It seems like all Age of Extinction toys will be available at retail in one way or another after all. With Power Battlers Vehicon found at Ross a little while ago, everyone was wondering if TJ Maxx would get these as well and if Junkhead would be available too. Well the answer, thanks to everyone's favourite podcaster Rotorstorm, is YES! She has found Power Battlers Junkheap at the Lansing Mall TJ Maxx in Lansing, MI for 6.99$ US. For those curious, there is a gallery available. And for those who have been waiting for a sighting stateside, well, let the hunting begin! Let your fellow TF fans know if you spot on in your area in the sightings threads.

For some reason I do not see anyone making mass efforts to "hunt" these down.

That only proves one thing. That some people are ignorant enough to pay a lot of money for something because they have nothing better to spend their money on. I saw someone on ebay pay $100 for a corn chip they claimed looked like Jesus, so using ebay as "proof" that these are highly sought out is not very credible.

Some people love Jesus that much.

Some people like rare AOE toys that much.

Well, there are a couple factors that add to his desirability. In order of importance:

1) He was promoted by Hasbro as an Earth Day special... which was a year before his eventual release.

2) He's a unique piece. It's not often we get a garbage truck of all things for an alt mode, in fact, including the Go-Bots and Rescue Bots, we only have 4 of them:

- Gobots Fly Trap
- Animated Wreck-Gar
- Rescue Bots Salvage
- AoE Junkheap

And no, figures that are actually garbage do not count!

3) Because he's a tail-ender he's seen as hard to find, which only adds to the desire to have him sooner than later.

Plus, the Power Battler is the only version of the guy out there, so people look past that. I don't consider that ignorant at all.

I know, to me the Jesus chip was a good comparison so something a lot of people like and have interest in.

Shockblast, you could look at it this way: a bunch of scalpers could now raid the tjmaxx store to sell them on e-bay at those prices. Either way people will still be hunting for them.

I would buy one for under ten bucks because I collected all the bad guys from AOE. But I wouldnt spend $69.99 on it lol.

I saw one of the reviews, it looks like a solid little figure; it's rare, but I don't even mind the lackluster articulation, the gimmick would make it a nice desk piece (just him chillin' out with some other figure sticking out of his chest-mouth-thing) I agree with X, if I found it for less than $10 I would probably bite.

In the meantime, TAV Junkheap do the job.

Haven't seen Junkheap yet, but I saw that Vehicon for $6.99 at a TJMaxx, and passed...

...because I already got two for $5.00 each!

That's right, like the PRID Vehicon before him in that summer of love 3 years ago, the Fast Action Bastar-*ahem" Power Battler Vehicon's case has appeared at 5-Below!!! Said case seems to include Drift, Op, and Cannon-Bee, possibly Snarl (I've been having so much luck finding AofE TFs at blowout stores that I don't remember which were at 5B and which were TJMarshaxx).

Though as much as I loved AofE, I'll probably keep my army building below a dozen this time around. How many of those cars did Cemetery wind have at the farm?

I know this shouldn't get my hopes up that any Generations figures will show at the Marsh, but if Arcee and Chromia are on the way, the time should be soon...

Never stop canvassing!

I'd definitely bite on that. In fact, some stores here have gotten hold of overstock up to the wave with Optimus Prime, Lockdown, Galvatron and most of the Dinobots, down to €6.00 at best. Just before the wave with Vehicon and Junkheap. Here's hoping...

K, I'm not exactly sure what your "getting" at, but Chuck hooked me up with the Platinum triple changers and it was a real square deal. No funny biz what so ever. Rather friendly exchange as a matter of fact.

Hi I am new to this forum. Correct me if I am spamming by putting questions in wrong topics. I do not know what to buy. I like garbage truck transformers. Should I buy transformers animated wreck gar or transformers age of extinction junkheap? Can they store any items in their garbage truck beds? Can I see a picture of transformers age of extinction junkheap from behind?
Here are links of the transformers below. I do not mean to copyright I do not own these pictures or links. Please correct me if I am doing anything illegal or if I am infringing on copyright.

