Not only that but he has also voiced various characters in Pixar’s Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Monsters, Inc., Up, Cars, A Bug's Life, and the soon to be released Monsters U.
Paul, an American actor, is equally comfortable on stage or in front of the camera. We are very happy to announce another guest! Ken Christiansen will be joining us for the show as well!
Ken Christiansen has been working as an illustrator and concept designer for over fifteen years. Starting as a video game concept artist, at Nintendo of America (Ridge Racer 64, Pokemon Puzzle League), then moving to Los Angeles to work in games for the Walt Disney Company (Kingdom Hearts, Finding Nemo). In 2004, Ken started his own company, Bad Flip Productions, working for video game clients like Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, and Activision. After working with Activision on Transformers the Game, and the Revenge of the Fallen game, he began working freelance in media development for Hasbro Inc. (Transformers), doing concept art for their film, tv, book, games, and toy initiatives. That expanded into media development beyond the Transformers brand, including Star Wars, Spider-Man, and more.
Ken’s current work includes the cover runs on the Transformers Prime series (IDW), Star Wars Fighter Pods, and Ultimate Spider-Man Spider Pods. Along with other random bits and pieces, hanging off pegs in the toy aisles, book shelves, and video game departments…

Sorry bud, we did the absolute best we could. You do get all the tools to continue to make your own customs along with some great instruction I would give them away for free if I could.

First off, we are happy to announce that we will be joined by another IDW artist at the show, none other than Brian Shearer! Brian has been working in the comics industry for several years on books such as Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Doctor Who as well as other titles. About 10 years ago he co-created his first creator-owned book, GravyBoy, which gave him the experience of creating and publishing a book from the ground up. Brian lives in Greensboro, NC with his wife, son, and a cat who likes to be petted at the most inconvenient times.
What's that? Not enough Artists for you yet? Then how about the talented John Wycough! John is an inker, Transformers fan, drummer, awesome cook, and member of Tsunami Studios. He has worked on many titles, (Star Wars, Fear Itself, Chaos War, G.I. Joe, to name a few) along with TRANSFORMERS!! (Last Stand of the Wreckers, TF:Robots in Disguise, TF: More Than Meets the Eye, TF: Infestation2, All Hail Megatron, Movie tie ins) Woot!-Woot! He tends to subconsciously live by the motto of the Wreckers, as he tends to Wreck-n-Rule when no one is looking.
Brian and John will hosting our "Learn to Draw Transformers" Panel on Friday Night!
But, wait, what? You still need more announcements? Then we are happy to announce to you our final door prize, PPO5W Weapons Specialist and PPO5M Medical Specialist! That's right, both will be given away as a set!
Oh and one more thing that I almost forgot to mention. For anyone who missed out on Aftershock, there will be one in our Charity Auction on Saturday night The Charity Auction is only open to preregistrants, so make sure you do it soon as preregistration closes this Monday night at midnight. Also if you are planning on booking a hotel room, our special rate also ends Monday at midnight.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Does this mean we'll get another Charticon next year? Because I would really like that, since I can't make it this year.

What, you didn't think we would cover two of the Decepticon Double Targetmasters and leave out the third did you? Our last exclusive for the show is an upgrade head for the Botcon Spinister figure released in 2012, giving him a more IDW look from his recent appearance in MTMTE!
This head will only be available at the show and is limited to 50 pieces! While you are there, stop by the Captured Prey booth to pick up the awesome Nit-Picker and Firebrand by Mastershooter Collectibles to complete your figure!
A big thanks to Wheeljack's Custom Body Shop http://www.facebook.com/MrWheeljack for the design and painting and Megatron31 for the casting of this great head!

Charticon is this weekend! I'll be there Friday through Sunday. There's a meet and greet patio party Friday night, and I'll be on the con floor the whole weekend, but I'll step away, for just a bit on Friday afternoon, to join the IDW artists panel.
As usual, I'll have prints, sketchbooks, originals, and will be available for commissions during the show. Here's a more comprehensive overview of what I'll have with me:
Convention Stuff
Also, I'll be participating in the Charticon Charity Auction, supporting A Child's Place. I'm donating a Transformers Prime : Beast Hunters #1 sketch cover:
Also, I saw there's a couple of Rage of the Dinobots series in the auction, winners are welcome to stop by and get them signed as well. I'm hoping it's a massively successful event!
Hope to see you there!
Oh, and one more thing. Charticon, NC + Discovery Shark Week = Sharkticon Week, on the Bad Flip Blog. Every week day I'll post a sketch of a shark themed bot...you know, for fun.
We start with Hammer Strike.

I made it in and had a blast. I have been to BotCon several times and actually preferred this smaller convention. There were great guests and exclusives and the smaller numbers allowed you to get to know people while making the line-ride a bit shorter. The dealer room was also much, much larger than I was expecting.
I am just a run-of-the-mill fan (well, a pretty intense run-of-the-mill fan) but I was still able to hang out with Paul Eiding, Paul's wife (whose name I am forgetting), Hal Rayle, and another fan for around 4 hours at the hotel bar. (I was even serenaded by Hal and his ukelele.) You get to hang out with voice actors occasionally at BotCon, but the event is so large that something like the experience I had would be tough to pull off.
Plus it was about 700$ less expensive given the low registration and hotel costs.

It was nice to have a fan-based Transformers convention close by and not to large like SD ComicCon to be overwhelmed.
The staff did an amazing job organizing this event.
Being able to meet and hang out with the voice actors like Paul Eiding and Hal Rayle was really cool.
The voice actor script reading panel was awesome to experience.
The dealer room had a great display of vendors and artists.
I was hoping to see more fans in costume, but here is a photo of those that appeared in cosplay, lots of fans took pictures and video of us, (I was suited up as Prowl).

but -
Good news everyone! There will be a Charticon 2015!
Quoting their facebook page:
It was a tough call, #CharticonArmy - this year's show was a great success and we've received an overwhelming amount of feedback and support from all of you, asking us to bring back another incredible event!
It's in that vein that we decided to do the next Charticon in 2015: to give our staff time to recuperate from all the planning for this year's show and to give us time to make sure the NEXT Charticon is even BETTER! We have some BIG THINGS planned for Charticon 2015, and we want to do it RIGHT for you guys! ...
"But what will we, the Charticon Army, do in the interim?" you ask! Do not despair! We will continue to keep the Charticon Community going and growing! We will have monthly Transformers meetups and are encouraging TF fans in other cities to do the same! We are rolling out a new #CharticonCommunities project, run by the fans FOR the fans called #CharticonSpotlight !
Down the pipeline, you can expect more planning by the Charticon staffers for 2015 and we'll continue to need YOUR input and support! We'll be organizing fundraising events through Indiegogo/Kickstarters, contacting more artists, voice actors and musicians, getting more vendors and planning more activities to make the next Charticon the BEST Transformers experience!
If you want to help the #CharticonArmy put on the best Charticon show yet in 2015, let us know how you want to help and we'll put you to work! Direct Message us on FB or email us at FeedTheCharticon@gmail.com
See you all again then, hopefully sooner!
