Now, just mere weeks before it's release, we finally have some in-packaging photos of MP-39 Sunstreaker!
The pictures, coming from an account over on Weibo, show the traditional, high-quality box that most MP releases come in. The packaging also shows off his articulation, accessories, and scale compairisons, like normal. Something interesting to note (and something that's shown in the photos) is that his front-of-box pose is inspired by his classic G1 packaging, something we haven't really seen in Masterpiece releases. It will be fun to see if this is a running change with MP packaging! Check out the photos mirrored below, and then tell us in the Energon forum if you'll be picking this figure up!

Many of you may remember the original storyboards for 1986's Transformers: The Movie that
went up for auction on eBay a couple days ago (the listing is still ongoing by the way, if you're still interested in checking them out)! Well now, from the same eBay seller, we have an auction of the original storyboards for 1985's Generation 1 cartoon episode City of Steel.
Aficionados of the old cartoon may recognise City of Steel as "that episode where Optimus Prime got disassembled and turned into a robot alligator", and the storyboards up for sale do indeed cover that scene, as well as other memorable moments (like Sideswipe wrestling Starscream's jet mode in midair) and other deleted or revised scenes that didn't make it into the final episode.

Transformers City of Steel Original Production Storyboards 1985
This is an original set of storyboards for the October 17th 1985 Transformers episode City of Steel, by Douglas Booth. These were obtained from the Sunbow studio back in the late 1980’s and kept in a dry, smoke-free environment far from harmful UV. These boards are hand-labeled Nelson, making this most likely Transformers producer (and AKOM studio owner) Nelson Shin’s personal copy. The storyboard features deleted and revised scenes, giving a rare glimpse into the production process of a three-decade-old cartoon episode. The boards have been authenticated by noted Transformers expert Jim Sorenson.
Transformers storyboards are incredibly hard to come by. They seem to turn up only every few years, and often sell for thousands of dollars. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity! If you need any more information just ask. Lots more pictures below, take a look!

Sunstar has been gracious enough to send us some more images of the chocolate Transformers advent calendar she found in Burlington, Ontario, which sports a Transformers: The Last Knight theme and carries UK-made chocolate goodies (with chunkier chocs for later in the month, too, though not Transformers shaped) - you can check out the image below, and browse around your local British import shops for a chance at finding one - this particular set is from
The British Grocer! Social media tells us that these are also out in the US, so try hitting some stores and let us know what you find.
From the southern lands of (currently snow-ridden) Italy, we also have images of a similar calendar, this one featuring the Robots in Disguise character designs, and containing Walcor's chocolate instead of Kinnerton's. Thanks to a heads up from IDW artist
Kei Zama, we have new pictures of some licensed T-shirts from the Tokyo Comic Con that feature art from Zama herself! The shirts include the
previously seen Optimus Prime, Megatron, and the Autobot and Decepticon versions of the Japanese Transformers logo, along with a new shirt that features the purple and black master of disaster with a goatee himself, Shattered Glass Hot Rod! The Optimus Prime shirt is based on his appearance on the very first image of the IDW Optimus Prime comic, which has become a staple of Zama's, Megatron's art is based on his IDW Transformers appearance pre-Dark Cybertron, and Shattered Glass Hot Rod is new art altogether. The shirts come in multiple colors, featuring white, gray, and black, and can be seen below!

We were contacted directly by Transformers collector, archivist, and vault of knowledge Jim Sorenson, with another auction that may interest fans out there who seek for Transformers: The Movie memorabilia and artistic collectibles - such as the original animation cells or scripts previously newsed on this site - and this time, we have something fairly juicy for the right household: a Reduction Master edition of the storyboards for the animated feature!

