A surprise reveal of an actually transforming Flame Toys Rodimus figure teases of further releases and leads to speculation on the pricetag of these high end collectibles. Skybound's 8th issue of the Transformers ongoing comic brings us back to basics with character development between battles. A huge milestone in the "40 for 40" segment is hit with the release of the 2007 live action transformers film and the accompanying toyline bringing our favorite characters back to the big screen! Unlike last time, Bragging Rights actually brings this episode to a close.
Twincast / Podcast Episode #349 "Agent of Chaos"
Agent of Chaos - The Chaos Bringer takes control of Episode 349 of the Twincast / Podcast to force the crew to spin the discussion wheel of fate. The episode begins with another edition of the "40 for 40" segment, setting the target on the year 2006. The toy talk continues with an early edition of Bragging Rights robbing us of a concluding segment for the episode. Celebrating Christmas in May, a December listener question from OptimusBrat about a possible redo of commander class Rodimus Prime is considered. As promised in the last episode, in hand opinions of Legacy United wave 2 are now given including Commander Magmatron before wave 3 reveals are discussed. Robosen Megatron then has the crew less than thrilled, but the reveal of Movie Masterpiece Brawl lets us give our tanks. The chaotic episode finally comes to an end with Missing Link Bumblebee and Cliffjumper leaks prompting the crew to wonder which G1 toy could use this update the most.
Twincast / Podcast Episode #348 "Uno"
Uno - What a day for Transformers! The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast has let the dust settle and discusses a world where the trailer for Transformers One has debuted in episode 348. From space, back to Youtube, and all the way to Cybertron a surface dissection of the scenes of the trailer travels to several topics, including the appearance of a "Xerxes-like" Starscream. After more talk about the upcoming Masterpiece Ginrai, the death of Masterpiece as a brand is briefly mourned before its glorious rebirth into MPG is noted, with some interesting theories arising about the future of Masterpiece G as we know it. Issue 7 of the Skybound Transformers series has the cast pondering the fate of a few bots. A new listener question about an obscure line of toys is tackled and the 2005 edition of 40 for 40 reminds us of some great classic toys. Bragging rights is abridged but we keep it quick with some Korean KOs, the Reflector 3-pack, some 90s European market exclusives and the world's best Transformers Convention report from Dairycon 2024.
Twincast / Podcast Episode #347 "Swooped In"

Following on from the recent in hand pictures of what looks to be an Ehobby recolor of Kingdom Warpath into the Gobots character Treds, we have a look at the second of the rumored three pack, Small Foot, via Reddit user r/cillipod13231323. Unlike the previous few releases of Gobots characters (Road Ranger, Crasher, This figure actually contains some slight remolding in the form of a new face. Thanks to a pair of eBay auctions we have our first look at Treds, a rumored Selects figure. For those not familiar with the character of Treds, a brief history lesson. Gobots were a competitor of the Transformers line in the early 80s. Through mergers and acquisitions beyond that, Takara and Hasbro ended up with the rights to use the names of the Gobots characters, which is how we got the name Leader-1 as an Armada character, how Classics Mirage was redecoed into a very suspiciously - Read More

While a cinematic trailer was released for the Transformers Reactivate game, which seems to be a live service game ala Warframe, we haven't had more info on it since. Well, the question was asked to a Hasbro Australia representative at a Transformers 40th Anniversary Event, in Australia, and this is what they said: "it is highly anticipated and I know that fans are waiting for it to come out and be released. Hopefully in 2025, we will have more to show" So we should expect nothing for the - Read More

While we had a pretty good idea of what a dying Ratchet would look like, we now have a look at dying Brawn. We also see how they will be packaged. While this is still a Target exclusive, Target is no longer using the Buzzworthy packaging and just releasing figures within the packaging linked to their own lines. For those looking forward to Swoop, Prime vs Prime put up a review of the toy this past week and you can see it - Read More

It seems one should never bet against Optimus Prime. While the Transformers community had a good laugh at the $80 1/64 scale Hotwheels collector toy, it seems there were more than enough people out there willing to spend that amount on that small fully die cast Optimus Prime. The transforming G1 styled Hotwheels Optimus Prime sold out in 27 minutes on the Mattel Creations site. This is encouraging for Mattel as it means their effort and investment in the license was far from in vain. It - Read More

Drug smuggling is all about creativity and it looks like Transformers statues were someone's bright idea this time. 700 pounds of ketamine were confiscated by Thailand authorities. These drugs were found in what is said to be lifesize Transformer robot statues. It is unclear if those are the same statues shown in the image, since those are not lifesize, nor could they hold this much product. Here is the story from CN Asia: https://www.cna.com.tw/news/asoc/202404260196.aspx Here is Fox - Read More

From e-bay, we have in hand images of the upcoming deluxe Legacy Lockdown. He will be in Walmart's exclusive Star Raiders subline, which is part of Legacy. While he is much shorter than previous Lockdown toys, the fact that he is based on a Junkion mold means you can make him taller using other Junkion parts, which is somewhat thematic with the character, as designer Mark Maher had said. The images below compare this toy to the ROTF Lockdown toy, which is the reference for the new toy's - Read More

There is currently a rumour within the community based on insider information, detailing that a new animated Transformers show is currently in development. Very little info has been given but the rumour would entail that Earthspark would end after season 2. We do not know if this was always intentional or not, since it could be that the new show is more in line with the TF One film, with Earthspark existing as a show to providing content for the brand before a new era. Mattel creations is doing something unheard of, they are releasing a licensed Transformers toy that actually transforms. Hasbro had put a stop to that a long time ago, which is why McDonalds Happy Meal toys haven't transformed for over 15 years. But they are letting Mattel release their version of G1 Optimus Prime as a 1/64 scale fully die-cast transforming toy within their Hotwheels line. This special figure will cost fans $80 though.
