Can Batman stand (and survive) against Kratos, slayer of Gods and general angry badass?
Kratos is the main character in God of War.
Batman is well should you not know Batman GTFO :P

Kratos is a Spartan (meaning, trained to be a soldier form birth) who kills the most powerful monsters in Greek Mythology as well as the Gods themselves, and sees death only as a minor inconvenience. (It takes him maybe an HOUR to get out of Hades each time he's sent there)

Batman is a rich kid who began training when he was a teenager, refuses to kill, and was killed by Darkseid even after dropping his own no-kill and no-gun rules.

Batman doesn't stand a chance in hell.

OK this thread is a little one-sided, I just wanted to see Batman in a fight where he could never possibly win, not even with the "prep-time" argument.

So, ummm.... Who is this Kratos guy and what are his abilities? If he is not some extra intelligent tactician genius, I vote for Batman.

He's a former Spartan commander so yes, he is a tactical genius. He's also personally killed most, if not all, of the the Greek Pantheon. He's also died three times, none of which stopped or discouraged him.

Well, that didn't say much about his abilities... But according to this page, he has superhuman strength, durability, and some tactician/warrior wisdom... Reminds me of Ra'as Al Ghul. And it looks like he also has access to some powerful magic.

The only case I can imagine Batman win this fight if he borrows Supermans phantom-zone projector and trap Kratos there.

Ra's didn't spend three games killing Gods because they looked at him wrong.

I keep saying death is only a minor inconvenience for Kratos, the Phantom Zone can't be much of a problem.

Kratos knows how to get back from Hades, but there is no escape from within the Phantom Zone.

Bullsh*t, Phantomzone inmates escape all the time to wreak havoc and smash things. And knowing Kratos he'd just brake it from the inside by smashing it or by showing it just how pissed off he is. Hades is supposed to be impossible to escape from even if you're alive when you enter it, but 3 out of the 5 times Kratos has been there he was dead and thus supposed to be trapped there for ever, but he's just to stubborn.
He just won't except being dead s long as there is something he wants to kill for revenge.

Doesn't change the fact that Batman still lost to Darkseid.

Thats a matter of opinion not fact.

From my preservative Batman took that fight.

Darkseids plans were stopped ,due to no small parts Batman's sacrifice. And Batman never expected to come out of that one alive. So the fact that he stopped Darkseid counts as a win for him.

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that he lost the fight. He did not beat Darkseid in combat, therefore, Batman lost the fight.

He didnt lose that fight.

He entered that battle fully expecting to die.....but planned to stop Darkseid first.....and he did.

Not only that but Batman manged to fire and hit Darkseid before the OS got him.

That a win for Batman.

That may be so, but in the end, though, Kratos is still a professional God Killer who took down half the Greek Pantheon because he was promised rewards, and then killed the other half when they didn't follow through. And he found the time to take down the Titans during all this as well.

Well as you can see I didnt speak on the Bats vrs Kratos debate....largely because admittedly I know nothing about Kratos and I dont like to talk about characters I dont know anything about.

Should Kratos loose that, he'd get mad and kill the other contestants, no matter what the cost or how long it would take. :P

The only thing Batman will have is enough time plan to his funeral. Kratos' strength is somewhere in the tons range. He endures being smacked around by beings many times his size. He routinely kills gods and giants. Nothing batman is going do will stop Kratos from mauling him as he has no convenient plot device or weakness to exploit most DC beings seem to have. He's just too strong , too fast, too brutal.(warning: these show lots of blood and gore.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm88Blmlwjk

That's a very small small of what kratos does. I couldn't find any good clips of his brutality. Oh spoke too soon here's some

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh9CCX-i5x0&feature=fvw

I wanted show decent ones that weren't huge spoilers for the game.
