I can't wait until I have an address again so I can order it!

(Oh the joys of moving. . . .)

I went and saw the movie again today so I could sit in the dark with my eyes closed and listen to the music.

This is news I've been waiting for.

Yay!

I'll get this for sure, mainly because the fan's influence was so essential to getting this thing released. It's a very good score, and a great souvenir for the movie, since music helps you remember certain events, like the summer of the first live-action Transformers movie!

Just hit 5300 signatures at the online petition. And that's probably still a small fraction of the people who would gladly pay good money to have this CD.

I'm going to buy at least 3 or 4 copies: for myself and as gifts for others and probably one that I'll keep shrink-wrapped as a trophy from this crusade

Yeah, this is indeed good news. They knew they could make money with the score music; MUCH better than the Soundtrack, that's for sure.

The Transformers Score was ranked at #1618 in sales on Amazon a few hours ago.

It is now at #621.

Not bad for an album that's only been listed for about 16 hours now

And that's still a few months from being released!

I have a feeling Paramount won't regret their decision to release this. It'll probably sell better than they expect.

Wow. Someone in the marketing dept at WB should be fired because they could've gotten a heck of a lot more sales if they released it with the movie.

i'm not trying to rain on any parade here but...i dont think any petition or fan demand made this happen....i often buy score albums and i can't count how often the score would come out months after the movie, this seems pretty normal.

either way its cool its finally coming and i'll be brave and predict that the cover will be that poster with prime, bumblebee and megatron's heads over the city and stuff....if im wrong, i never said this lol

Being the guy who started the petition, my gut feeling from the beginning was that they did always plan on releasing the album. So in that sense the petition is a moot thing. But if the powers-that-be know how much people seriously want this CD (and the fast-rising Amazon sales rank is a great indicator of that) then they might be apt to lavish all the attention and care that this soundtrack deserves, knowing how much we're looking forward to it.

Although I gotta tell ya, I was sort of looking forward to buying an extra copy, having it framed and hung up on the wall with the words "Sometimes online petitions DO work!"
