That seems to depend on whether or not you guys have Argos stores.

What did they do? drop every company's name in a hat and just draw for each figure until there was nothing left?

Damb I hoping to get the repaint as I already have Robo-Vision Prime and I don't like getting 2 figures that are so similar. What is Argos anyway?

Well it doesn't really say one way or the other.
On the one hand, it could mean it's a UK exclusive, period.
On the other, it could mean it's exclusive to Argos in the UK and no other stores there could carry it.

I guess we'll find out in coming days. I'm going to guess that it's the first one though.

Oh well looks like i wont be getting Nightwatch Prime then. Now i can save the money for something else. Not to upset about the Prime BB one. I already have both those figures. Nice to see the UK getting some stuff. Now all we need if for japan to stop getting so many and every one will be happy.

Just looking at that Voyager optimus prime with free deluxe bumblebee '74... funny how its 7 euros more expensive than the other voyager tfs if bumblebee is supposed to be free... lol.

Um...nowhere on the packaging does it say that Bumblebee is free. This is merely a simple 2-pack. Nothing special about it, other than being exclusive to Argos.

So, you're paying seven more over a Voyager's price. You're still getting Bumblebee at a discount. Most 2-packs do that. Except TRUs...they charge full price for their's.

TRU 2-packs are a rip-offover here. The Blackout and Scorponok 2-pack is £40, but if you were to buy both figures seperately it would only cost £30, so you would be paying £10 for the box. Rip-off or what?

what makes it weirder is it's $25 here in the states for a $20 figure and a $10 figure. Man, now I know why the Disgruntled Brits are so disgruntled...

hmm, unless argos have the wrong pictures, that is not the OP/BB 2-pack, its the wrong BB for a start, i hope im wrong

also, there seems to be 2 prices, the one linked above is £36.99, but this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3706002.htm is only £24.99, damn im confused...is this the 2 pack announced earlier or not?

Just have to wait till someone buys it or sees it instore i suppose

The link i gave you is for the Irish Argos... so the prices are in euros... yours is in pounds sterling.

ahh, i see, still i would like to know if it is the 2 pack or just Voy OPs with a 70s BB

There seems to be some confusion as to the Optimus / bumblebee two pack... as far as i can see its not your typical two pack like the TRU ones you get in the states... it seems to be just your standard Voyager optimus prime with a supposedly free deluxe '74 Bumblebee which is probably carded. I have nothing but the website and argos catalog to go by and it doesnt show much in the way of details.
Re: Nightwatch Optimus Prime and the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee 2 Pack Exclusive to Argos (248702)
Posted by Robo-Chugster on July 28th, 2007 @ 10:46am CDT
well knowing Argos and Hasbro UK, it is just a standard Voyager with the carded 70's BB, which is a pain for those that have a 70s BB and want a Voyager OP

Aah well, us Disgruntled Brits are used to this stuff by now

That clearly isn't the correct 2-pack.

Here's some pics of the actual 2-pack, that we thought they were talking about:
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/imagehost ... 1648a9.jpg

Which is clearly different from what Argos is selling.

That might explain why it's so expensive.

The 2-pack I just showed you, will probably have a slightly higher price than that of a Voyager, but not a full $30.00 (USD)

If it's 08 bumbles and a decent price, I may pick this up. Damn plastic crack addiction. :-x

You can't trust Argos for the images on the website or the catologue. You should always get a product viewing before buying anything you're unsure about.

EDIT: the website says Voyager Optimus Prime as the title. There is no mention of BB which makes me think it's just normal voyager Prime with a free carded BB (probably old version) stuck along with it. Yes, Voyagers can be £24.99 in some shops.

In the actual catalogue it says Optimus Voyager plus Bumblebee deluxe £24.99 it also says 'Available August'

I reserved the nightwatch leader prime online earlier, picking it up tomorrow, my wife is buying it for me :D the downside of that is i have to wait until my birthday..... the 30th of August

Im sure its been mentioned before but you get a free bumblebee poster with the leader figures and some of the other stuff too.A 'lenticular' poster that changes from car to robot apparently.

The catalogue itself has a small picture of prime on the front

Apollogies if ive related info that has already been posted im pretty tired!! :D

Haven't picked up the new catalogue so I didn't know that. Perhaps it is the proper 2 pack then?

I ordered this from the Argos web site last night and they have emailed me to confirm delivery on Tuesday morning between 7am and 1pm.
If you are wanting it that much (and I know the 08BB is like hens teeth) then go to the site and order it now. you do have to pay £4.95 shipping though. As someone else posted here, most stores do not have them in stock yet. I tried all stores in about a 30 mile radius from my home.

I cant wait to get my hands on my Nightwatch, he is currently under the bed in the babies room and i cant have him until the
30th when its my birthday. I'l be 32...its so great being a kid again!! (not that being a collector of such fine items makes you a kid, im refering to the excitement of childhood type things and getting those teenage years out of the way when i lost interest etc.!!)
