Looks like fans of the IDW comics are going to be eating well. Thanks to someone over at Australia's Amazon page making a mistake, we now have info of another IDW centered set to go with the Megatron/Senator Ratbat set. And that set is another two pack featuring Senator Shockwave and Orion Pax. In the IDW comics, Shockwave was once a senator with a normal head and two hands, but he was punished into having his hands and head removed and replaced, turning him into how we all know him. This figure would be of his days as a Senator and it is said that he turns into a jet. Orion Pax on the other hand turns into an all terrain cybertronian vehicle.

Shockwave: I'm gonna go with a slightly-tweaked Metalhawk, since it's got a good amount of kibble already in the right places, it would be easy to retool/replace the chest, and the number of transformation steps is already close.Sabrblade wrote:So, who wants to guess what molds this Shockwave and Orion will be made out of? Orion: ...uhhh...it depends on which design, probably...and it's not like the inclusion of the axe can be used as a clue, since Megs got completely new accessories....I'm gonna say heavy retool of Siege Hound? Again, the number of transformation steps is already really close, and "Cybertronian jeep" is already basically a "Cybertronian ATV"....unless it's the IDW Orion design with the windshield chest, then I've got nothing.

Same goes for Miner Megatron, I don't read comics, I'm a cartoon/movie guy.
I already have the Siege mold and the Earthrise version of him, I don't need another. It's a good/decent toy.

I'm sticking with my guess of either Metal Hawk or a Siege Seeker retool. For Prime probably the Siege mold since I think it gives them more freedom to mess around with the truck mode. I can't see them going Deluxe, but maybe Hound could be used for Roller if there's a bottom half of the set featuring some Dekuxe figures.
Watch them do Impactor again.

I'm less exited for this set than the Ratbat / M.Megs, but depending on how they look, it may change.

Hound would be a very short Roller.
As for Pax, he's not IDW at all. He's Dreamwave - he was never a data clerk in IDW v.1. As guess, I'll say Ironhide mold retooled.
For Shockwave, I can't see anything any better than Metalhawk...

Toy development does not happen that quick and we know that they have been interesting in putting Beast Wars characters in the movies sense "The Last Knight" and "Rise of the Beast" was pushed back multiple times because both the pandemic and the need for more production time. The point of Kingdom was to bring the Beasts back into peoples memories and to be sure that Hasbro had all those name trademarks again. So it's a safe assumption that all these prewar two packs regardless of being based on G1, IDW or the Highmoon games are a form of brand synergy to get people in the mind set of prewar Transformers to build hype for "Transformers One".
Actually it takes Hasbro 2 years to go from concept to store shelves. So Kingdom was designed in 2019 when Siege was hotting shelves. Though talk was that the original plans for kingdom were changed to accommodate the inclusion of the Beasts meaning some toys had to shift lines...enter Studio Series 86 which became their new home.
Toys were seeing here were designed back in 2021, so it's probably safer to assume that any synergy is probably serendipity rather than intent.
Anyway...
I'm liking the looks of Senator Ratbat and Miner Megs. The Siege mold might be done to death but that rendition if the character would be worth it.
As for Shockwave and Orion, will be interesting to see what molds they use, and which colour scheme they'll pin on Shocky. Also, how many people do you think will complain if he’s not purple

Prime is said to be deluxe in the listing, so maybe just Kup again. Though the mold that would suit the IDW version best I think would be the new armada cab figure.
Shockwave would be metalhawk, pretty sure.

Well that's dumb, it should be the same Prime that was friends with Shockwave who was basically G1 Prime with some Cybertronian kibble in bot mode. We just got TWO deluxe Orion Pax figures in the past few years, time for a proper Voyager IDW version. The DW version was his War Within body, which would be a nice figure to have, but I don't see them making one. Wouldn't surprise me if they just reused the Pulse Orion Pax mold (from SS86 Kup) and gave it a new head.
Hopefully the listing is wrong as a lot of previous Amazon leaks have been such as the Golden Disk listings.

The War Within and IDW pre-war, Shockwave Senator era Orion Pax designs are pretty much identical. Maybe you're thinking about the design used for the Thrilling 30s toy, which is essentially a one-off design from his Spotlight issue.

Shockwave is a retooled Siege Seeker (called it!). They said they'd fight for a color variant if people ask for it, possibly as a Selects.
Spacebridge teasers (all art of course): Core Snarl, Deluxe Bombshell, Strongarm, Detritus (shows the original box art, no mention of Evo-Fusion), Cyberverse Shadow Striker (image of her her patchwork body), Voyager Bludgeon, new Voyager Junkion Trashmaster (no image but is an "Evo-Fusion" like the other Junkions), and Leader Prime Universe Dreadwing
I wonder if Trashmaster is an Armada Overload retool since it has Evo-Fusion features?

