SDCC
Nice clear photos - a nice change from some other sites' 'fuzzfests'

Photo's taken by Hasbro have to be screwed up somehow, it's the law!

Patrol BB? ACADEMY BB?
SRSLY WTF.
The activator Lockdown is definitely the worst.
Woah, a Hasbro reissue of G1 PRIME. this guy is going to sell for insane prices on eBay.
Crankase is sweet. Breakaway aswell, but he doesn't fit the movie line.
Universe legends are AWESOME. I'm so getting Jazz and hound. Even though the prototypes looks bit shitty.

Looks like the universe sunstreaker mold could be kitbashed into punch/counterpunch, since he can be transformed in two ways...

Also, will this 25th Prime be another store exclusive, or will it be general retail?

Tripredacus agent wrote:Why is animated megatrons cannon on the wrong arm?
Either Hasbro mirrored the original image, which can be found here http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/default.cfm?page=News/Item&newsid=809F172F-D56F-E112-4586B28291BB15B5, like they always do
OR it might be a mistake, but the cannon looks like it rests on its own rectangular piece that can hopefully be removed, so it may be able to go on either arm.

I agree, the repaints aren't all that great. Why would they keep BB head totally yellow when the car is so dark?
Activator Lockdown is a little "overweight"
Crankcase is a tad tooo blue for me
I hope Sideswipe comes out as he looks here, because that head is soo much better than a repainted head.

Dunno if that is sarcasm, but that is Ironhide, and he looks okay. Using the back window as the chest was really clever. Though his vehicle mode has too many "lines" and a lot of the windows are painted that strange blue!

There will of course be more new molds than what we've seen in these photos right? Or does this sum up everything?
Hope not.

There is a deluxe Hound on the way, and he's going to come with a Ravage that fits into the Reissued Soundwave.
Not sure about anything else, but you'd assume at some point we'd see a Ratchet figure since they've made such a good looking Ironhide mold.
Also, I read that once the 2nd movie figures come out, Universe will be "stalled", but WILL come back.
AND, at some point, they will make Combiners, but because they're difficult to make and "the timing isn't right" with everything else going on,
these are on hold.

He doesn't have a gun?????? What the heck is up with that? Is there any chance that one will materialize before he's released, or will Ironhide have to run up and punch the enemy?
I swear, like twenty points of articulation, probably a pretty complex and ingenious transformation, and they can't even spring for a small piece of plastic molded to resemble a firearm . I will never understand that logic.
Also, on the fence about Ratbat, cause Sideways doesn't evoke anything even close to who/what Ratbat is. Maybe if he had a new head, but then again, I don't think any current or recent molds evoke a Ratbat homage. Roadbuster and Dirge look cool though, definitely going to get them.

Will hound be in one of the later waves? Any images?

I was just thinking the same thing!
I like that Evac and Mudflap are getting reissues. I missed the the first time around and didn't want to pay an arm & leg on the Bay.

Hound will be out either at the end of this year or more likely next year as he's part of the 25th anniversary.
I think he comes with ravage as a nod to the cartoon where hound captures ravage. (And frankly who needs a reason - it's a new hound and ravage!!!!!)

So after Botcon, that's 2 Wreckers we've gotten out of Hot Shot's mold.
Have to get that green seeker!!!
Like the Hun-grrr repaint, just a pity they didn't use the larger molds for a lot of those small Classics. Would have preferred the Titanium WW Seeker mold for Dirge but will still get him. Now if only they'd remold the head and give us IDW Bombburst.

...better than all movie versions too for that matter.

- great colour scheme too.
I was just thinking, they'd hardly do a Megatron without a Prime. I wonder if that'll happen. If they do anything like the job they did on Megatron there, I'll be happy.

I just watched a review of him today.
You can put it on either arm.

Sentinel Prime looks better than I'd thought. Looks to have an interesting transformation, I can figure out some of it, but not all. And it's a better head sculpt than I'd initially thought.
I'd also question whether he is in fact deluxe or not. I mean he looks about as tall as Swoop here, and he's not even standing up straight. They have him squatted down like he's taking a dump.
He also seems to have a lot more bulk. Says on the Hasbro site that he's deluxe, but we all know how infallible they are.

Sentinel is a deluxe. He's kind of small actually.

Did you see them in person? If Sentinel's a small deluxe, Swoop must be tiny.

I am impressed from Sentinel Prime as well, although he is mistransformed in those pictures Who would knew that his head sculpt and robot mode would be so show accurate Jazz is very impressive as well Oilslick is a transformer I wouldn't get His toy (at least) is more alien-like than humanoid. The alt mode is good, but I don't like his bot mode.
I don't know if anyone noticed yet that in this image the robot mode has brown spots, but the tank doesn't have any.
Bumblethumper wrote:Sentinel Prime looks better than I'd thought. Looks to have an interesting transformation, I can figure out some of it, but not all.
Actually the transformation is simple: His torso (and head) are under the truck in vehicle mode. The front of the truck goes is the back of the robot mode, so you can say that Sentinel is under the truck . His hands form the sides of the truck - just separate them. Legs form the back of the truck - rotate them 180 degrees (like Animated Grimlock) and separate them from each other. Separate the front things and pose them over the shoulders in order to be more show accurate. I am not sure if there is something else to rotate, but I think that this is it.
Posted by Geekee1 on April 28th, 2008 @ 11:28am CDT
Bumblethumper wrote:Then how come he looks so much bigger than Swoop? Swoops actually quite lanky, if anything you'd expect him to be a tall deluxe with those proportions. Sentinel looks both taller and fatter.

Yep, I was there. I suppose I meant that Sentinel is small for what he is. Swoop and Snarl are deluxes as well. Don't worry though they are really cool.

Well like I said, I can figure out a lot of it, but there's some bits I can't be sure of. Like how his rear wheels rotate up to his shoulders and attach with his front wheels. I can think of a few ways they could do that, but I don't think I'll know for sure till I'm actually holding it for real in my grubby mits.
That's all part of the mystery, and part of what gets my interest when it comes to buying the figures. I like to be surprised.
I mean for contrast, look at Swoop's transformation. I don't think anyone will have to look at the instructions for that guy.
Legends Megatron, I think the alt mode is an unpainted prototype. They did the same deal with Legends Hound. Both have pretty decent paintjobs in bot mode, I just hope they don't cheap out on the production versions. Like look at Jazz. It's a nice mold, but would it kill them to paint the side-windows?

I have a few guesses about how the wheels go to his shoulders but we will know for sure when we buy him
