I'm sure you guys know how I enjoy doing comparison shots, especially of figures within the same series or of the same mold, so as you can imagine it's taking me quite a while to go through all of the ROTF figures. I'd estimate that I'm about 60% of the way complete with the photo and cropping process of this entire list. That means there'll be a massive amount of galleries hitting the site starting in a couple of weeks. It'll probably take me about a month to get all of these posted on the site once I start posting them mid-July.
You should see some of the galleries below that I consider "rainy day" galleries popping up in the next few days such as the Dinobots, the Classics Universe figures and a couple of others.
Without further ado, here's the list of 98 galleries that I'm currently in the middle of. This list will most likely grow once I get the wave 3 Scout class figures. Once I start working on those, that'll be an additional 9 galleries to add to this list. 2000+ galleries here I come!

Not a chance at this time unfortunately. I'm way too far behind on ROTF and Classics Universe/Henkei galleries to have time to do galleries that aren't relevant to the current galleries. I sure wish I had time though ... I've wanted to finish up the Beast Wars Neo and Beast Wars II galleries for quite some time. I can't wait to have an excuse to bust out Octo Tank finally.

Not too many pics out there of either

I'm planning something big for the Waterfall and Volcano bases (I think I have the waterfall base ... is that what came with the green frog Cybertron?) I accidentally bought an AFA graded Volcano base. I got it for $100 with a buy-it-now. It's AFA graded 80. I've wanted to do a few pictures of me taking a hammer to the AFA case, busting it open, so that I can do a proper gallery of a figure that was once AFA graded. Of course, maybe I'll just find a MIB version instead and sell the AFA version that I got for so "cheap". It'll be a while until I figure out how I want to do that gallery.

When you took photos of Leader-class Megatron, did you take some without his stupid little "toes" flipped down in robot mode?
For him to be movie-accurate, he really shouldn't have them. I don't know why they're even there in the first place...

IF I sell it, I would definitely be interested in making a profit off it since I know the MIB version goes for more than what I paid for it in AFA graded condition. Though I think it would be more fun to destroy an AFA container and open it up than it would be to sell it. I'd love to see that on YouTube and in the spotlight image on the homepage. Not a fan of AFA graded stuff personally, though I understand why some people are. Just not my thing.

Thanks for pointing out the toe-thing with Megs. I'll take a look at it when I transform him back to robot mode here in the next week or so. I've had him in tank mode since the end of May when I started doing all of these ROTF galleries ... I'm kind of forgetting what he looks like in robot mode. Can't wait to compare him to the Voyager class version, which I haven't transformed yet.

I'd pay 99 cents on iTunes to see that! I'd also pay to see people's heads explode at the sight of a "hallowed" AFA graded figure getting "violated". Or some such nonsense like that.
If you decide to promote it on the site, make sure you increase your hosting plan for a few weeks!

Not as much as I should
Doing all of these galleries is all about efficiency. I don't play video games or things of that nature. Basically I set aside about 10 to 15 hours per week to take photos. I rotate, crop, optimize and all of the other things I need to do to get the photos ready for the site during my commute to and from work (which is about 10 hours per week). I usually seem to fit in a couple of hours per week to transform a group of figures at one time while watching a movie with my fiancee. If I don't have figures to transform, you might catch me carefully removing a batch of figures from their packages. The biggest waste of time is spent transforming figures back and forth between their alt modes. If I can shorten that process to only needing to transform a figure once, it saves me a significant amount of time in the long run. Basically the key to doing as many galleries as I do is doing the figures in groups. As for older figures, it makes the most sense to do older figures when they somehow become relevant again in the future (i.e. G1 Skyquake and Action Master Banzai-Tron both became relevant this year when their new BotCon versions came about).

Stuff I've never seen, stuff I've forgotten, and some that just amazes me. It really is a very positive part of the site, and I am happy it's here.
Thanks for the compliments. I'm glad you are enjoying my hard work.
It's hard to believe that for the first four year's of Seibertron.com that there were no galleries. And now I can't picture a Seibertron.com without it.

Interesting. I think the toy might look better with the toes. I'll do a few shots of it both ways just to appease everyone. Thanks for pointing this out, Skowl.

Of course. I think a lot of people don't really realize all the time put into the galleries alone. Especially if you're doing them all by yourself. A lot of people probably assume that since the galleries are so vast, there are a team of people working on them. But it's the work of only one man. I've been around long enough to know that for you this is a labor of love. Though even this must take a backseat now to what you should (and probably do) cherish the most.

