Arcee, Dreadwing, '08 BB Out in US

Postby KSC » Thu Jun 28, 2007 4:46 pm

Probably not a big deal as it wasn't in a retail chain, but there is a small mom & pop gift shop about a mile from my house that got a case of the new wave in today. Someone snagged the BB before I could there, and Dreadwing IMO looks rediculous, but I picked up Arcee just for the hell of it

Image

Anyway, they should probably bigger stores any day now.

edit: wow that pic sucks. You cant really see the receipt, you'll just have to take my word for it I guess

Wow, Arcee has a mug only a mother can love. She gets the "Ugly Femformer" award. Her alt mode looks nice though.

Weapon: Mace
I've had'em for the past couple weeks. Dreadwing I ain't too impressed with, but Arcee and BB '08 are rather nice. Ugly kisser or no, I think Deluxe Arcee's a nice change from the same old Energon Arcee repaint schtick.
I got yer new Captain America right here!

Nice find! Front paged and credited!

I know alot of people don't like it, but I still think the "movie" design for Arcee is cool, and would have looked great in CG.

Which is the bigger one? The old Energon Arcee, or this new one? IIRC, the larger ones are more detailed and seem to have a nicer transformation. More pics? :)

The new one's bigger, by an inch or so.

That thing sticking out of the side of Arcee's head reminds me of Gary Oldman from The Fifth Element.

This wave also includes Dropkick and Longarm, yes?

Cool.

I agree, I like this Arcee quite a bit. She has a certain Flock of Seagulls vibe going on. I know there's a lot of youngins here, so let me demonstrate...

HAHA! I forgot about that. This place is really small. The entire action figure isle is about 8 foot. They had a total of five deluxe on the peg. Arcee, DW, Scorp, Wreckage, and one more that I didnt see. The place closes at 6pm and it was 5:59 so I was rushing

That is good...cuz I MUST have '08 BB. '74 BB sucks ass. Arcee I can live without, and the less said about Dreadwing the better, but '08 BB shall be MINE.

I wonder how long these'll take to come down to NZ?

I'll deffinately get '08 Bumblebee and Dreadwing... yeah I know Dreadwing has a dodgey bot mode but he is just a drone minion and his alt mode is one sweet looking MiG-29.

As for Arcee... eww, yuck - do not want.

This is good news, I'm not a fan of Arcee, but its good to know more figs are coming.

Alot of people are against the movie designs, and I can see why, but from the ones I own, I like the majority of them, and look forward to whats on the horizon, for I feel this new series will put a pause on a 12+yr TF shopping spree.

Let the good bots flow.

Maybe she's a little hard in the face, but technically one of the best TF's I've owned. Bike mode is almost perfect, all the Bot appendages are tucked away quite nicely. Exhaust becomes the missle, gas tank becomes the bow, and the head is completely hidden within the "engine". It's amazing Hasbro was able to this with such a streamlined design as a Bike.

Poses nice too. I think Frenzy has a crush

Barricade: "Say 'Hello' to my little friend, Frenzy."
Arcee: "Okay, then say 'Hello' to my big boots!"

Okay, as a figure, she looks nice, maybe even a little sexy. Can ya give us a head shot? Man, just saying that makes me want to take a cold shower or something... :?

Weapon: Double-Barreled Assault Missile Launcher
Arcee in robot mode looks good except for the face and arms. The arms just look a little too thin and the face is awful.

A small, independent store.
