Agreed, Bli needs a friend.
A little Solvaset and an eraser will take care of that pesky Autobot insignea without damging theplastic. Also, if you are feeling artsy, Blot makes a nice Slog...

No, don't bother to try to break it down and "explain it" to me. I don't want to hear it, it's bullsh** plain and simple and utterly stupid. As far as I'm concerned they are two very distinct lines and the only thing that they have in common is that Hasbro is doing a stellar job of screwing them both up.
And as far as this Hot Shot character goes... it's a re-paint, I'll bet money on it. It's wave 3, we still don't have full listings of cast and toys and Hasbro is in their "We don't give a sh**" mode and looking to fleece parents and youngsters for every last red cent so of course we are going to get myriad repaints and cheap filler so they can drag this line out as long as possible with just teases of "new" characters. Marketing 101 folks, plain and simple. Don't think for one second that there is an ounce of loyalty or any respect for continuity or regard for fans. Whatever you have your hopes and dreams set on for figures... think again. Y'all are basing your speculations around past releases or on what Hasbro may or may not have said and not a one of you is thinking from a greed/profit standpoint and therein lies your error.
its refreshing to see someone else who actually gets it, to bad theres so few of us to actually make an impact. But i have to agree its way to early for a new character to show up especially when all the bots & "cons" havent been revealed yet. Now if wave 3 shows up around or after the movies release then theres a very slim possibility that its a new mold but my money is on a repaint of a DOTM mold or TFP.

While I applaud simplifying the packaging, the design stinks. I had hoped it was just Movie4 that would suffer from it. But it's spilled over to MP Grimlock, and to this new animated series.
It just doesn't have any snap to it. It makes them look like they're prizes in boxes of crackerjack, rather than cool toys.

Aparantly you never heard of Hasbro saying the following things
They are not using past movie toys for this line (they kinda lied as heli Drift is a repaint of Skyhammer so who knows)
and there are no toy only characters for this line
and there was a leaked listing and for wave three it said the following were in it
Bumblebee (probably the 2014 Camaro)
Stinger (probably in the wave 3.5 like what they are doing with Lockdown in wave 2.5)
and "rally car"
the Chevy Sonic is a rally car
therefor the Sonic is Hot Shot.
And man yo guys complain to much.

Given the size of the toys they're using for the Evolutions deluxe packs, it'd probably have to be either RID Spychanger Hot Shot or Cybertron Legends-sized Hot Shot.
And did Animated Hot Shot's toy even make it to the point where it was anywhere near ready for mass-production before they ended Animated?

Cuz it was totally the other way around with Hasbro making these guys as Prime Abominus first and then Takara redecoing them into Go! Goradora afterward. They were made for Prime as Prime Predacons before Takara ever got their mitts on them in the Go! line.

Thats a little bit improvised, don't you think? building a 3d animation (story, characters, modeling, rigging, the render itself, post composition, etc) takes a little while, sometimes a long time, besides planing the toy production from hasbro side, is always a rush, if they show something, is always upcoming on schedule ... and packed on the current design.
Remember them? Universe MMO... that is still on schedule
well... here another wrong packing, just saying...
Posted by Sabrblade on June 16th, 2014 @ 10:46am CDT
Dude, Takara developed the toy molds for Hasbro. They had time to come up with the Goradora redeco because they already knew what the molds we're gonna look like. But the molds were design for Abominus before having Goradora's colors slapped onto them many months later.BERSEKAEL wrote:Thats a little bit improvised, don't you think? building a 3d animation (story, characters, modeling, rigging, the render itself, post composition, etc) takes a little while, sometimes a long time, besides planing the toy production from hasbro side, is always a rush, if they show something, is always upcoming on schedule ... and packed on the current design.
Go! was nothing big in the animation department. A mere 10 episodes running 12 minutes long using cheap animation is hardly as expensive to produce as, say, 65 TF: Prime episodes.
Abominus came first, in Spring-Summer 2013. Goradora came second, in Fall 2013. Hasbro came up with the designs, and whose colors were worked on by Joe Kyde.
Takara merely recycled the existing designs for the Jaki in Go!.
What do those have to do with anything? None of those have been connected to the MMO (which is now a MOTA, btw). And Ironhide's design came from the Binder of Revelation.BERSEKAEL wrote:Remember them? Universe MMO... that is still on schedule

... eeeh, tied to Prime ?... that is the point, everything in transformers is associated, a crossover, inspired from different transformer sources (Binder of Revelation, used internally by hasbro developers to help them to keep track on their mess)... Perhaps each source is revealed later, as a comic/movie/game/line, and most of the time takara is the last one showing his official work in the right environment, rather than hasbro rushing and mixing up everything.
and yes now is a tactical game, and is still in develop process, perhaps Hasbro packed its toys years ago together with movie verse and so. I wonder if this Abominus will ever show up in Prime show, along with Evac.

The continuity isn't dead, but the cartoon is. When Beast Machines started, Beast Wars was done. When Energon started, Armada was done. When Cybertron started, Energon was done. You can kind of compare Beast Hunters with Beast Wars: lots of toys, but only a few made it into the cartoon thanks to studio production budgets. In Japan, filler lines were made with the toys left over or non-show toys in the form of Beast Wars II and Neo with some original retools and new molds. No way can one claim the toys released in the US first were made especially for the Japanese shows.
By the way, how did we end from Age of Extinction back to Prime?

Metro Prime wrote:The Flip and Change Lockdown would work really well with Leader Class Optimus (in robot mode, that is), if his legs could just move.
Plus, none of the simplified figures have weapons.
Interestingly enough Prime comes with a sword, maybe because it's Prime?

I think it's because he's more hollowed out than the other figures, due to his gimmick, so the extra plastic in his sword doesn't affect the cost.

I guess he looks OK. It's impossible for me not to compare him to RotF Lockdown, and as unfair as that is AoE Lockdown just doesn't seem impressive in comparison.
Is that clear plastic being used in his joints? That doesn't seem wise...
Also, I wonder how well he can balance with the gun plugged onto his head. His feet are really tiny.
