Rundown's Bio
Before the war, Rundown spent his time as an astrobiologist, or one who studies life both native to your planet, as well as one from alien worlds. Since life on Cybertron is basically non-existant aside from his own race, he spent a large portion of his time focuisn on other worlds. Nevertheless, he was fully aware of new discoveries on Cybertron, as he tried to piece together galactic evolutional patterns. When Shockwave made noises about Prject Regnesis, Rundown made strong attempts at stopping him. As, did others. Though the Astrobiologist was not a warrior, he knew people who were, and claimed dropping evidence that the Decepticon was on his way offworld, and doing it alone. Unfortuneately, he and the other scientists knew the same thing Shockwave did, and collateral damage or not, Cybertron was going to die, and no one would believe them.
Rundown's research led him to many beasts from many worlds. He was fascinated by their differences from the vehicular world he lived in, and adopted several as altmodes to understand how they lived. One thing he knew for sure from that, was that they knew how to fight to survive. This was what he needed on Cybertron. As the Great War geared up again, he decided to toss out his pacifist science for one that involved standing up for his own life.
Rundown actually found Flashwave. It's a rare claim from either faction, but when he heard tell that a crazed old bot making more accurate claims about old ruins than should be possibleand wild creative ones about having lived when they were something got the biologist curious. He went looking, and Flashwave turned himself up on the doorstep newly armed warrior. At first, Rundown was less than fond of fighting for someone who based offworld, but Flashwave seemed to be more than willing to allow him to do as he wished--to fight for his property-- and work from almost anywhere. Also, the mech had a decent special library going by this time.
Rundown designed his own alt mode from pieces of speciaes in attempts to build a truly flexible fighter. His tail is extendable and fully flexible. Blades are concealed within the unit, allowing him to choke opponents and then cut their neck through from all sides. several missle batteries are available along his long, arched back. He has several horns that work as solar recptors, and a few that are in fact disguised missles. He slected the bipedal Trex style as a base, but modified the head to one of a blockier creatrue, better for head-on ramming. A spiked crown around the back makes for a good body defence, and several drill-horns on his head only help the ramming part. he also lengthend his forearms and equipped them with a clawed hand, so the mech can actually function s well in beast mode as he can in robot mode, complete with typing and weilding weapons.
Truthfully, his beast mode is nearly indestructible. He's got the agility of a biped, and the bulk of a true monster. The guy is also fast, but he lacks the speed that four wheels can give you. Rocky terrain he wins, but for flat open areas, the guy is quickly left behind. He refuses to go for a more vehicular mode, even modify to a third alt. Rundown also allows himself to be distracted by defending native life. Slowly, he's learning that minimal damage is sometimes better than no damage. His not changing his alt makes him an obvious target.
