We can't quite see them close enough to make out the alt mode kibble for certain, so I could be wrong, but isn't the "blue Sky Shadow" the Legends Dai Atlas from last year?
Also, Emerje pointed out that the Primal Vanguard ship was also Astrotrain mold, so I went back and looked at it's previous appearance out of curiosity, and noticed that it's visible robot mode kibble includes non-matching colors on it's hands that match up with Omega Sentinel here (assuming I remember how this thing transforms correctly, I don't own this mold), which is an odd detail to include on a comic-only recolor we wouldn't ever see transform:
So I'm going to go one further and say that they don't just share a mold, but that this new Omega Sentinel and that ship are one and the same.
Edit: Oh, and the last panel also includes a barely-obscured-by-shadows Scylla from the new Tentakil, so there's that set of repaints basically confirmed.

The mold is all Sky Shadow, especially in the gun shoulders that Dai Atlas doesn't have. The colors are his tho.

Right, she and the other Seacons (you can see some of their glowing eyes behind her) were in the same tubes Galvatron was in. Looks like they finally broke free. Probably no coincidence at all that they're "primitives" and in a panel next to Primacron. They're going to need a new Autobot to fight off all these new Decepticons, obviously Star Convoy can't do it alone. May be a good time to move Armada Convoy from concept to real figure.

Just because we see things like that in the Legends comics regrettably doesn't mean we'll get them as official toys.
We've seen a repaint of Titans Return Hardhead with Getaway's Titanmaster as Bludgeon and Full Tilt with the Titanmaster from Quake as Sureshot but they were never released.
I like seeing G1 Rodimus Prime as Primus and his 'chariot.
I hate Primacron. He and Alpha Trion were everything that was wrong with the G1 cartoon.

It looks like King Poseidon has switched to fighting Megatron since he defends Star Convoy at one point, so now I think all faction allegiances are off here.Emerje wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:Edit: Oh, and the last panel also includes a barely-obscured-by-shadows Scylla from the new Tentakil, so there's that set of repaints basically confirmed.

The bot kneeling down with Blue Big Convoy and Brainstorm looks to be G1 Skids. Red foot, black knee, door wing and shoulder wheel. It even has the little piece that hangs down on the end of the door wing.

"Big Ban" is also the Japanese way of saying "Big Bang", which Primacron could simply be referring to the creation of the universe, as he also mentions Zodiac, the energy that has the power to create stars and planets.datguy86 wrote:Primacron mentions 'Big Ban' in one of last panels. Kinda figured, but I know these comics love to throw in a ton of references.

If it comes as a UW styled box set I'd be much more apt to get it, rather than 5 individual releases again, but I'm pretty much obligated to get all combiners either way...just pointing out my wishes/preferences. I would hope we get another heroic combiner before God Neptune however, or things will continue to get out of balance.

With what molds we have available, the only possible contender would be Road Caesar. Take Breakdown and Jazz as legs, a torso, and retool the lot of them
Posted by o.supreme on April 8th, 2020 @ 3:20pm CDT
At one time I thought a new Road Caesar could actually include Star Saber as its voyager (go the CW Liokaiser route), but now that we have commander class figures I'd much rather see Star Saber & Deathsaurus as CC. Even still, you could add a couple new members to the Brainmaster team to make a 5 bot' Road Caesar.

o.supreme wrote:I'm sure Landcross would be easy enough as well. Sure one of them is a boat, but the rest are vehicles that are pretty easily repainted by past CW/PotP molds. I'm sure the boat could easily be remolded from something already existing. Either they could go the Liokaiser route and sacrifice a member, or just have 5 of them, and the 6th be modified as a weapon.

Here's my idea tho: retool the torso in such a way it can form the arms as well. PotP Grimlock pulled that off rather nicely so can be done with proper planning.

