"The item in question is a new Star Wars Transformer. It's Darth vader, and the one I saw stood 10 - 12" tall (at a guess). Whilst I don't collect the Star Wars Transformers line, I instantly recognised that it wasn't the one that transforms into Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.
Instead this one transforms into the Death Star. I didn't see it transformed, so have no idea how good or bad it looks, but I expact we'll see it at the US ToyFair next month."

There is a reason my Starwars TFs are well n truley hidden behind my childhood Starwars Action Fleet toys.

I seriously doubt it. Though it would proove to be the saving grace of the line if that was the case.

Nah it should be Grand Moff Tarkin.

I have entertained the Falcon, but I can't justify the $40. The Death Star will fall into this catagory. However if I ever find them cheap enough...

If it really was....then why are they starting on a second year? Personally, I would think that if the line was failing, they wouldn't have even offered to make any more.83457W422102 wrote:This line is made of epic fail.
Still, if nothing else, they need to kill the Jedi Starfighter mold real quicklike. I mean, having every noteworthy Jedi turn into a Jedi Starfighter is just plain boring & lazy.

That is actually pretty spiffy. If that were what they were going to make Vader look like, I would be so all over that.Caelus wrote:Just thought this piece of fan art was pertinent:

Also, if they're going to make a Death Star Darth Vader, they should go ahead and make Spaceball 1 and have it turn into the Mega Maid.

Is it definitely confirmed that the alt mode is the Death Star or is it speculation at this point?

Somewhere I heard it was a posibility to see some TF turned into SW vehicles IF The SW Line did well enough

Action Fleet rocks . I love those little guys, and got quite a few of them. When I get more space, I'm gonna display those guys. True, that Death Star wasn't round, but it was really fun, and that's the most important part.
As for the Darth Vader Death Star, dang, I'm actually kind of entertained by the idea. Probably not worth the MSRP, but when it gets to clearance, I wouldn't mind another planet former. If I would get it, it would be my only Star Wars Transformer.
Anyone else think the line would have been better if they made up new Transformer characters that transform into X-Wings and what not?

Because it's Star Wars. Toy aisles are constantly flooded with SW merchandise regardless of if it sells or not.
Somewhere in a pokey little corner I sometimes find TF's. The REAL TF's too. Not some half-arsed logo whoring that SWTF is.
And really, Vader? Vader had next to nothing to do with the Death Star. Palpatine may have conceived it, but Tarkin was the one that ran it. If they absoloutely insist on having SW characters then it should be Tarkin.

It's tough, but not overly difficult. IMHO.

Cool, I have the same opinion. Lining up all of the plates and the shell pieces is kind of a pain. Overall though, I really like mine.
