Via on-the-ball Transformers fansite Transformers@The Moon, we have another update on the exciting world of trademarks registered from Hasbro with the USPTO: Prime.

Just Prime. No other information on what is might relate to, other than the category 'Toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms'. Is this to be another subline that we'll see soon? Something else entirely? Sound off in the Energon Pub!

Might it be they plan to release a platinum set that contains some Transformers Prime toys so they thought they better refresh the mark ?

Or could it be related to the "Prime Wars" concept

It's bad enough we have RID 2001 RID 2006 RID 2012 & RID 2015+

If they decide to reuse Transformers : Prime as the name for the replacement for the Titans Returns line I will sigh - as they would be a monumentally stupid thing to do - especially as Prime is a cartoon they can re-sell for many many years to come.

Heck that it's as neglected as it is pretty disgraceful - we are still missing a Black (non-spikey) Deluxe Prime Bumblebee of any kind and a Blue Smokescreen too.. that there has been no effort to release those somewhere or other is pretty disappointing to me.

I guess I just put that down to the gloss of the new. But just because Transformers : Prime is no longer fashionable I have no reason to abandon it - any more than I would AEC.

I still lament the lack of things like an non-model kit Energon Nemesis Prime (Grand Scourge) toy.. especially when the Unite warriors / Combiner Wars one was most of the way there anyway.

That was why I liked the Universe Lines as it allowed the random missing things to reappear... I'd rather like a Voyager Dinobot too for that matter.
