With GM vehicles being featured in the Transformers Movie it was only a matter of time before commercials featuring the Transformers to sell cars would surface. Chevy has started a new sale and ad campaigne titled "Transform Your Ride." So far there are two commercials. One features Optimus Prime and the other features Blackout.

When Prime fell on the second car I thought he said 'my back!' at first. Couldn't blame him.

pretty funny. these things are usually lame but they work ok. i too thought prime said "my back!" which wouldve been better . still the black out one was great because th guy was obviously trying to be "cool" in front of the woman and screamed like a little girl

my bad is funnier.. my back would be lame cause he's a robot.. him saying my bad is the robot trying to be "human"

I liked the Prime one...I saw this on TV lastnight I think while either "Raw" or "Hell's kitchen" was on. I could clearly hear him say "my bad". lol.

Those are awesome!! But i havent hardly seen any Transformers commercials at all. I see them occasionally on cartoon network but that seems to be all. The Blackout commercial was hilarious, and the Prime one was too, but the frist one was much funnier. These commercials are going to convince alot of kids that their parents should be driving Chevys. Then they'll have to explain that the cars don't really transform.........oh, maybe thats a flash back from MY child hood.

I liked these. They're pretty funny. I liked the bits where the guys said "Oh no! My car!".

Keep an open mind, people. Reserve judgment for when you've actually SEEN the movie.

Hot_Rod wrote:This is proof that the people responsible for the movie sold out to GM instead making a good quality TRANSFORMERS movie. No, instead, they just made a big 2 hour car AND toy commercial without any real regard for the brand, the movie product, and the tradition that got it to this point. Sell outs. I wouldn't be suprised if Bryan Goldner sold his soul.

This is why the movie will be forgetten in a couple years. It's just made as a flavor of the month kind of thing. They never bothered to capture the magic of Transormers. They just wanted to cash in on a quick immediate profit. But that profit will die down and maybe even hurt more in the long run because after the innitial impact, once you've abandoned your loyal fanbase/comsumer, who is to say there will be any one else to pick up the slack and replace all those that once supported you and no longer do for lack of their interested product?

On a more positive note, I must say that I rather enjoyed Peter Cullen sounding like his classic Optimus Prime self, saying, "My Bad."
uh, have you actually SEEN the movie yet?because it`s all BUT a marketing copout...trust me, this movie is NOT runofthemill stuff.