Transformers The Movie 1986 ORIGINAL STORYBOARDS Full set 1000 pages
This is an original set of storyboards for the 1986 Transformers Animated Movie. These were obtained from the Sunbow studio back in the late 1980’s and kept in a dry, smoke-free environment far from harmful UV. This is the “Reduction Master Storyboard”, meaning it is one of the earliest generations of storyboards made during the production the film. (Storyboards are generally illustrated quite large; to make them more portable, and thus more convenient to be referenced, they are REDUCED in size to fit four illustrations to a page. Hence, “Reduction Master”)
The storyboard script features deleted scenes and incredible production artwork. It also offers a fascinating glimpse at what’s NOT in the movie, as some scenes were boarded and then cut BEFORE the creation of the Reduction Masters, or updated by the artist to reflect changes in the flow of the film. The legacy of these changes are represented by a blank square labeled “Out”.
The storyboards are approximately 500 pages long, each page double sided. The storyboards were created to plan out the design of every shot in the film. (It does not include ALL the known deleted scenes as some had already been cut by this point) The set does have some minor wear & wear to the edges, it is over 30 years old! A rare opportunity to get an amazing Transformers holy grail item. The boards have been authenticated by noted Transformers expert Jim Sorenson.

Facebook page belonging to renowned manufacturer of licensed Transformers statues, Prime 1 Studio, we have an extensive gallery of prototype images of their Crosshairs statue (based on his appearances in Transformers: Age of Extinction and The Last Knight)! The statue measures approximately 31 inches in height, boasts LED light-up eyes and right gun barrel as well as a light-up base, and the 'exclusive' version features two sets of arms so he can hold his guns pointing up or down by his sides.
The 'regular' version will sell for about $1349 and will have a run of 700 pieces produced, while the 'exclusive' is expected to cost $1399 and will be limited to only 350. Check out a few selected images below,

Imaginarium Art has added more characters to be statues to their growing pool of Transformers statue involving Coronation Starscream with throne, Ultra Magnus pose statue, Soundwave pose statue with his minions: Rumble (or Frenzy for those on the other side of the coin), Laserbeak, and Ravage, and lastly the most recent Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod statue holding the Matrix of Leadership up as he ascends to being the next Prime after Optimus. While the other statues have been sold out, but the Rodimus Prime statue is still up for preorder at the moment. Be expected to shell out though! The pluses with these statues, aside from being super highly detailed are that they can and do feature LEDs and other fancy lighting features. Hot Rod seems to be packed with those features along with impressive detail too.
This time Imaginarium Art are increasing that number of Transformers statues with Autobot Jazz and Decepticon Skywarp. With these two added to our growing roster, we can hope for an even more characters to be made for their Transformers line. website, and the information they've released about Tokyo Comic Con 2017 - taking place this weekend, Friday to Sunday 1-3 December - we have some more news about their presence at the event, and the merchandise they'll be bringing along to promote some more Transformers: The Last Knight (or Last Knight King, as it's known in the localised release). The information about the event itself however, is as follows: December 1st, 14:45 to 15:15. Featuring a song contest, The Last Knight (King) promotion along with NBC Universal.
Before you think of exclusive toys, the merchandise is entirely non-toy based, and features the likes of keychains, apparel, clothing, battery packs, and the sorts, all of which can be found in the images mirrored below. Pricing is as follows, and includes Japanese Tax:

Facebook page of Imaginarium Art, famed for their impressively-detailed Transformers statues, we have word that their licensed Rodimus Prime statue is finally up for pre-order!
First revealed on the very last day of 2015, with
prototype images popping up in June this year and the statue itself
making an appearance at Shanghai Comic Con in October, listings for the figure are finally up (along with quite a few images of the item from all angles).
The statue features two different heads (to change expressions), two sets of arms (one set for the Matrix of Leadership and one for holding his rifle), and a Matrix and rifle to be held by those respective arms. According to Imaginarium's post it can currently be pre-ordered from site sponsor
BigBadToyStore for just under a hefty $1200 (or from
these three sites if you live in Malaysia, Singapore or the Philippines respectively), and is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2018.
