For those unaware, the Transformers One Toyline will also be split between Studio Series and its own main line and we can see how the toys differ between the lines since we have images of Optimus Prime from both lines. Interestingly enough, due to the deco, several fans are preferring the mainline deluxe version (called Prime Changers) than the Studio Series deluxe. The mainline deluxe is also $5 cheaper. You can see them below. We also see Alpha Trion who has a very similar deco to Botcon's - Read More

We got our first look at the upcoming Optimus Prime toy from Transformers One yesterday. While many fans liked the design, the toy’s hollow limbs, lack of paint, browning plastic, and simplicity (especially with those exposed arms in vehicle mode) made fans assume that this was not meant for the Studio Series line. Well turns out it is. This will be this year’s release of Transformers One Optimus Prime in a non gimmick line while all other Prime/Pax toys will be released in the Transformers - Read More

Hasbro and Paramount have been pretty good at keeping the bot designs for the upcoming Transformers One film a secret, revealing them to the world tomorrow. But we got at least this ONE leak before tomorrow’s trailer. It is a toy of Optimus Prime. We do know with certainty the line or size class (since once again, the movie toys are being released by in 2 different lines) but it does give us our first good look at the design the film is going for. Also, note that this is indeed Optimus - Read More

Blokees has gotten the Transformers license to make small chibi style models of Transformers designs. Their previous efforts have all been G1 based, and you can see the products in the links below. The G1 products came in blind boxes and that's the only way their website sells them so places like Ali Express have sellers who sell them per individual character. Their newer models are more expensive but come with bases, effects, and LEDs. They are based on the Rise of the Beasts - Read More

Really good news for the Transformers brand. While the upcoming animated film is trying different things with the Transformers lore (like the characters discovering Transformation), it is testing very well, better than even TMNT Mutant Mayhem, as it is said to be the best tested animated feature in the studio's history. Word is that Paramount’s upcoming summer animated tentpole Transformers One is the best tested feature toon movie in the studio’s history and will surprise many. In - Read More

While tallying up the various responses to the Transformers One footage shown at Cinemacon, we got a sense of the story, and it appears that the villains of the movie will be the Quintessons. This is pre war and more about the origin of Transformers, so it makes sense that the Quintessons are an element. Both Orion (Optimus) and D 16 (Megatron) will team up to take them on, while also searching for the Matrix of Leadership (this film's MacGuffin) Indiana Jones style. We also know from a - Read More

Paramount had their panel at Cinemacon today and it looks included 2 Transformers projects. It was said, as confirmed on Cinemacon’s Twitter, that the Transformers GI Joe movie is in development. Paramount also showed the trailer for Transformers One, which is confirmed to come out in September 13. Below are descriptions of what was shown from - Read More

The 40th anniversary of Transformers is bringing us a lot of big and new things, but one of the biggest staples of the franchise is coming to an end.
