I am presenting this as a rumor for now, but the LA Times started the ball rolling with an article they did on Spielberg.
We'll let you know when we find out more about the sequel to the Transformers Movie in the Seibertron.com Movie News.

Anyone who gave into the whole STRIKE hype is someone who gave into it!
Movies, especialy ones that make money have a schedual to keep, something like a year postponment can easily upset a following.
After all, why would they give some other franchise room to squeeze in and take away that next paycheck?
I never gave the strike much notice, something like that won't stop the giant wheels of progress.
Bay, Spielberg, Hasbro, Paramount, Hasbro, Takara, and so on, none of them would let the intrest sway on a cash cow like this.

I honestly was expecting the sequel to be delayed for a long time, at least until 2010!
2009 was my best case scenario. Long enough to make a quality film, but just soon enough that the wait won't be agonizingly painful.

Sweet, can't wait to see how it turns out. I hope Megatron makes a comeback or something. I really can't wait til plots start to leak and everything all over again.

The only thing that concerns me on this is the strike thing. This might mean that they are going to try to hurry up & get the movie slapped together before the strike hits....& if that's the case, we're going to see a sloppy, craptastic sequel that could have been better if they waited & focused more on quality rather than speed.
.....That & I hope Soundwave, Devastator, & the Dinobots(or Grimlock at least) makes it into the movie.

2009? i don't know that seems a bit rushed to me. as much as i want to see another tr movie i also want it to be done right and 09 just seems like it won't give all departments enough time to make the movie what it should be. i think a 2010 summer shot would be better, give everyone more time to relax and give it the love it needs. but in any case my fan side takes over and says OH YEAH 2009 BABY! rock on.

Success of the last one should mean that there will be less complaining this time around for the sequel. If you believe this statement then you believe that President Bush can run for a third term!
