I'd prefer a Prime in lime green colors. Have him come in a Mountain Dew 12 can case (reinforced with a window of course). Would be cooler if it was the leader class movie Prime as well. But I'm probably really reaching.

I would love to see either of those happen.

Since I first saw this story on 2005 a few hours ago, I've seen nothing but disdain for Mountain Dew. What's so bad about it? I thought it was quite well liked over in the States.

I love the Mountain Dew. I mostly only drink Diet Mountain Dew myself.

Just like they did with Superman Returns last year. You latch onto the biggest movie of the year and market the hell out of it. Bay and Co. won't mind...Pepsi probably paid through the nose for the rights. It's nothing but free pub for the movie...this thing continues to impress me with exactly how HUGE it's going to be.

Cheap, Optimus carried Pepsi(I'm sure while dreaming of a Coke)for years, and all they do in return is throw back a Mountain Dew.

I wouldn't call the upcoming Transformers movie the "biggest movie of the year" just yet. Both Spider-Man 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End already have stronger claims to the title {with PotC 3 possibly being in the best position to take the honor since PotC earned over a billion dollar's last year}.

But no doubt about it - Paramount is going to make sure TF Live is going to be one of this years "BIG" movies, particularly since it'll have some breathing room between it and PotC 3 and S-M 3.


It'll be interesting to see Pepsi's TF themed commercials when they hit TV. I wonder how they'll incorporate the transforming angle into them...[/i]

This all sounds good to me. I could see some really unique cross-marketing here, if things are done right. I like Mountain Dew and such, but I have to admit that I'm a Coke fan at heart (hey, I live near Atlanta, give me a break ).

Alright! More Pepsi cans with a movie theme. Only, unlike the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings cans/bottles, Transformers will indeed be for my collection.

My only concern is that everytime something gets overly promoted, it usually bombs badly. Here is to hoping that the TF movie will be the exception to the rule. *bottoms up a Mountain Dew.

It'd be cool if Pepsi finally brought over one of their common Japanese cross promotion techniques - specifically the bottle cap figures. Providing they don't over do it with total number of different collectible figures {EG not much more than say a dozen}.

Any chance of them reshowing the old Pepsi generation commercial with the pepsi and coke machines who turn into robots from the 1980s? I can't even find that on youtube!

LOL! I love it! It's just a shame that there's not a steakhouse that's going to promote the TF movie. They could serve Optimus Prime Rib!

I know Pepsi helped to also promote Phantom Menace. Maybe we'll get a 6 ft. Transformer by them like a lot of people got a 6 ft. Darth Maul statue.