We've already seen leaked images of a new headless Voyager mold at an early production stage, so we know the Trashmaster base.
Oh, I misunderstood, you're saying maybe it's a pre-tool. I don't know the character or figure that well, but it doesn't seem like a natural fit to me.

I think it can work simply because of the way his shoulder canon mode is done by sticking his legs on his arms giving them lots of extension. But I think they'd still have to up it to a Leader anyway just because there's really no excuse for them not including a "Core" Minicon Rollout to bring the price up anyway. Just noticed that Trashmaster and Overload's legs both separate just above the knee and they both have that same "Combiner Wars peg" looking shape at the end.
Probably means absolutely nothing since the shapes are otherwise different, just thought it was interesting.

With that out of the way: hey I guessed Orion right while Emerje got Shockwave, neat. I don't think that pack is for me, but I've preordered the Megs & Ratbat set.
Nice to have official confirmation of universes for Strongarm and Shadow Striker, Trashmaster is a solid name, and the fact that they showed a picture of explicitly IDW2 Bludgeon is again confirmation on that front. Also, Detritus is just a Hound repaint, which I didn't think needed confirming but apparently did?
I swear he had green instead of gold once too, so they've got options.Emerje wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Purple and lavender?Emerje wrote:Shockwave is a retooled Siege Seeker (called it!). They said they'd fight for a color variant if people ask for it, possibly as a Selects.

Ehhh, nothing about them really looked similar based off the prototype we saw, Trashmaster's got a window chest and presumably turns into a garbage truck. I don't see it (as much as I would be down for an Overload).Emerje wrote:I wonder if Trashmaster is an Armada Overload retool since it has Evo-Fusion features?

Rise of Tyranny: https://www.amazon.com/transformers-evo ... 0bdj6xk2s/?tag=seibertron07-20&
Humble Origins is priced at $69.99 for some reason. While Rise of Tyranny is going for $54.99.
With that said, out of everything shown on the stream, I think Brawn is the one I'm looking forward to the most.
SS RotB Prime also.

Indeed I do. I just figured the work that went into this mold and the wings VS the Tetrajets it could have been done but hey what do I know. What I do know is of the 2 sets just announced I'm spending my cashOlla on the set.

Interesting tit bit there with character and mold usage.
Place your bets for the next 2 pack featuring Orion Pax in some way or the Scourge mold.

Like with ratbat and Megatron, I care about one character but not the other. And don't really like the mold for the character I care about. I like that orion Pax comes with an axe, but I already have the other orion and don't need the Hound mold version. Having senator Shockwave would be so cool because his fate is tragic and interesting, but that mold is a weird choice. Granted, the only figure of that mold I have is sparkless Seeker. So it's not a tired mold for me

On top of the Megatron/Ratbat pack we see a Golden Character's legs with the saying "Freedom is the Right of all *something* Beings (that 2nd to last word is fuzzy in all the pics I've seen and I cant make it out). I'm sure its some sort of perversion of Optimus' iconic quote.
On top of the Orion/Shockwave pack, we see a shadowy purple/black pair of legs. I'm sure those who are familiar with the story have a fairly good guess at who these may be.... So, anyone want to share?

Hi Transformer fans!
I hope you all enjoyed today's livestream where we showed off the Nitro gaming chairs, Elite Robosen Prime, some of the upcoming Studio Series figures, the next wave of Legacy Pipeline reveals and our exclusive capsule for the year.
I wanted to post a few pics from our "Rise of Tyranny" and "Humble Origins" 2 packs that you can pre order now on Amazon and Hasbro Pulse.
As I said in the stream, this capsule is focusing on a Pre-war and Pre-faction Cybertron that pulls from a lot of our different continuities from over the years.
It's something I've been wanting to do and was happy when the team got on board and let me do some weird stuff to names most would be familiar with but maybe not in this context.
The most controversial I'm sure is the Data Clerk Orion Pax since he is a mix mash of several designs. His color breaks are pulled from the Aligned continuity. Chest and head design from different IDW comics. He's sort of the embodiment of what this capsule is and how we're pulling from all over.
Also, as I said, I just like it when Orion Pax starts out smaller. Perhaps the body design most folks want will be coming in the future but we needed a stepping stone to show this stage in Orion Pax's life.
Same with Miner Megatron as he certainly has other major life events that he goes through before becoming the Tyrannical Megatron we all know.
Senator Shockwave and Ratbat were part of a theme of " Strange cybertronian shapes that fly." I figure those bots that have that sort of functionality would have considerably higher social standing than those that have to travel the ground. "Your alt mode dictates your function" is just a fantastic bit of pre war story telling that I love and hope we can dive back into again someday.
But I hope you all enjoyed the stream and please be on the look out for more reveals in the coming future!

