimii's as they can so people have a variety of choices to choose from when they release the big guy. Image

Devastator is too small in the MP scale. Acording to the Sunbow scale charts, Prime should be at Devastator's knees.

Metroplex is the right scale for Devastator in MP measurements. In MP, Metroplex would be 5 MP Devastators tall plus a bit at the shoulders.

Mp-10 is the centerpiece of my collection too. Everything gets compared to that. I love this picture.

As for MP scale? I don't really recognize it. I like the MP looks... but the scale isn't THAT different. I just compare my classics Prowl and MP Prowl... and one's just a little shorter. Too little difference for me to have 2 shelves for my collection.

Nor do I consider Sunbow to be the gold standard for sizes... For me it's more a cross between faded memories... and the original toy scales. So... yeah, that Devy vs. Prime looks pretty good to me :APPLAUSE:

Personally, I can't believe just how big this Devastator is... Every time I get used to the idea, another picture shows up that blows me away. :KREMZEEK:

The scale on Devastator has been spot on with masterpiece from the start. I love the way he looks next to masterpiece figures and I believe that that was done intentionally. I don't think we will never see a masterpiece Devastator, and honestly in combined mode this fills that void.
