I really hope they do a PC release of this one as well. Have WFC on PC and love the game and would love to get to put my new vid card to good use for this game. Plus I really like the control setup for WFC when using the mouse/keyboard. Of course since I don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360 that they may also be a huge factor why I am hoping there is a PC release.

I'm okay ret-coning Grimlock into the game and history. Gives his character more depth. But having a dino on Cybertron is awkward. I hope they use him as a vehicle with a bonus DLC of dino mode = makes sense.

The dark energon and the body issues are rather strange. Breakdown being the most obvious

The Only Megatron that was a T-REX was the Beast Wars One, and then he was purple. This is a silver and Gold T-Rex....It's Grimlock. And I agree that I'm not sure about Optimus' "Horns" they go out away from his head to much. Reminds me of Energon Megs.

Sooooooo excited about this news! I loved the original and had so much fun with the multiplayer. Can't wait to hear more. I also hope that maybe if this one does better we can see more WFC toys, like Sideswipe and Starscream. Ah, fantastic news indeed

They make Grimlock any kind of exclusive, and I'm gonna kick some butt.

Sabrblade wrote:Just after Exiles is released do we hear of this. Now that's perfect timing.
This game better have as similar (if not more similar) a story to Exiles as Exodus and WFC had.
Looks like Optimus (and maybe Bumblebee) gets a new body.
And is that supposed to be Grimlock? Looks like he got a new body too (compared
his old body). I wonder if he'll keep this same exact look for when/if he shows up in Transformers: Prime (since we were told that the Dinbots were coming in season 2).
Though, if this game includes Cybertron-based battels, hopefully they're only at the beginning of the game and then shift to the other colony worlds, since the 'Bots and 'Cons left Cybertron at the end of the previous story.
Exodus was a contradicting, poorly edited mess. TF:Prime is disappointing as well.
So keep WFC2 as far away as possible from both please!

This is an awesome announcement...However..
I am afraid of what Hasbro may push on this. I hated the whole stupid and nonsensical marketing forced idea that WFC was in the TF: Prime continuity. The game did not reflect any of that at all and in many way it contradicted it.
It was clear that the idea of 'tying up' WFC with TF Prime was something that Hasbro did well after the game was produced so it was too late to retroactively push that concept into the game...Unfortunately that's not the case here as that idea now predates the sequel.
I am very much afraid that this game will try to make 'WFC' into TF Prime and remove itself from the 'G1' universe that the first game is clearly based upon. If this game becomes 'TF Prime' it will kill much of my enjoyment of it and chances are I may not get it as if you remove the 'G1' from the first game, it looses a lot of appeal as the graphics and gameplay were ok but nothing that really stood out.

OP has a new look. Being a WFC Cybertronian mode fan myself [with the sole exception of the seekers' fat alt modes], I'm looking forward to some nice figs, and hopefully, a dedicated line for game characters.
As for Grimlock's pre-earth existence, I'll keep an open mind and see how the game explains it.
Either way, it better last more than the paltry 12 and 5 hour playthrough of WFC and DOTM.
