I was hoping to see the Transformers CGI renders somewhere in there as bonus features. It would be a lot more interesting than more crap about the human actors.

Great news, but I was hoping for deleted scenes. Wouldn't surprise me if they waited to include them in a "Transformers DVD 1.5" re-release. Hollywood has a track record of taking advantage of eager fans willing to buy every release (ex: X-Men, Lord of the Rings, etc.)

This will probably be a next spring type thing if it happens, similar to the delay for the LOTRs DVDs. That way, they can sell two versions.

Just to let all of you know, Suncoast told me that the regular DVD version will come in a special edition tin case with either the Autobot or Decepticon emblem (You can pick)

yup yup.... thats why im debating whether i should pass on this one.... cause i have a gut feeling that theyre gonna release another version of the dvd with more stuff in like a collectors set with some exclusive toy or mini statue or somethin like that.

Hell, I'll probably just get it on Netflix and not return it until the extended version is released.

Oh man, with a release date THAT early, I can only assume they're trying to get a Special Edition DVD version near Christmas time! Oh man!

So why no commentary from the voice cast? I mean yes great to see how Josh D and Tyress got all buff, but um...where are the interivews with Cullen or Addler or even Weaving about his take on Megatron. Etc? Or did they feel that no one would care about the bots execept for the special effects?

And I think I'm going to hold out till the special edition of extended footage. Even if this is coming out on my birthday. *crosses arms*

I'm a bit disapointed there won't be any clips from the Viral Marketing campain (*ie- "Sectorseven.org")... But, outside of that, I can't wait for this DVD set!

No DTS track? That's lame. I'm guessing the extended cut version in the future won't have it either. Maybe it's time I jump in and buy a cheap hd dvd player. maybe the Xbox 360 hd dvd drive. But i'll hold off if they include THX processing on the DVD release like they did for the Pirates movies.
