Almost every Transformers figure is 25% off at Toysrus.ca and in stores. Only some of the big ticket items like the Platinum editions and Masterpiece toys are excluded but everything else is fine, no matter the price. That means Combiner Wars G2 Superion is only CAD $112.47 (USD $84.05) and individual Combiner Wars deluxes are only $13.47 (USD $ 10.07).

They had G2 Menasor?!?!?! I know Walmart did but didnt know TRU had him. He didnt even show up as in stock on their computers today when I went for a raincheck. They said he and the fan built combiner werent out and thus I couldnt have a raincheck. It sounds like what hapened to a few of the people who couldnt get that raincheck on starsceam last year.

well this is odd... I just got a Legends Shockwave on Amazon.com for 10.99. I know that's regular price, but considering everywhere else has him 2-3X retail, I think it was a good deal. Too bad they only had one at that price. In fact if you still go there now, it shows the 10.99 one, but when you click on see all items, it is gone...

It depend of the store. At TrU, you can walk in, tell the clerk that you didn't find the item you were looking for, then claim a raincheck. It's a cupon that allow you to buy the thing at the sale price at a later date. IF they have it. Rainchecks have an absurd longevity. About 60 to 90 days in fact. Once again, it depend of the store.

I got such good timing this time. The Combaticon limbs finally showed up on Toysrus.ca yesterday (Thursday) and I ordered rightaway, then I saw that all TF figures will go on sale Friday. They're all out of stock by midday Friday. So I just have to wait until my order get delivered (probably Monday) then I can bring them to a brick&mortar TRU store to get a price match for 25% off! Woohoo!

Or you can just grab as many figures you think you need, don't open them, and wait & hope before the return deadline(30 days @TRU? 60 days @Walmart? I don't remember...) the figures you want are widely available, then exchange them. If the figures still don't show up, just return them. All you waste is time & gas...

I preordered and paid the full price for Devastator at TrU.ca. A month and a half later, they did a big sale on all TFs above 30$. I didn't even had to lift my ass from my sofa. All I had to do was to call them with my bill # and around 60$ was refunded.

When I got the raincheque for MP SS I don't recall them saying anything specific about it being on pre-order, just that it wasn't available yet or something. Whereas with Menasor, their system said "pre-order" loud and clear, and my lady even tried to add it to the list but it wouldn't let her. Perhaps just different circumstances eh Will?

Makes sense. Goodwill (the seller's retail chain) bought a huge shipment of these and was selling them for that price at their stores. I recomend anyone who is interested to get this gorgeous set, it is worth more than that price. I paid 100$ for it shipped and though that was totally fair.

What I find weird about this is that Target had sold out of these online. I highly doubt that if they knew they had more, they wouldnt list em. I think this was a warehouse mishap and it was easier to just give it all to goodwill.

Yeah, I'm in the same spot. I have FOC Blaster, and I'm perfectly happy with him (I know it's not technically G1, but whatever.) I just don't need Blaster, but God, do I want that Preceptor. Also, this perceptor comes with new accessories made to work with the G1 mold. Those are exclusive to this release. A complete G1 perceptor (with non firing missiles) will cost more than this, as Cary pointed out.

I bought this set today at this price, which is extremely hard to pass up. It's just a lot of Transformers for $44 shipped. It's the only Platinum reissue set from 2015 that I don't have yet. What would have really sold me on this set to buy it immediately is if they had FINALLY remolded Perceptor's head/face to be cartoon accurate, instead of dinking around with some silly slides that (I assume) most people don't care about (nice novelty feature, but do something special for people who already own multiple versions of these toys). Cartoon accurate Blaster head would have been fun as well, but not as necessary as Perceptor. The ultimate G1 Blaster head would be a special one that had a retractable visor so that you could do vintage toy/comic book look or cartoon accurate. One day!

The fact that it hasnt been done yet tells me that they wont go this route. I bought CW Cyclonus yesterday at full price so it will not suddenly dissapear in case of a sale. I held on the receipt in case a sale will come up. It once was at 15$ but I guess 22$ is better than nothing. I'll get my partial refund tommorrow.
