Roadburn's Bio
Tucked away in the lower hemisphere of Cybertron was a sector known as Radix. Radix was not populated, aside from empties and the few who chose to live isolated under the great movements of society, but instead consisted of many hundreds of highways and byways connecting the major areas. Inside this territory, lived a group of bots charged with maintaining the flow of traffic. Tehy in turn employed repair crews and were charged with rerouting the roads around sections under repair.
All that was nice and all, but each one of those governors had a special passion for racing. They;d hone their skills in traffic between Bots and haulers alike, and on certain occasions, they would layout out specialized racing circuits and all would travel around to different zones for a new challenge. Each time, the roads being organized into a different pattern that allowed the outside world to function around them.
And then the Great Wars happened. Radix became a supplyline for Autobotd moving to contain Kaon. The Radix zone was always considered safe, because no Decepticon team could predict what ways the highways were oriented, and as soon as a section was blown, the Governors laid out a new plan in minutes. Worse, Decepticon parties could find themselves trapped in eternal Interstate loops and never get where they were tr=ying to go, until finally, the Cons just cut access into the Radix Interchange. Even doing so, Radix became a mythical place for refugees attempting to flee the War, and those who knew its roads best, indeed those who controlled the roads, were the best guides to safety.
Roadburn had been charged with the entire area, and the captial hub. The positionw asn't earned through competitions, those were simply for sport. But even still, there were few races he didn't win. After being a pain in the aftplates for hitting the supply lines, and then becvoming a beacon of hope for Neutralists leeing from the Decepticon war machine, Starscream issued the orders that the Seekers bomb the Primus-loving slag out of the entire Radix interchanges. It was then that Flashwave collected Roadburn and his comrades to work alongside him.
Roadburn's always been a fair mech. Competition was a way to toughen him, nothing more. It was his idea to take on the tasdk of an "Underground Highway", showing a true compassion for those around him. Ot was his way to figth the warm without truly fighting. Which is not to say he wont fight. His speed and weapon strike battleplans have all the pizaz of the air-strikes that levelled his home. It's somesthing that many Decepticons fail to clue into until it's too late, if they ever catch on. z
many years of Racing has given Roadburn a very flexible, forward thinking mind. He's a great streegist for going forward. In vehicle mode, he can reach speeds of 450mph in flat land. Racing has also trained him in a number of offensive and defensefive driving attacks. He not a fully physical or weapons fighter one way or the othe, just flexible enough to recogize where the strengths of one end and the other begins. the placemtne of his airfoil in vehicle mode, and the use of booster rockets gives him an almost flight-like ability. While he lacks the momentum to actually take off on his own, he can spend a long period of time gliding and weaving down like a plane. he's armed wth two missile toubes in vehicle mode, as well as nose and tail machine guns, several deployable driving hazards, a grappling hook, and several smaller rocket pods. Roadburn also developped a method of channeling momentum, allowing him to stop instantaneously and direct the travling energies away from himself and passengers.
Despite being able to mimic a plane, or at least a combat glider, Roadburn isn't actually. And while his travellign in the air looks straight, he can only acieve 98% lift. And there's only so much the rocket boosters will help him. The momentum displacement system of his stillr equires that engergy to go somewhere, and not every stop has an enemy in front of him to hit, or several around him, resulting in the occasional injury to those around him, or damge to nearby objects. Also, while Roadburn is great at a plan moving forward, even the escape route that is 20 moves away still, those situations that fall behind him tend to not carner the attention they sometimes should.
