The movies website
Movie Web recently caught up with
actor Tyrese Gibson, better known as sgt. Epps from the Michael Bay
Transformers movies. The actor sat down and
talked about his role in the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
"
Yes, my character has been upgraded to Master Sergeant Epps. I am the top dog in the air force. I am a master sergeant. I am bringing on way more air strikes. Michael Bay really beefed up my presence in this sequel. I was really happy about that. Just being on the set with all of my cast members really made me feel like we'd created a family union. I think we created something that is really special. The fans out there really showed up and made us feel appreciated for what we did. It felt good to be working on something that the world is waiting to see".
"
No. I can't. I'm sorry. It's all secrets. Its way more robots. There are a whole bunch of new robots that the world is going to be introduced to. There is going to be way more action sequences. All of the stuff that goes on is really insane. What I love the most? I can purposely say this. I have never done nothing in my life, or been a part of anything in my life, where I feel like ever man, woman, and child in the world is going to see something that I've been in. And it's a lot of pressure. It is something...I don't know. It's just a lot of pressure. It's like someone telling you that, while it might be a messed up comparison, a tsunami is going to hit in seven months. And you can see the tsunami before it comes. How do you prepare for that? That's how I look at Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It is just so big, and just so gargantuan. It is just really amazing. I am glad to be a part of it. Michael Bay is amazing. Spielberg, Shia, Josh, Megan. Also, you guys should be looking out for Matthew Marsden. He is a British actor. He was the head of the UK forces that are tied into the film. It is going to be pretty crazy. I want to leave you with this fan hotline number, because I am so hands on. I communicate with my fans directly. I have a number, and it's free. I am not making any money on it. Nor are the fans charged for calling. The phone number is (818) 287-8968. It is just full throttle communications with the fans. They can reach out and make whatever suggestions they want to make. Or whatever. I am always looking to better myself in all areas".

So much anticipation and waiting has gone into this long awaited story arc, it's no surprise that everyone wants to know what's going to happen.
Comic Book Resources got a chance to talk with Transformers writing master, Simon Furman, and poked to get more good spoilers out of the author from the upcoming
MAXIMUM Dinobots comic series. Remaining true to his tease but don't spoil modus operandi, Mr. Furman gave some info that doesn't kill the story, but may make alot of readers happy.
“You really can just pick up issue #1 and jump right in,” Furman confirmed. “Everything you need to know is right there in the five-issue series. Honest.”
This comment comes from the question of where this story arc ties into. Yes the ground work was laid in various Spotlights such as
Shockwave and
Grimlock, but this series can stand on its own for those of us who didn't get into all those prior arcs.
If you didn't already know, MAX Dinobots hit comic store shelves today.

Wizard has put an exclusive interview up on their site with Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, that was conducted by ToyFare. Goldner answer questions in regards to his work and the
Transformers Movie and GI Joe movie franchise. The relationship between Hasbro and Hollywood. And what the future might hold.
You read the complete interview at the following
link.
"
Well at Hasbro, we are very focused on reimagining and reinventing Hasbro brands. For some of our properties, getting our brands onto the big screen was an early objective of ours as we began to work to turn the company around back in the early 2000s. The brand that we had first in mind for this was G.I. Joe, then Transformers. It just turns out that Transformers got to the big screen before G.I. Joe".

Stormrider: Top to the morning to you governor. So Sledge, what has it been like collecting Transformers in the U.K.?
Sledge: I think the expression is something like “it’s often been a headache, but it’s never been a bore.” ....

The
Los Angeles Times blog section
The Dish Rag, has posted a very brief interview, of sorts, where Isabel Lucas tells us of some of the action sequences she was involved in during the filming of
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
"The role for me was not, necessarily, involving that many stunts, but it was quite a physical role." Stated the Australian actress, who then went on to describe a scene in which her character,
Alice, is lifted to a rooftop via a body harness. We reported
here of a possible rumor/ spoiler for her character, which "jumping" onto a rooftop may support.

A while back, Seibertron.com
reported that new Transformers webisodes may be in works. Now it appears that they will become a reality.
According to a report by
Pitchfork Media, the lead singer of the group
Subtle will be doing the music for them.
Through his father, a longtime employee of Hasbro, Drucker has partnered with the toymakers to work up some music for Flash-animated webisodes of "Transformers" and "Action Man". Those will debut through the fall and winter, with more to follow in due time.
Keep checking back here for more information on the release of these webisodes.

Thanks to a tip from Seibertron.com member, Autobot420, we have found out about an interview happening tonight on the radio that many may want to listen to. The one and only voice of Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime, Neil Kaplan, will be a guest on RVD radio hosted by former Professional Wrestling star, Rob Van Dam.
Topics will include Halloween, Ghost Stories, Spirituality, Hollywood, RVD TV and Pro Wrestling. The episode will air TONIGHT from 6-8 Pacific, 9-11 Eastern. Apparently you can call (347) 308 8754 to share your ghost encounters, or in our case there is no reason we can't ask Neil about his work on Transformers.

here.
Update:
The replay of the show is now available. The primary topic of the night was Halloween and ghost stories, but things got a little side tracked as Transformers were brought into the discussion by board member Autobot420.
Autobot420's call begins at around the 38 minute mark with his own ghost story, then in about 10 minutes the topic changes, bringing Neil Kaplan into the fray.