- The Japanese version: Galaxy Force Sonic Bomber (same toy, but slightly different colors, plus chrome silver &gold paint)
- EX-02 Galaxy Force Sonic Convoy - another slightly different colored version, but with more gold chrome, all red changed to metallic red, and the gold chrome chestplate is now red chrome
- Movie Wingblade - Autobot

Ah, Wing Saber. I've got his gallery half finished (started work on his gallery back in April 2008 but never finished it). Wing Saber's biggest problem was that he was at the tail-end of Cybertron and Wingblade came out at the tail end of the 2007 Movie's line. It generally takes me longer to do galleries of figures that come out at the end because the figures that come out in the line following the end of a series always take precedence. Hopefully I'll have time at some point to finish up the galleries for Wing Saber (Cybertron), Wingblade (Movie 2007), and Jetstorm (Movie 2007), though I imagine you'll see me finish up galleries of more popular characters/figures such as Classics 2.0 Ratchet, Hot Shot and Henkei Smokescreen first.

Yeah I look at all of the galleries I'm in the middle of right now and I keep picturing Simmons' line from the movie about "being one man, all alone". Anyone remember his exact quote?
It's really tough right now balancing Seibertron.com with being a new father, not to mention my other responsibilities and obligations I have to worry about. Fortunately for me, it will be a long while until this many figures are released all at once.

These are probably going to be the first new set of galleries from this entire batch of galleries because they were easy to finish and I don't have to do robot mode comparison pics. Should have these up later tonight.
Almost done with many other galleries. Devastator should be up later this week, maybe on Friday or Saturday. The Fallen, Ravage, Soundwave, and a few others that don't have many robot mode comparison pics to do will be coming up soon as well.
Probably going to finish up Devastator's gallery tonight and start the Robot Replicas galleries to start finishing up robot mode comparison pics.

You sure the combined form looks that bad (movie aesthetics aside)? It's really grown on me after doing the gallery.

There's also about 20+ Robot Heroes galleries coming soon as well as the remaining 3 or 4 Scout class figures that I haven't started taking pictures for yet.
I think I've got most of the pictures completed for the Leader Class figures. There might be a few more comparison shots that I need to finish up, but they should be launched within the next two weeks. The original 12 Robot Heroes are almost complete minus their faction comparison shots. Same with the Robot Replicas. Most of the FABs are finished up as well, with the exception of the robot modes for Optimus Prime, Sideways and Starscream. I still need to take pictures of the remaining deluxe and voyager class figures. Robot mode pics still need to be completed for most of the 2007 Premium figures.

The Premium Leader Class figures will probably get posted before the other Premium figures. I think all of the pics are completed for ROTF Prime and Megatron minus a group shot of all 3 Leader Class figures plus some action poses of Optimus Prime, which I somehow totally missed. I'm looking forward to finally posting the galleries for these figures at last. I'd say they're long overdue but with all of the galleries I've cranked out since May (156 galleries since May 16th to be exact), I don't know how (when?) I could've finished them sooner.

I'm still working on finishing up these galleries. I think I'm getting pretty close to having them all completed. I think they're mostly complete except for some group/faction comparison shots.
Also wrapping up the final photos for the remaining ROTF galleries that I've been working on. I've almost finished the FABs and the Robot Replicas. The regular line is also nearing a close. I'm almost done with the remaining 10 Deluxes and Voyagers and I think that'll be it. I think there's only 35 more ROTF galleries I have to complete not counting any new/upcoming figures.
Just when I think I'm almost getting caught up, a whole slew of new figures has to come out. Joy!
I plowed through a ton of photos for the latest Walmart exclusives this past weekend. I'm 3/5 of the way finished with Hardhead, Powerglide, Skyfall and Fearswoop (aka Hooligan). I also took this opportunity to do pics of TRU exclusive Countdown and Darkwind. Even busted out BotCon 07 Dreadwind for comparison pics, as well as G1 Powerglide, G2 Skyjack, G2 Hooligan and G1 Hardhead. Heck, I even finally applied the stickers to my MIB Japanese G1 Countdown so that I could do comparison pics with the new Countdown. Also pulled out G1 Skystalker for comparison pics with G1 Countdown.
Also found time to transform ROTF Mixmasters for the ROTF Mixmaster (G1) version and to do Hoist as well. Man, Mixmaster is a bitch to transform, especially when you follow the instructions. I think I'm finally getting the hang of that figure. I can only imagine how frustrating Mixmaster is to a child.
Hardhead, Powerglide and Skyfall are my three biggest priorities right now followed by Countdown, Darkwind, G1 Countdown, and G1 Skystalker. I'd like to have their galleries posted online by the end of this week if not sooner.
Posted by Seibertron on October 8th, 2009 @ 11:45am CDT
I'm making good progress on the galleries for Fearswoop, Hoist, (G1) Mixmaster, Darkwind, Countdown, Micromaster Countdown, and Micromaster Skystalker. Darkwind is complete except for a few robot mode comparison pics with Countdown. I need to finish the robot mode pics for the other 6 galleries which I hope to get to on Saturday or Sunday morning.
I should pass the 1,900th gallery point here in the next week. Definitely well on my way to the 2,000th gallery. That will be quite the milestone.
