Same here.
That Fortress Maximus is a good price, though. I'll wait on him, however. I'm sure it'll drop even more as time goes on. In time, they'll sell their remaining stock off, but as of right now, I sincerely doubt they'll go through 100+ at $229.99 a pop.
It's one thing to spend that kind of dough on a VG console and have those sell to the tune of 1 million in a day, but this is just for one person, one hobby. Ain't gonna sell out, at least not right away and not at that price. Especially with all of the mold problems and complaints.
When it hits $200.00 or below, I'll probably bite. It's not like I need it, really, seeing as I have Generations Metroplex.
Back to Gears... I'm going to have to go through my accounts and see which one has enough money, after the phone bill goes out, and try and nab it. If not now, I'll try again on their next sale. I'm sure they'll have another before Christmas comes.

Just for curiosity's sake, what mold problems are you referring to? I got one when they initially came out (I'd waited 27 years for Fort Max!), and I've noticed no problems with him at all. What are people complaining about?

Arms and legs on Spike not being installed correctly, like two lefts or rights, not even attached, you get the idea. Joints being too tight, feeling like they're going to crack. Alignment issues, etc. Now, some of these problems were present in the initial release back in 1987, and the mold degradation hasn't helped, either. There are good ones in the batches, of course. So it's not all bad. Quite a few people have been happy with their Maxes, so I'd say there's not too large a number of bad ones.

Everything in your PoL is fully paid for, including shipping. Also, with PoL switched on everything you purchase will automatically be placed in it and it will sit there for 6 months or until you hit ship. This way you will save a lot on shipping costs.BeastProwl wrote:So the transformers GO! guy is in my POL. Do I pay for it now and only say when to ship it as to save on shipping costs with multiple items? Or can I put anything into my POL and wait until I have the cash to pay the product and shipping costs up front? I don't quite get how it works. I just know I don't want to drop that amount of money on it just yet. A day or two more and I'll feel secure about it (Only have like 60 bucks in the bank right now)

That might just be the thing ever! That's a really good idea, I wonder who thought it up? Thanks though.

It also sounds like they are in the process of improving the system and adding extra features. Hopefully they will confirm this in the near future.

1: This wouldn't even make sense a few years ago when the collectors were throwing money in every direction, now money is tight, even that amasing non transforming Prime is having a luke warm reception.
2: Just like the upand coming non-transforming prime, the original MP Prime, looked amazing in robot mode and did a great job of transforming. You have to dig deep to complain about any sacrafices to the robot mode due to the transformation. The only thing is that this non transforming Prime can have a greater stylisation like the forearms have those extra angles, very reminiscent of a certains comic artosts Prime. But the MP Prime has alot of features from the Matrix compartment, to the lesser known shin vents.
JUST FOR THE PEOPLE WHO NEVER NOTICED, THE ORIGINAL MP CONVOY HAS A FEATURE, PUSH HIM DOWN SO HIS FEET PUSH UP INTO HIS ANKLES EVER SO SLIGHTLY, AND THIS MAKES THE SHIN VENTS OPEN UP.
MP prime has pistons and allkinds of tiny details that are usualy only possible in a non transforming figure.
Which leads me onto the main point, Prime transforms into a truck, we all know what a truck looks like. Scorponok transforms into a robot scorpion. All Renders of scorponok are all based on his toy mode, there is no real world reference, so ll Scorponok has to do is turn into a form that waas designed wih restrictions decades ago. So a transforming scorponok not only is easy, but also has a wide allowance for artistic impression, for not only improving the form but also to make any robot mode sacrafices non existent.
3: A non transforming figure, has to be an amasing figure. So why is this not a great figure. Not only is he not a great robot form to start with, but no artistic improvements seem to have been adressed on the drawing board, and he seems to have weird asthetics, which i can only assume are there becuase he is unstable, and the weird flares are not an artistic impression, as he has no design ques to inspire such design additions. But MP prime did suffer from weight and scale issue. He was shown in poses that if you adjusted his thighs to the same angles, his top heavy weight would push his legs wide open. So I can only assume, the flares are to accomadate stronger ratcheting joinys so that his ankles can perform extreme poses and carry the unbalaced weight. Afterall, paying that much for a posable figure that doesn't transform, and can't pose would be a major mistake.

1. Start with an articulated action figure that transforms from a robot to a vehicle.
2. Remove all articulation.
3. Remove ability to transform.
(Optional: Remove the entire lower half of the figure, and call it a "bust", even though that's not what a bust is.
4. Increase price 1000%.
5. Profit?