Neither can fit stuff in their trailers. And between the two, Wreck Gar is better. The age of extinction one is gimmicky and not meant to be a poseable toy for collectors. It's small and fun but not the best garbage truck transformer. It is also very hard to find. Stick with Wreck gar.

Had the same experience here, no troubles, very little mystery as international postage can be hard to estimate. I now have my Jet Vehicon all well and good. Might be a slightly unorthodox method of selling compared to others but it works well. After all he does have his reputation on the line if anything dodgy happens.

On my end, it was so shady DEALING WITH CHUCK, it was night under a tree. When buying something by paypal, one should pay as "goods" and nothing else. Plus, the dude is unable to calculate a shipping quote at home. Meaning pay as "gift" for the toy first, then pasy as "gift" a second time for the shipping quote that you don't know the price yet. It could be anything. I proposed to add the fees once the FULL price was found out (toy+ship) so I could pay as "goods" and have protection. That's the way to normally do business. Otherwise, it's Red Flag City.

Jesu fokking Christ, just last May, a dude made me pay 140$US for a TF he promised me to ship. After a week of comple silence and no shipping quote, I had to open a Paypal case to get my money back. 2 weeks later, I was refunded. Now, anopther clown try to pull that same boolshayt with 70$US. Same MO. Promises, photo, pay, no ship, silence, paypal claim. Now, I'm waiting for those 70$ to be refunded.

Know, what those two cases have in common? I paid as "goods". So I can be protected in case the seller try to screw me. If I would have paid as "gift", I would have lost 210$US forever. No toys, only tears.

When I do business, I use a food scale and a measuring tape, and the Canada Post website to calculate shipping right away. Then I create a detaled invoice using paypal's "create an invoice" option, for GOODS. Then I say a precise shipping date. I recently sold things to 2 persons recently and everything turn perfectly fine, and everyone's asses were covered. Next time I buy something from somoe outside an online store, I will ask they do the same. Create a detailed bill with ALL the info or I'm not buying.

Animated Wreck-Gar is fun and not popular. You may be able to get one for cheap if you're looking for used.

Unless you find Junkheap for cheap at TJ-Max, get Takara's TED-05 Junkion instead. He's great fun and defenitely worth it. Buy something else at the store to soak in the shipping costs.

Thanks guys. I am considering tfa wreck gar. Which one should I pick tfa wreck gar, junk heap, or junkeon. I know where to get all these guys. Can garbage be stored in junheap's claw or in the gap in his back? Could garbage be stored in tfa Wreck gar's weapon storage section in the back? Which wreck gar should I get the japanese or american version?

For Animated Wrek Gar, I guess in bot mode you could store tidbits in the backpack like he did in the show. As for between the Takara or Hasbro version, just take what's the cheapest.

Try to geg TED-05 Junkion too. He's great. You could store very tiny things in his rear claw but that's it. He's still great fun.

Finally, don't be affraid about corpyright things. Just hyperlink the pictures using the [img] brackets and it's all good!

Finally if you don't mind the more colorful "kiddie" toys, Rescue Bots Salvage is a garbage truck as well, and should be in stores right now:

Transforms in one single step. To all the veterans, he transforms similarly to:

... the Machine Wars Hoist/Hubcap mold :)

*EDIT* OK, really finally, if you like any robot that transforms into a garbage truck, take a look at this:

"For Animated Wrek Gar, I guess in bot mode you could store tidbits in the backpack like he did in the show. As for between the Takara or Hasbro version, just take what's the cheapest.

Try to geg TED-05 Junkion too. He's great. You could store very tiny things in his rear claw but that's it. He's still great fun."

Does wreck gar store stuff in the weapon storage area? see picture below. Does TED-o5 junkion hold more or less stuff than tfa wreck gar in his rear claw? I can only buy junkion or tfa wreck gar. I cannot afford both. Which one should I pick up?

