Nice to see these sketchbooks getting some shine.
Widman went in on these books.

I always assumed IDW never gave him enough time and / or money for Regeneration One, given the lower-quality interior work he submitted.
It's at once great and frustrating to see that he indeed still has a flair for Transformers.

The auctions can be fund on his personal eBay account here, and seem to feature a number of pages from Race with the Devil (The Transformers 215-218) and Survivors! (The Transformers 219-222). Check them out below, and happy bidding!
Many moons ago I used to work on the UK edition of TRANSFORMERS. Published by Marvel UK it was one of a number of titles that came out of the London office. At the time I was working on Thundercats but my work came to the attention of the Transformers editor, a certain Mr Simon Furman. Yes, that one. He asked me to work on the book.
That was back in 1988. Here we are 30 years later and some of that original art has come to light. The pages are from about ’89. As they have been kept in a portfolio for the last thirty years they are in really great condition. I have put them all up on eBay so that some lucky person can have it in their possession, rather than it just sitting in a drawer in my studio.
