Bay, what's wrong with you? No offense.

Now all we need is a video that splices all the awesome car/vehicle footage from all three films!

They might be included in the Imax version. From the footage I've seen/heard about, there's just enough to be included as "Imax exclusive" footage. Wanna see the Twins die? See it in Imax.

I saw it in Imax, no Twins.
They're just choppily and pretty obviously edited out. Maybe in DVD release we'll get them back.

Wait, are you saying that they were IN the movie originally, and actually deliberately taken out?
To be honest I was a bit disappointed how their disappearance in the movie wasn't explained at all. I didn't find them that irritating in ROTF, and they weren't altogether useless in that movie too.

Yes. They can be seen driving in with the other Autobots in one scene and the scene in which they originally were killed pretty obviously just had their parts chopped out. Skids is meant to jump in front of Bumblebee when Sentinel Prime shoots at him and then Mudflap attacks Sentinel and is killed so that they can escape, the scene has Sentinel pointing his gun at Bumblebee, then goes to Bumblebee running away with what looks like pieces of Mudflap flying away.
It's always been that the Twins were GOING to be in the movie, but were removed, ratehr then never in the movie at all.

So referencing that spoiler of yours... was that scene actually shot, in which case we can hope for an extended version, or does that information come from the novel?
If you were to speculate, why do you think they were taken out? To placate fans who hated them? I'm sure a significant number of fans liked them equally well.

I'm not sure really, I assume it was, otherwise the scene would've played out cleaner then it did.
And I think they were taken out due to their overwhelmingly negative reactions from fans and critics alike. Bay probably decided that keeping in something that everyone hated wasn't a good idea, although they got killed pretty early on and I would've preferred them being in it.

Hmmm... okay thanks for that. I WAS sure I saw them in alt mode in the movie so I just assumed that I was mistaken. I'll have to look at that scene when I watch DOTM again.

A real shame. Their scene in the novel would surely have been great for fans who liked/didn't mind them (since they are actually kinda awesome, trying to go toe-to-toe with Sentinel) AND fans who hated them (since they both die...horribly).

NOOOO!!!!! Son of a ***** and then some, I was looking forward to that scene. I despised those two worthless wastes of screen-time and was going to consider that particular scene to be one of the highlights of this film and now it's not in it!
Well, aside from that I will say that the Chevy promo clip is very cool and I'm looking forward to seeing the film. I'm a bit frustrated that I'll have to wait until Sunday to catch it but it will be worth it for to me to wait since I'll be seeing it with my kids.