The one on the Autobot box is almost certainly Zeta Prime with those wings, probably a retooled Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime? Even if it's not Zeta Prime I'm sure that's the mold they're using.
I think the gold one is a statue of Sentinel Prime.

Pretty sure the statue isn't a clue, since that's the statute of Prima that's on the Senate floor in the comic as opposed to being something they made up for the box art, and they most likely copied that here since it's just a detail of the Senate as a location (also I highly doubt PRIMA is happening out of nowhere in this subline, especially given the slots we have left).o.supreme wrote:ok, so much like the Wreckers packs last year, we know there will be more of these coming from Amazon. In terms of what we know for sure, we have:
-Voyager Nacelle
-Leader Nova Prime
-another 2-pack, contents currently unknown
There's also been a rumor that a Marvel colors Soundwave, Ravage, & Laserbeak fit into this capsule somewhere that came with the rumor of Miner Megatron's existence (and yes that isn't IDW, but Nacelle wasn't in the entirety of the IDW1 continuity once either), so either that's half of the 2-pack or that rumor was only partially right.

I hear you. I might be tempted by the Megatron/Ratbat pack. But frankly, SS Scourge is more than enough of that mold for my taste. And I'm heartily tired of the Siege Megatron mold. So as 'cool' as the Miner Megatron deco may look? It's just not worth cluttering up any more of my already-dwindling shelf space to make room for yet another Siege Megatron figure. Looking really G1 rather than "G1-ish".
I would love to see a line of G1 Transformers that look true to their original G1 toy look, but redesigned with better articulation à la MOTU Origins. I'm pretty sure this could work.

I'm gonna guess "show-accurate" vs. not. Like Earthrise/Studio Series 86 vs. Classics/Universe/Thrilling 30/etc.Rodimus Prime wrote:Explain the difference.Sowndwave76 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:....oh no, they did use that picture, didn't they.Sowndwave76 wrote:After seeing the image of Bombshell shown during the stream, I’m hoping that was a hint they’ll be making/painting his torso gray and not purple…

Yes, and rightfully so.
I’m a G1 fan that has never demanded or wanted everything to be G1.
But when figures of G1 characters are made,
I want them to look G1, not “G1”.

Ah yes, because how could I forget that the only thing that is truly G1 is the animation error that is Bombshell's Sunbow bot mode colors, and not his G1 toy, packaging art, comic appearances, and/or his alt mode colors in the same show. That's clearly why every iteration and appearance of Bombshell that's ever come out since the Sunbow cartoon has made him that iconic grey, right?Sowndwave76 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:....oh no, they did use that picture, didn't they.Sowndwave76 wrote:After seeing the image of Bombshell shown during the stream, I’m hoping that was a hint they’ll be making/painting his torso gray and not purple…

Oh wait, not a single use of the character since Sunbow has been grey, because the Sunbow grey is incorrect and he's supposed to match the other 2 Insecticons.
Unless you have a suggestion for how he's supposed to change colors when he transforms in a way that doesn't compromise the figure, so you can have your animation error and I can just skip that step and leave him correct in both modes?

Error Bombshell could be an easy exclusive or a Select that would shelfwarm like Red Swoop did.
Just sayan'.

They certainly could do that, that thought also occurred to me, but I'm concerned they wouldn't.-Kanrabat- wrote:Error Bombshell could be an easy exclusive or a Select that would shelfwarm like Red Swoop did.

-The fact that they used the picture of Error Bombshell for the pipeline insinuates to me that that's the one getting the mainline release
-I don't know if they would go for a "Toy Colors Bombshell" as a separate release when there's only 1 color that's different and there isn't an existing other character to repurpose it as (like how the Sweeps are Toy Colors Scourge)
-They also have mentioned multiple different times now the idea of completing "all 7 Insecticons", so between that and all the recent Diaclone updates, there's 3 more reuses of the mold that I think are more likely to happen before a second Bombshell
Also, doing them separately would force the maximum-Sunbow-accuracy crowd to buy both figures to simulate the fact that Bombshell somehow changes color, which kinda sucks for them.
The only thing I can think that would really solve this in a way that benefits everyone is if they implemented a Selects Super Megatron reversible chestplate, so he actually can change color? But I don't know that they'd have the budget and dedication to actually implement that on a new mold mainline Deluxe in wave 4 of the line (...although he was probably meant for Wave 1 of next years line, so maybe?).

And if there is such a variation, I hope they actually call it Error Bombshell.
