A pair of auctions recently popped up on ebay for clear test-shot versions of Transformers Generations FOC Deluxe Starscream and Voyager Soundwave. Both auctions, which were offered by seller 366offer, have already ended, but they included some nice images of the rare prototypes. Check out the images mirrored below.

Bah, call them what ya want, I still want tht perfect clear Starscream... Well, depending on the price, of course. I'd pay up to 50$ for it.
In reality, I think I'll have to settle with Million Publishing 2013 once it go on sale at BBTS.

Even if they're Lunch Time Specials, they're damn cool and pretty much one of a kind.

Also, what is a "lunchtime special"?

Lunchtime specials are basically toys that don't exist really, sometimes employees like to play about with the molds when they're not working, and create stuff like this, toys cast in weird plastic colours for themselves, mostly clear. Sometimes they even put them in boxes and take them home. Since this mostly happens during their lunch brake, they're called lunchtime specials.
Well at least that's how it was explained to me.

Not really when you think of it.
A clear mold would be the easiest way to confirm that all the internal bits and pieces line up right.

These as ice sculptures!
There is something very attractive about the various crystal clear Transformers figures that we get to see (and sometimes own) but only as display pieces of course.

Totally. Clear plastic... so these disintegrate in a couple of years?
These look more like stealth mode, and it's a wonder Hasbro doesn't consider releasing an "ice sculpture" line or "stealth mode" Mirage.
PREDATOR-FORMER!!!

Hardly Clear plastic does not disintegrate, it simply snaps under constant pressure like in major joints. No GPS-like antics here.