I'm so confused about the setting right now
We got some flashbacks to the Ark's journey to Earth before the Decepticons caught up to it and attacked the ship in MTMTE Part 1 (4 million years ago).
The present day setting is on a world in a universe that existed in the distant past before time began. This world gets destroyed later and whose destruction leads to the creation of the main universe that Optimus and Megatron were originally plucked from (as in, the Japanese G1 cartoon universe). So, right now, this whole Generations Selects manga storyline has been taking place in an old universe whose existence preceded the Big Bang but which no longer exists.
There's also a quick glimpse at decades into the future of the JG1 universe set after the "Epiloge" of the Legends manga after 2040, wherein Optimus and Megatron finally achieved peace together. But now we learn that exposure to Angolmois Energy in this era ended up corrupting Megatron into his final form: Ultra Megatron Omega. It is this form that the Megatron of 2011 (who is now in the ancient universe of the distant past) assumes after having snatched it from his own future like he did with his normal Super and Ultra forms.

It looks like this manga is continuing what was started in the e-HOBBY Magna Convoy manga in which Bludgeon was watching monitors that showed "The warriors who have inherited the Seven Lights divided from "The One"," and with this we see those seven groups each led by a Convoy or a Prime (the text uses either name for certain ones) and each possessing the White Matrix, the Green Matrix, the Red Matrix, the Yellow Matrix, the Black Matrix/Black Legendisc, the Purple Matrix, and the Silver Matrix of the Blue Corps.Skritz wrote:So wait is Primus calling some rainbow-hued Lantern Corps of Primes/Convoys redecos?
Another thing of note is that it looks like this manga has officially retconned TFTM by claiming that Unicron specifically used Angolmois Energy to upgrade Megatron and his fallen troops into Galvatron and Friends. This... actually isn't quite a new idea since, back in Beast Wars II, when Megastorm was upgraded into Gigastorm via Angolmois Energy, the same grid-based visual effect that accompanied Megatron's upgrade into Galvatron during the movie was also used for Megastorm's upgrade. This comic is just streamlining the similarities of those two events by making them both having used the same energy.

So these new Lantern Prime Corps here consist of:
- Green Lantern Convoy (Beast Tracker OP from Prime Beast Hunters): A small army of just Bulkheads
- White Lantern Convoy (Combiner Wars Battle Core OP): Police-affiliated white characters/repaints (Prowls, Checkpoint, Protectobots, etc.)
- Atrocitus Red Convoy (Titans Return Sentinel): Prime repaints that were still red (Cybertronian Knight Ginrai, etc.)
- Sinestro Yellow Convoy (Universe RiD OP/"Shotimus" Prime): Yellow female characters (Trickdiamond, Blackarachnia, Animated Elita, Misha from Energon)
- Black Lantern Convoy (Go Prime, I'm assuming based on his prevalence in the shots): Deadlock and various Nemesis Primes
- Indigo 1 Convoy (Shattered Glass Prime, I think based off the Masterpiece?): Shockwaves and Pretenders (including Meltdown's Pretender-based test subjects from Animated)
...and now Hardshell's crew stole all their Macguffins (except the Blue, Silver, and Indigo Matrixes, which I assume Megatron has/is retrieving, unless Star Convoy/Optimus still has the Blue Matrix?) and is there to...fight Primus? Cause mindless wanton destruction? Claim whatever Matrix Optimus maybe still has? Pose in the sky there for 20 minutes? Does anyone know?
(No I couldn't resist with the Green Lantern comparisons, thanks for asking)
Posted by Sabrblade on May 15th, 2020 @ 9:36am CDT
- White Matrix = Matrix Saber from Arms Master Optimus of the Japanese Prime toyline
- Green Matrix = Creation Matrix from Galvatron II, the e-HOBBY G1 mold reissue
- Red Matrix = the foldable version of the Energon Matrix that came with Encore Big Convoy (Matrix Buster Ver.)
- Yellow Matrix = POTP Predaking's Onyx Matrix, plus Golden Lagoon Starscream's yellow POTP combiner hand
- Black Matrix/Black Legendisc = Generations Fall of Cybertron Ravage in Data Disc mode
- Purple Matrix = not seen but is presumably the one that SG MP-10 comes with; unless... unless the Gari Robo-kun grape popsicle is it
- Blue Matrix = Blue Big Convoy's Alpha Matrix
- Silver Matrix = the one that comes with Star Convoy

