Seriously, near me the G1 RHs flew right off the shelves, but the movie bots they can't seem to give away.
I look forward to the G1 and Beasts though.

but personally, I think the molds are
WEAK.
And what's with Megatron's face????

Megatron_Wolf wrote:So they'll make a robot hero version of Dispensor but not an actual Transforming version? To tell you the truth im getting a little sick of these guys.
Maybe they'll eventually make a Transforming Dispensor later in the line (They probably have to work out a contract with Mountain Dew to use thier logo)
As for this, I never liked the RH, but If I see Dispensor & Ironhide in stores, I'll definitly pick up(for a Robot Hero, Ironhide looks pretty badass in that pose

Anyways, I love the idea of Dispensor, although I wish he was a regular Transformer. I'll probably get this Allspark BB too, and I'm actually liking this Megatron vs. Battle Jazz. Don't know about Prime vs. Barricade though, but i'll probably get that too!

1. I am fucking sick of this line
2. But I am getting Dispensor/Ironhide (mainly for Dispensor)
3. Barricade's face is scaring the shit out of me

Why, too kiddy for you? Seriously, I'd rather have 50 Robot Heroes, than let's say 8 Robot Heroes + a bunch of people bitching about the lack of them.
Just be happy Hasbro is actually listening to the people asking for this line, because many people actually enjoy it.
Posted by Autobot Snake Eyes on January 29th, 2008 @ 7:41pm CST
come on the robot heroes are cool.
Even though yeah i would prefer a tranforming version of dispensor just be happy that you get a dispensor at all.

I think you are right on with this. I tend not to by non-transforming Transformers, but they are doing a good job
with these things.
I actually think the pairing of Megatron with pre-death Jazz
is one of the best jobs Hasbro has done with any of the movie toys.

Dispensor = sooo cute, must have!!
Bumblebee = awesome sculpt, another keeper
Starscream = maybe my favourite Hero to date, awesome pose!
Jazz = sad they all got new sculpts except Jazz, still it's a fun mold.
Megatron = why do they keep putting blue on him?! And his face looks seriously F'd up - the first Hero was better.
Barricade = he looks... happy?
Optimus = he looks... constipated?
All these sets are great except for Jazz and Megatron. Glad they all got new molds (except Jazz). It's worth it just for Dispensor, but the other new ones are great as well. Sad they didn't do an Arcee one, I would have liked that...
Hope this line continues, I love these guys too much.

Spoken like a true "Anti-Action-Master-ist".
But yeah, why make a Robot Heroes version of a character that never had a main line toy?

Whoah, chill dude. It's just my opinion. Like a lot of other things, these pile up on my store counters, making you have to climb over them, and they won't bring out new figs until the old ones have sold. And I have NEVER seen anyone saying, "PLEEZ HASBRO WE WANT MORE ROBOT HEROES!" I would like to have Transformers that transform. The RH's were good in the beginning, but they're just getting repetative (the same figs in different poses). Remember, this is just my opinion.

Because chances are we WON'T get a mainline toy of Dispensor, so it's this or nothing.
And I think most fans would rather have JUST the Robot Hero Dispensor than nothing at all.

The other two I'm not sure about though, maybe if I have extra cash...maybe. And why is Barricade strutting?

I was in a big WalMart type store(the NZ version) the other day and dropped by the toy section for a quick look at the TF's, they had one Ultimate BB on a shelf and ten - yes TEN! pegs full of Movie Robot Heroes.
I would have lol'd but it was too sad a scene

Dispensor - Haha! Worth getting crappyhide just for this dude. It's quite nice it's only coming out as a non transformable RH, makes it more fun & jokey.
Optimus Prime - Nothing special, it'd be easy for Megs to kick 'im in the balls here though, expect some funny poses in the future.
Barricade - Nothing special at all.
Allspark Power Bumblebee - Quite nice, I like it.
Starscream - Very much improved on the original RH SS.
Battle Jazz - No...
Megatron - Blue?
On the whole, meh.
Starscream, BB & Dispensor, yes ^^
Ironhide & Megs, NO!

I used this line as decorations for my holiday tree. The G1 characters were bright and festive, the movie line with it's blander colors (except for Bumblebee, Ratchet and Cliffjumper) were not quite as effective.
I want BIG characters like the other hero lines! Unicron, gestalt teams, Metroplex, etc...

Stormrider wrote:Are these very popular? What age group do they appeal to?
I really do not get these. I'm not sure who would like such a thing. When I first saw them, I thought they were kinda cool. Then I looked at them closely and their facial expressions all look mangled. They don't pose, transform, nothing. Soo, I passed and the more time goes by, the happier I am that I did.
Since they are cheap, I am guessing a lot of people grabbed them and are now in completionist mode which is the only way I see there being any demand for these.
Still, no skin off my back. I don't get thee, but ood news for those of ya who like these.

Dispensor would have made a great limited edition deluxe or voyager but the RH format is a waste.
Posted by zhgingaah on January 30th, 2008 @ 7:58am CST
A number of you are clamouring for a full blown version of a cameo bot that Trasnforms in to a vending machine?
WTF?!
Robot heroes are a bit of fun, for my money they're for those of us who had G1 when we were kids and now want just a little something on our desks at home or at work to say 'yeah, I'm a TF fanboy'.
Bit of fun... chill out dudes.

These BB and Ironhide (and maybe SS) molds seem to capture a single moment in the movie, and they do it quite well IMO, nice idea.

I'm predicting this softdrinks guy will get so popular that he has to appear in TF2!
Posted by Dead Metal on January 30th, 2008 @ 9:37am CST
I mean wasn't there a new articel about a RH dispensore comming out, being folowed by a deluxe version and we all hoped that it was the Dewbot?
Guess this means that we are getting one!

I wouldn't call them completely useless, I set mine up with my 6inch Titaniums, and they go pretty well together. I also got the KIT Rumble and Frenzy, so with titanium LaserBeak, it looks like they're all being launched.
It's disturbingly cute, but still disturbing so I like it!

It would be the first figure I would buy if they came out with a deluxe or voyager class Dispensor.
Posted by Blasta-Blasta on January 31st, 2008 @ 8:16am CST
what a waste
the only one I will buy is the bumblebee vs starscream because I can use bumblebee's version to make a new character.

And for the Steering-bot... Turner!

Not happening.
I can't believe so many people like these molds!!!!
Most of these look very sub-par to me.
I really dig Robot Heroes, but these lack the quality that I was used to with all of the others.
Obviously the styling changes their look slightly, but the proportions of these seem too far off to me.
I guess I'm waiting until the next wave of G1er's arrives.