I do not own this image not trying to copyright.

Thank you

Next time, please use the QUOTE button. Also, stop freaking out about image corpyright, for the love! #-o

Anyway, for what I can decipher, you can only buy one TF. Wreckgar cannot countain anything other than his body in truck mode. However, with a slight misstransformation, you can put loads in his backpack in bot mode.

Takara Junkion can hold just a few Q-Tips of bellybutton lint in his claws, but he can do so in both modes.

Having the money for just one bot, I think Animated Wrekgar is the better deal. It's a voyager toy for the same price as the scout-sized Junkion. Plus, he'll be more bang for your bucks for sure.

Try to shop around for Animated Wreck-Gar. I'm sure you can find one for very cheap. Maybe then you could even then afford TED-05 Junkion!

on wreck gar's garbage truck bed, there is a tab that removes two shields in his bed. Would the weapon storage on tfa wreck gar's garbage truck bed hold more junk than ted05 junkion's bed?

Appart bread bag clips, I don't see what you could shove in there.

You seem to have some display project in mind. May I enquire what it might be?

There is no garbage truck transformer toy that can really store anything worth storing inside of their garbage bins, as none of their bins were really made to function as storage compartments.

So can ted05 junkion hold more stuff than tfa wreck gar? What kind of stuff can fit in tfa junkion's claw? I want to display a garbage truck transformer in a model city collecting garbage

He really cant hold much, but the little he can hold is more than Wreck Gar in garbage truck mold. And now that you have told us your intentions, I am wondering, why do you need a transforming garbage truck? Also, both are in very different scales, I think that should be your priority instead of who can carry more stuff. If your model city work with TED Junkion, then Animated Wrek Gar would look humungous.

Show me areas on ted junkion where I could shove some stuff. Thank you sorry for the strange question. I still wonder if wreck gar's weapon storage would be a good place to shove trash.

For Wreck-Gar, forget any storing in the weapon storage. Beside, the weapon storage is on the TOP so it would lkook stupid.

As for TED-05 junkion, have a picture of his claw gimmick active. You can figure out the rest.

I do not mind that the storage is in the top. What I want to know is if wreck gars weapon storage would hold more stuff than junkion. ie paper, candy rapper fragments and teeny tiny lego lights.

thanks

I already told you. Wreck-Gar cant hold anything in vehicle mode, including the weapon storage.

@Sabrblade. Can I remove the blades and stash stuff in the storage space? Does tfa wreck gar hold more than transformers junkion with that small blade storage? Sorry to be redundant.

thank you very much for helping me decide.

The blades cant be removed. in fact he use the special fighting style of rolling backward in vehicle mode, then, he flip on his top and hope for the best.

In bot mode, the blades come out of his backpack so what he do, he just bend over, close his eyes, and run to ram his ennemies while screaming, hoping the very top of his backpack (where the blades come out) hit his ennemies.

Or you could just use Google and stop asking stupid questions. :BANG_HEAD:

You can take the blades out, yes, but that teeny tiny little storage space is all there is to put anything. The rest of the big gray bin houses Wreck-Gar's robot mode body parts, and does not open. The little compartments that house the blades are also on top of the bin rather than connected to its inside, so sticking anything inside the little slots won't lead to the bin's interior.

As for the Junkheap mold...

I'd really like it if they made toys of Blackwall and Rung from the IDW comics, but it'll never happen. Especially Rung, because they'll never release a toy whose package says "??? Mode".

I just acquired some Dino Rider Construct Bot toys and I must say, these are lots of fun. How they can ride the dinobots is well implemented. And Strafe is a particularly good toy. I preffer his transformation over the transformation the deluxe toy got. The robot head is better hidden, he is completely flipped around and the dino heads become the feet. And plus, his wings flap. It's a very well done toy and surprised me greatly. These toys should be super cheap right now if you find them so if you are into trying new things I suggest giving one dinorider figure a chance and to team him up with Strafe.