With the theft of the Blue Matrix, Primus alerts the other colored Orders of the Primus Vanguard to defend their respective Matrices from Megatron Omega, for if he gets all seven, all is lost for this universe...
On the Blue Planet, the Blue Order is torn asunder, its members driven to attack each other by the program secretly implanted into them by one of the group's Straxuses. Blue realizes the betrayal, and the other Straxus—Director Straxus—mocks him and explains that the previous commander, Brightes, shouldn't have passed him over for Supreme Commander in favor of Blue. Refusing to dirty his hands by harming his comrades, Blue stabs himself with the Matrix Sword, but the amused Straxus just takes it and offers his services to Megatron Omega so that the other Orders and Primus's ambitions can be destroyed.
Left behind, Turtler moans about his inability to stand up to the villains, but is bemused when the planet's native Beast People thank him for saving them. Primus explains to Star Convoy that, while the members of the Blue Order have perished, their sparks will be stored in his Ark and pass on to the next incarnation of the universe, which is why he led Galvatron to this universe (although Blue's spark is mysteriously absent). Turtler alerts Star Convoy to a more immediate mystery: the absence of Halfshell from the crashed photon sailer...
At the White Planet,White Gallant Convoy is alerted to an invading turtle—Halfshell! The Seacon is here for his White Matrix! The Green Planet faces a similar invasion as Sea Phantom seeks to take the Green Matrix from Green Tender Convoy.
And the second chapter:
The Seacons continue their attacks on the various planets of the Primus Vanguard's colored Orders. At the Red Planet, Red Sentinel Prime attempts to fell Terrormander with his Red Matrix-powered Matrix Buster, but it's of no use. Scylla makes landing at the Yellow Planet, where she introduces herself to the other girls and uses her Angolmois Kiss of Death to take the Yellow Matrix from Yellow Splendid Convoy. The Black Planet is defended by Deadlock, who has been studying under Black Go Prime to become a Swordbot. Black recognizes his foe, Coelagon, from his time in the Seacon's world. Coelagon explains that he's here for the Black Matrix, also known as the time-controlling Black Legendisc.
There aren't enough Seacons to go around, though, and the Purple Planet stays uninvaded. They still have visitors in the form of the Straxuses and Ultra Megatron Omega, so Purple Wicked Convoy proposes that they combine the power of the Purple, Blue, and Silver Matrices to defeat all of their enemies and take over the universe.
On the Blue Planet, Primus is alerted to the Seacons' attacks on the Warriors of Lights. A Beast Person explains to a confused Star Convoy that all of the Warriors are robots who defend life throughout the universe as part of the Primus Vanguard. The Beast introduces herself as Lune and also amusingly explains that "Convoy" means the same thing as "Supreme Commander" here. Star Convoy recognizes one of the Seacons as Halfshell, and Primus explains that he's been changed by the god-rivaling power of Angolmois Energy, which can allow one to change their or others' form and even resurrect the dead. This revelation is cue for Primacron to barge in and berate Primus for using his creation, bringing it from the future and having it proliferate in this universe. Primacron wants to know just what Primus, or, rather, the Oracle is planning...
There's not much time to talk, as the Seacons arrive with all of the different Matrices and combine into the mighty God Neptune! With the Power of Stars, God Neptune seeks to make his creation just as somebody else wishes...

