Possible BotCon 2008 Megatron First Pictures

Damn, I was just about to post this. Nice going Couterpunch. On the figure, I not too sure about it. I never had that Megatron so I don't know but are his legs miss transformed. He seems to have water retention and cankles. The head looks to big as well (I know it isnt the original). The colours are OK and he has a G1-esque quality. Given the body design I think it would have looked better as Galvatron with a new head. Will probably still get it off of ebay though.

that would be an awesome mold to use. i wont be getting this set, but that would make a great addition.

Who is the yellow crane? I don't remember him being anounced as one of the exclusives.

Yep. Still only want evil Rodimus... I think I've pinpointed my big problem with the majority of this set, though: I'm just burned out on the majority of these molds, homages or not (Goldbug).

Boo. Its just a re-painted Energon Megs. I dont care for that shatterd glass Botcon set either. Energon megs is horrible imo. On a positive note tho...cant wait for those Classics 2.0

No it is not, new head sculpt...

yeah yeah...I could sculpt a new head for it. Basically it's an energon megs repaint. and a barely-noticable new head. I just get tired of the re-painting the same ol crap and calling it "exclusive" and charging you an arm and a leg for it. trying to exploit my wallet

Send me that bulky-ass brute of a toy to work with I never bought an energon Megs. Dont play me for no sucker foo...I'm a model-building kit bashing mofo...

I don't get why people don't like this. I think it looks great. It's different enough from Energon Megatron to warrant purchase without feeling cheated. If the really deal is like this, I'll be very happy. I just hope they give us that remolded sword with him too. I think the final version may have battle damage. The mold already has battle damge molded into it. This version may have paint apps that show off that.


People don't seem to get it. Prime is in Galvatrons colors and Megatron is in Primes. Why didn't they make Prime in Megatrons colors you say? Probably because if they did, he'd still look too much like Optimus, Magnus, or even Nemesis.

M'eh. Still not totally happy with this set to buy it.
