From Amazon.ca, Canadians are already receiving their Golden Disk Jackpot. I got mine as well so I can provide you with this pictures review.
The packaging come in a brown shipping box. The box itself is in full colors, but is very thin. The tray and tie-wraps binding the toys are all cardboard. Zero plastics. All that paper and cardboard except for the instructions will find themselves in the recycling bin.
As stated in the previous news report, This version of Jackpot have a new headsculpt but factory gremlins has missaligned the head parts so it appear a bit wonky. On mine, only the top of the head is affected. Not a big deal in my opinion. I'll just say he got bonked.
Jackpot is a repaint/retool of the Studio Series 86 Jazz. The colors are so different and with that still nice new head makes Jackpot worth owning even if you already have SS86 Jazz.
Jackpot come with the same gun as SS86 Jazz, but Hasbro didn't forgot his partner, Sights. Sights is a straight repaint of Siege Pteraxadon. Here, it works perfectly.
Let's not forget comparing the newer Kingdom Jackpot to the original Action Masters from G1!
Contrary to the Action Masters original, this is the very first time Jackpot can transform! And redecoing SS86 Jazz was the right call because that's the perfect altmode. Matching yellows is always very hard to do and here, it's no exception. However, the only yellow that dont match are on the front of the car and it's just a tiny part. Depending on how you see things, this may look even better than just a plain uniform line. Transformation was also easy like the SS86 original and at no times I was afraid that something may break due to all that clear plastics. The car is a beauty.
Overall, Golden Disk Jackpot is pretty awesome and it's amazing that it's no more expensive than a regular deluxe despite coming with a bonus Battlemaster. I highly recommend that you get yours while it's still in stock.
