Yahoo Japan has auctions for five minibots molded in clear plastic. Information from Ricochet at TFW2005 may clear up the origin of these toys:

According to the description by the seller:
this is a prize sample given from Takara in the past. Sample was made, but pure clear-white plastic lacks its toughness, so it was never produced. Surely copyrighted by Takara, molded on the toy.


I cannot confirm, or deny that the translation of the description says that, but if it does these are some very rare pieces of G1 awesomeness.
