bbts has his case at a reasonable price if you don't have an onslaught, but finding him at retail is probably pretty satisfying

Any american seibertronians feel like helping a guy out? It'd be way cheaper to get him a US retail and ship him over than to get him from £37 off ebay.
No idea how I'm gonna get a shockwave either.

It's very tempting. I've gone to complete my order several times only to change my mind bc I have the UW Bruticus on preorder on there already.
Finding him on the hunt will truly feel great as well like you said.

Well, considering he's packaged with onslaught, that should be a little difficult... Just give it time, wave 1 has to show up at some point, right? Right?

At first I was dissapointed at the lack of Computron and Liokaiser, but now I realize why they weren't announced. With all the stuff currently revealed, (assuming every year has four waves), what would Botcon have to show besides Brainstorm, Astrotrain, Trion, and (rumored, and is the last TR figure the TP predicted that hasn't been shown yet) Weirdwolf?

Which opportunity did they miss?
They wanted to focus on the TR line for the collector's and RID for the kids.
Also CW would have been a bit too much. That tehy'll show at Botcon.

There's also the leader figure to go with Soundwave as well as the legends class such as Ravage and Frenzy (or whichever one is the blue one this time).

I don't really buy that, given that every CW leader wave except Wave 1 had 1 leader class in it.
And yea, I had forgotten about Ravage and Rumble (I don't care what Hasbro says, he's the blue one).

I'm probably one of the few people that really likes and is looking forward to the leader class figures, so is there confirmation that Soundwave will have a wave mate?

steals_your_goats wrote:I'm probably one of the few people that really likes and is looking forward to the leader class figures, so is there confirmation that Soundwave will have a wave mate?
Nope no confirmation, though I really hope there is at least one other fully new mold for TR's leader class. There were 2 last year (Megs and Ultra Magnus), and in total 5 Leaders (G1 Megs, Armada Megs, Ultra Magnus, Thundercracker, Starscream) so I hope we get something similar this year. So far in 2016 we only have one fully new mold (Blaster) and 4 revealed Leaders in the Generations line (Skywarp, Claster, PMOP and Soundwave). It would be fun to have at least one more new Leader Class mold, even if its only in 2017.
Oh and as you pointed out (I think), Botcon can always reveal that New Megatron and Laser Prime and Bumblebee that will be coming out, as well as Gen Reflector, which was also rumoured.

Well if there's going to be 4 waves we can at least have 2 more leader figures coming down. I can realistically see Overlord happening since he had a base mode before and I think someone on here mentioned that he could be retooled into a star saber. So there's your new mold and then a retool of said mold. Unrealistically I would like a Nova and Zeta prime. But I suppose this would be better suited for a different thread

mind you...if you had a sized figure in between those classes, i dunno what you would call it?
the only one that already exists between Legion & Deluxe is Cyberverse!
oh & you've got minicon & headmaster!(even though you just call it a headmaster figure, it doesn't actually have a class size! same thing with minicon! it's just called a minicon figure! no actual class size).
oh btw not all headmaster figures are the same size! coz Cerebros forms the head of Fort Max! & he's much larger! + we don't know what class size Cerebros is! another headmaster that's big is the Transformers Animated one! & what class size is that?

Technically, the Headmasters do have their own class, the Titanmasters.

I'm not sure I follow you? Why do we need another class? We did have ultra and supreme but they went the way of the dodo

I just got Prowl, Ironhide, Mirage, & Sunstreaker.
They are surprisingly OK - a few loose joints on Ironhide and Prowls back end doesn't peg together as well as it might, Mirage's head is crazy tight and it's a bit to scary Transforming Sunstreaker's head and chest plate for my liking also the weapon implementation is semi-terrible. But they are not quite as terrible as I anticipated I'm pleased and relieved to say.
I doubt I'd be saying that though if I'd paid £16.99 for them though - The greatest irony is though - are the moulds good enough to get so very many repaints - likely not - I'd rather had a similarly stupid number of Predacon Dragon repaints myself.

If I remember correctly, the earlier painted prototypes had the two choppers with identical paint jobs. This shows them that they are mirrors of each other. So, they are a bit different.
Clearly we are different!

I can't remember the ones from the conventions last year (you should look into the galleries here), but the CR images always were mirrors of each other.

So my Swindle and Hound are twins, with the same gun and notches, except for the head, and the notch in Swindle's hand/foot/gun to allow it to sit on the back of Offroad, oddly.

Indeed, you are right. I didn't notice it back then because of the similarity between bot paint jobs. Here are the pics from SDCC in 2015:
I always thought these paint jobs made them look virtually identical except for the heads. Then, in the gestalt shot, they are clearly mirrors in vehicle mode.
I just didn't notice it at the time. Although I am remembering prototype images with the choppers on the arms, but I am having trouble finding those...
At any rate, I will echo the sentiment that the final colors are much better than these were. I like her and will be happy to have her in my collection.
[Edit] ANd now that I think about it, if the choppers were on the arms, their mirrored paint jobs would make them look identical in that position. Maybe I'm not crazy after all.
(Actually, I'm pretty sure I am crazy, but that means I'm not because I cannot be aware I'm crazy if I'm crazy. See Catch-22)

Haha no - it's been mentioned somewhere else on this thread, too! Ironhide's hand/foot/gun has the outer part chromed, while the fingers are plain grey. Swindle's is all grey. I'm quite particular about not mixing my Combiner Wars weapons and hand/foot/guns to the extent of marking any identical weapons with a silver Sharpie on its post bottom, if it's the second version.
I've had to do this for Quickslinger's gun, Blade's gun, and G2 Silverbolt's guns. Every other hand/foot/gun and weapon has unique color combinations - sometimes as the thumb joint, or even an almost undistinguishable grey (Dead End and Brake-Neck for example - but the hint is that Brake-Neck has lighter grey in his torso.)

I just checked my Swindle, and I do not have the notch between the fingers either. This is very weird. Perhaps a mis-assembly at the factory? Some poor kid has an Ironhide out there that wont allow for the hand to mount in the truck bed like the pictures show?

Yeah, what I meant was if you switched the fingers of the weapons and not the whole weapon, because I can see that it isn't Ironhide's hand-foot-gun.
And Swindle's normally doesn't have that notch:

I don't think it's a factory screw up, because the shade of grey used for Swin... I mean Brawl's fingers is lighter than Ironhide's. (Refer to picture in my posting just above.)

I mixed Brawl's and Swindle's HFGs up at some point.
Checking back with old pictures, I had the correct HFGs out of the box. At some point in time I must've mixed them up. Didn't even take note of how to tell Brawl's and Swindle's HFGs apart.
And yes, Hound's HFG is a recolor of Swindle's. My first picture shows the mismatched HFG, which I didn't notice - you can tell that Brawl's HFG tapers while Hound/Swindle's is a straight rectangle.
Also, I guess either Cobotron got confused by me getting confused, or he too swapped them by mistake!

If Hasbro is looking to fill in collection holes with each part (combiners first, headmasters second), it seems the most glaring omission to the generations line are the beasts. I'm hoping that's the direction of the last part so we can get proper Dinobots, Predacons, Terrorcons, and Pretender Monsters.

And I found that the standard reverse Bruticus formation does work much better. For one he looks much bulkier and mean, and the weight means you can ratchet his hips back a notch and he leans forward enough to look normal. win!
