Not that they'll look antything like the G1 designs but I think I would vote for Devastator. It just bugs me that they show the G1 designs since they deviated so much from the originals in the first flick. It's like all of a sudden they recognize or understand the importance of the characters...a little late don't you think?

I voted Jetfire so he could interact with Screamer, maybe develope the character a little more for the movies-only audience. Ravage would be a cool addition, so long as he speaks with a Russian accent a la Beast Wars. Casettikitty forever!

I actually voted for Hot Rod because I thought he was cool and would like to see a modern day version of him. If you feel that your childhood was ruined maybe you should consider looking at something other then a fictional character as the reason why.

Oh and just a friendly heads up, typing everything in caps is the same as yelling and is not smiled upon by the mods.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and welcome to Seibertron

ummm... no. It'd still be Devastator. That was a script mishap. It can be corrected before it's brought out to DVD. As for Megatron, why wouldn't he be in the film? I believe he'll return but probably be the same as before, towards the end, if not the middle, pending the story.

Actually it isn't a script mishap. Michael Bay addressed the issue in a press conference the day after the world premiere in Sydney. He changed the name back to Devastator as he felt it was more menacing then Brawl. Hasbro just happened to release the toy before Michael Bay made this adjustment.

I had to vote Jetfire. I can see tons of storyline with this guy. Ravage was my second, can you imagine how scary he could be?

I very much wanted to select Mirage, but I had to agree with Seibertron and the others who voted for Shockwave. Sorry, Mirage. :(

Thanks for the heads up, thus devastor is out of the question (name wise) for the constructicons then I'm pretty sure they will come up with a good name for the combined form if they use them. I just don't see them reusing that name again for a different character, that would be redundent. I could just see it: "Devastator (starscream saying this), I thought he was killed (another decepticon saying this), yes, but I'm taking about the Devastator over there (starscream again). That would be stupid. Soundwave, shockwave, megatron, and the constructicons (with the combined form being renamed just not as buildking (RID series name) the buildking name sucked) are the ones I would like to see. Thanks again for the heads up.

Devastator? He had his chance in the movie already...he died :p

I voted for Shockwave (as a Cybertronian field cannon wouldn't be bad)

I don't see how they could do Soundwave justice. Mirage, Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus would be do-able without butchering their established character.

For sure no animals!!! I let Scorponok go already since he was nothing more than a drone.

It's hard to think it, but maybe the sequel (if it ever gets made) will actually be worse?

Amen to that brother. We don't need another TINO: Transformers In Name Only. I would simply hate to see another good Transformer completely mutilated by these movie making microchip morons.

No, I did, sadly. It killed brain cells.

Transformer In Name Only, huh? To say that about Godzilla is stupid enough. But Transformer is a literal term. A robot that turns into something else is a transformer. Be it a Gobot, Robotech, or a Variable Mobile Suit.

People really need to stop drinking so much Haterade. It makes me ashamed to be a Transformers fan.

Maybe you misread what I had typed. TINO: Transformers In Name Only perhaps you missed the "s" on the end, I know it's very hard to see. "Transformer" is different from "Transformers". "Transformer" is something that alters or can be altered in some form. Be it electricty or Wing Gundam. "Transformers" is what I've come to love and appreciate. A story of robots cut off from their home, not relocated permanently. They were short on energy not looking for a god-like object when they left home. They had ships when they left because like all other things that live on planets escaping the atmosphere on one's own without additional reinforcement is impractical. When they got to Earth they soon had a Spacebridge and were reconnected with home, home didn't die and become uninhabitable because a god-like object was used to kill Megatron. Are you getting me here? Or do I need to keep going?

I hope you can see my point now. This movie did not live up to expectations, we were lied to by Don Murphy about character designs, they didn't listen to us at all, and they churned out a typical Michael Bay film. We don't need another one to mutilate more characters and kill off ones pointlessly (I.E. Jazz). They could have killed every last Transformer in the movie and no one would have been very upset because we don't know them. What happened when the original Optimus Prime and the others died in the '86 movie? Fans went nuts because they loved him and the other Transformers. Do you know why? Because they took half a second and developed them some. From the first time I saw the first three episodes of the series I knew who was my favorites and who weren't because they got development. I hope you understand now why I say what I say.

And for the record, I love the old Godzilla films, but I also liked the American version too.

Just so you know, I didn't read 99% of that. I enjoy my brain cells.

And G1 sucked. I only really watched it so I could laugh at it. It was just so stupid. I couldn't even watch the '86 movie past age 15 because it seemed so retarded.

Of course, the original, which up until now, held face for 20 years. Oh yea, so totally couldn't have been worth seeing. Same as that one show was it called? Oh yea Gilligan's Island, yea they so totally stopped that show at 1980 because it sucked too, right?

That's pointless, quit arguing, Dragonstrike. Shadowman obviously doesn't want to bicker with you.

As for the poll, I voted Soundwave. He's the most obvious choice.

1980? Gilligan was cancelled in 1967 because the network president wanted to keep Gunsmoke on the air and hated Gilligan's Island.

It's not that he doesn't want to listen it's that he's one of those people who won't listen to anyone but themselves and no one else's opinion can possibly matter or even be right.

Dude, why should I listen to anyone else's opinion? My own is the only one that matters to me. That's why I have it.

EDIT: Oddly enough, you're not listening to MY opnion that G1 sucked. And that you're is the only one that matters, and is the only one that could POSSIBLY be right.

That was sarcasm...

I know they canceled it in 1967, I was talking about the repeats which are still shown today because the show was so popular. I was attempting to show the stupidity of his statements