On the White Planet, several hours before Halfshell's attack, White drives through the town greeting the denizens before arriving at the White Order's base. There, he's alerted to the battle between Super Megatron and Star Convoy on the Blue Planet, but decides that the Blue Order can handle it—the White Order's duty belongs on their planet. Nevertheless, White is engrossed in Star Convoy's heroism, realizing that the visitor Primus told him of is himself in the next life...
Having gathered five of the Primus Vanguard's Matrices, God Neptune sets out to use their power to take the Purple Matrix and the Silver Matrix (carrying the blue Star Power of the α Matrix beside its own) from Megatron Omega and Purple. Megatron attempts to blast the Seacon combiner, but God Neptune is unfazed. Straxus takes a swipe with the Matrix Sword, but is disarmed by God Neptune retaliating with the Matrix Saber. The Matrix Sword isn't without surprises, and Blue's spirit emanates from it, revealing that he put a portion of his spark into the sword when he committed suicide. Blue links to the Matrix Buster to give God Neptune a good blast, and Yellow, Green, and Black arrive to restrain God Neptune. White leaps into action in his "White Convoy Grand Prime" mode, but the entire endeavor ends in White being bisected by God Neptune's Neptune Sword.
Grabbing the opportunity, Megatron Omega converts into a new mode that combines with Purple's trailer and ruthlessly shoots the combiner with Angolmois Energy, breaking him apart. Desperate, Halfshell calls Turtler for help, but his plea is interrupted when Megatron Omega broadcasts Halfshell's unkind words about his "brother" from earlier in the photon sailer.
https://takaratomymall.jp/img/goods/4904810153207/comics_second-vol02.pdf
Having watched Halfshell's insults toward him, Turtler turns his back on his "brother", disappointed that his comrade turned out to be as disdainful as everyone else. Now alone, the miserable Halfshell cries and laughs at his despair; looking at his felled crew, Halfshell thinks back to a similar scenario...
Before and elsewhere, the Seacons, betrayed by Duncan, have been left for dead in space. Halfshell mourns new member Lowbhammer in particular when a mysterious, shadowed robot arrives. He offers to revive the Seacons... but only if they do as he says. The mysterious being takes Lowbhammer as collateral and sends Halfshell to 2020 to pick up Turtler.
Halfshell moans at what he's been brought down to—a crewmember being a hostage, violating pirate law, and deceiving his brother. In response, a voice emanates from the Neptune Sword... White! White explains that he placed his soul within the sword and gives the Seacon captain words of encouragement. Nearby, Megatron Omega attempts to absorb the Star Power of the five Matrices God Neptune brought, but he finds his head smashed in with the Neptune Sword. Halfshell takes the Star Power for himself, reforming God Neptune and cleaving Megatron in half. The Straxuses worry about their bisected master, but their concern is unnecessary as Megatron absorbs their energies to reform himself. With an inhuman voice, Megatron Omega declares that this is the form that banished the humans from Earth in the future... Megatron Omega: Perfect Form.
On the Blue Planet, Primus explains that he's out to foil Primacron's plans and calls Primitive warriors to him!
Other notices:
BotBots! There are BotBots in this manga now!
White Convoy's trailer is that of Energon Optimus.
The five Matrices that God Neptune stole for "somebody" in the last part are named here like so:
- White Matrix: Matrix Saber
- Red Matrix: Matrix Buster
- Yellow Matrix: Matrix Gauntlet
- Green Matrix: Creation Matrix
- Black Matrix: Black Legendisc
White Convoy's combined form, White Convoy Grand Prime, is comprised of CW Battle Core Optimus, UW/CW Groove, CW Rook, UW Prowl, and UW Streewise.
Both White Convoy Grand Prime and Megatron Omega have organic-looking brains like Predaking had in the Transformers: Zone episode.
Megatron Omega set himself on Purple Convoy's Container (his trailer) for a Power Up called SF Battery Mode.
Lowbhammer is a redeco of G1 Lobclaw/Nautilator, finally completing that BWII Seacon team.

I'm mostly just guessing based on how we previously saw Dark Nova's tentacles and forces attacking this primordial universe back in the Star Convoy chapter, and how Primus explained in another chapter that this universe is destined to later be destroyed by the Vok so that the present universe can come into being. God Neptune's gathering all the Matrices for this guy, and which doing so would lead to this universe's destruction, so the Vok/Dark Nova are my current suspect for this being.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The shadowy being Halfshell makes a deal with during the flashback kinda looks like Unicron, but it's probably just a Vok/Dark Nova.

Although, upon reading this English translation of the most recent chapters, it seems like this manga is trying retcon Primacron into being a Beastformer (or at least, a Beast Person, as in a member of the race of Beast People that the Beastformers were before they became Beastformers).
