Quick, someone cue the James Bond music! It looks like Transformers is going a little 007 on us. We have seen a lot of toys based on the upcoming Transformers Movie, but we have yet to see a spy set. Well, thanks to ebay seller pauln20 that is no longer the case. Pauln20 has put up an auction of protoype in mock up packaging for a Transformers Movie spy set called Undercover Carabiner Set. You can view the auction by clicking here.

Cool concept but the alt modes are odd. They don't look like carabiners that I know of.

These remind me of things like the Beast Wars Eggbots, or Beast Machine Deployers. It's kinda cool, but do they actualy do anything :-? :???: :-?

A LED light or piece of cardboard with a hole in for an X-Ray feature would be nice.

And it comes with a Grid Puzzle! Anyways, I'd be interested if they worked good. I once had a listening device, but it was a kid one and crackled horribly in my ears.

For some odd reason, I'm having images of Mel Brooks dressed up as a Yoda-type figure...

Am I the only one that misread that as "Underwear Combiners?"

But it has a picture of Optimus Prime on it! You MUST buy it!

Damn, got my hopes up. When I first read the title, I thought it said "Combiner".

Meh... I was hoping for more object-formers and not role play devices. Oh well.

And for some reason I am both amused and annoyed at posters who say they got the first post comment, and then end up second or third...

I guess it's good to have goals. Keep 'em personal though, and don't share with the rest of us...please...

"Carbiners" in this case are those clip thingies that are the brassknuckles of keyrings.

Not rifles, sorry.

Keychains... that turn into... ... eh, well not robots, but... ...

...ok, these do kind of blow lol.

They have an ok look to them, but are way too vague as to what they are once transformed.

Yep, all we got for Cybertron was freaking spin pops, and for this gawd aweful movie we get a ton of crapity crap. Another bright idea from the people who brought you Tiny Tins.

When I think of a carabiner I think of this:

I am guessing that these will marketed in a way that shows a child clipping them onto a belt and then taking them off to transform them into a spy device. Wasn't there another a toy company that had transforming spyware 10 years ago?
