Walmart Canada has some new Transformers toys that were not seen in the country before. These are the 10 inch Grimlock and Starscream from the Authentics line. They are leader sized but at the deluxe price. So very simple, yet big and inexpensive for younger fans to have a big transforming toy that they can transform by themselves and that wont break the bank. These use the Evergreen designs we have seen in the past.
They were 19.99 CAD, 15 USD. The previous wave was exclusive to Walmart in Canada, so this will probably be the same. You can see images of the toys along with their transformation schemes below.
If you have found them, share your sightings with our community in the sightings section and on our boards in your region related thread.

And those are way more interesting than the good ol' Rescue Bots for sure.
Having known, I'd have told my friend on the phone who was shopping for his neightbor's young child.

Are these sold anywhere in America? Never seen them in stores here, seems like something you'd see at Walgreens, Big Lots, or Dollar General.

I sent an e-mail to the staff and didn't get any conclusive responses.

Yes, that is what they are.
And Emerge, people have reached out on Facebook, these showed up at Aldi's in the US. Looks like it's old news US wise, but these were never really reported.

Canadian Tire had the smaller ones that look like what we see in the link below:
https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/tran ... ds#store=9
These are the 10 inch ones, pretty sure they never went to Canadian Tire.
Canadian Tire did have a 10 inch Bumblebee and Optimus but those are form the cyberbattalion line, not from Authentics/Evergree.

You're right. The packaging is similar, but the link is definitely the ones I saw. But I'm certain I saw Ratchet, too, even though the website doesn't show him.

Yeah Ratchet's also one of them, I didn't link all of em.

Big OOOOOFFFFF..... Those may be the ugliest Transformers I've ever seen. Ultra tall, ultra thin, ultra hollow.
Rescue Bots, small 1 steps, and Ultra/Ultimate class Cyberverses are way better looking and seems more solid than those "dollar stores knock off" for the young child TF beginner.

Movie Centric is understandable, the character we know best started in the Movie Verse. So he'll have some movie verse toys and some crossover toys. It's like how a top seeker list would have 1 or 2 movie toys in there among other incarnations.

Honestly, I think the police car altmode suits the name particularly well. Especially compared to G1 Barricade's Ligier JS31 altmode.

Yeah, did the Generations-style only on purpose to keep it manageable. The Movie lines go overboard with toys every single time.
About "Barricade" fitting police cars, Hasbro's C.O.P.S. line had a character named Barricade as a Crowd Control Specialist.

There's even more Barricade than that. He has a bunch of toys from TLK and I even like his tiny turbo chamger

As Jelze themselves confirmed to you, they were only talking about figures catered to collectors and the like, which is what I correctly interpreted from their post. So I was pointing out that there were a myriad of barricades out there that we don't really care to remember or not.
Anyways, I personally like the tiny turbo changer but the list will include one slot each for the Earthrise and Siege version. Not sure which is superior though. I really love the colours on Siege.

For those unaware of the differences, Alpha Class figures are 7" while Bravo figures are 5".
Heres what Jtprime17 shared:

The Authentics line uses the Evergreen designs for all the figures and are intended to be a low cost alternative, so all kids can enjoy the fun of Transformers. They are not as complex as their Generations cousins.
Have you picked up any of the Authentics line?

I hope so too, its a great evolution of the character

and I certainly wouldn't mind Barricade being the bot that brings in more bots from the movie-verse into wider TF lore, like Nitro Zeus, Mohawk, Blackout, etc.

I can only think of Dino, Blackout, Nitro Zeus, Mohawk, Scalpel, Brains, Stinger, and Dragonstorm.
Am I missing any?

Dispenser, ejector, Crowbar, Dreadbot, Berserker, infernicous, vatti bot, Oreo bot, KSI boss, watch that killed hitler, skullitron, bulldog, sqweaks, lieutenant, day trader...the list goes on. There’s a ton of them

Plus, if you really wanted to go there, a lot of characters with shared names but very different designs could get absorbed into TF canon with slightly different or new names

I guess I was only thinking of characters that had a speaking part, or more than a few seconds of screen time. I would include a few of your list for sure. And yeah, there are alot of bots that could use a new name. I'd love to see movie Sideswipe get some generations love.

There’s also Shatter and Dropkick who got his name from a 2007 movie figure who wasn’t in the movie. I would probably wager there’s more original transformers than characters with legacy names in the live action movies.

Does Barricade not count?
Also, not sure Dino would be considered an original character by all.
Anyways, you also have Scorn, the baby dinos, Daytrader, the Knights, a Submarine transformer, Cogman, Que, Dispensor, Junkheap, Berserker, Crowbar, Crankcase, Hatchet, Hooligan, Sqweaks, Canope, Bonecrusher, Jolt, Shatter, Dropkick and I am sure more than that too.

You would consider Dino to not be an original character but include Que who has more in common with his intended name (Wheeljack) then Dino (Mirage) does?
Considering the Mirage name was entirely abandoned beyond a few-prerelease things like some merchandise and novel/video game appearances and has gone only by Dino since DOTM I think he counts as original but that's just me.

That's what they're for, in part. Standing in front of the three pegs of robot toys at a Dollar General or Family Dollar, or in the seasonal section at Walgreens?
