eBay seller etoyshunter was kind enough to share a gallery with us. The images are of the upcoming Optimus Prime toy from the Transformers Movie line. This version of Optimus Prime is the Voyager Class size. The first few pictures include the "Cowboy" driver which is reminiscent of Optimus Prime's fan-favorite voice actor, Peter Cullen. Alright I'll admit it, he does look cool albeit a little top heavy but the the entire line seems to be. :?

I just hope they actually read feedback and see that the paint apps on the head need to be tweaked a bit and it would be a really great figure.

Too much grey, needs more crome finishes to jazz it up a bit. I think I'll be picking this one up eventually.

I do also agree that he looks much better then Megs though er Craptron.

The little flip-down Peter Cullen is an amusing, totally unnecessary (as in they didn't have to do it) and superb little gimmick.

Osiricon- at present count, there's the Protoform, Leader, Voyager, Deluxe (which we haven't seen yet but there are computer listings for it), LOC, Fast Action Battler, Cyber Stomper, Unleashed and probably others that I've forgotten or we haven't seen yet. Ooh- also Optimash and Softimus Primes. So... eleven so far. Better than the 87 different versions of Spider-man currently invading the Toys'r'us I work at.

Other then the look of the head, I think the over all look of it is very pleasing. I really like the weapons included as well. Of course, the "tip of the hat" to Cullen is fine and dandy too. Pun intended of course.

Awesome. It will put several older Primes to shame.

That figure looks cool. Ive been saying it the movie toys are going to be the best thing about the movie. Even if you like primes look just display the truck mode. The alt mode is the best part.

The proportions (minus the backpack) seem better that the Leader Class. With some touched up paint, this guy could be really awesome.

Well, he does look better than the Leader Class figure, but the face, and the fact that they didn't vacuum metalize the chrome parts, put me off this figure.

The huge backpack is nothing new.

Would have been nice if they would have molded the trailer hitch to be functional for all the kitbashers.

Being such a long-standing fan, I've been a skeptic about the movie and the drastic changes to the characters & toy line... but this is truly a nice looking toy. Might cave in to get this one.

Yessum, it is. I think it's a cute name that invites parents to buy something that would usually be associated with mild violence.

Energon Prime is rolling over in his grave. :P

Counterpunch wrote:Hate the backpack...
I agree, make him look like Energon Barricade. Mind you, I do enjoy E-Barricade.

If you guys hate the backpack, then you must hate G2 Laser Prime because he has a similar backpack.

The front of the cab is basically unused. So theoretically, this design could be adapted to Prime's traditional cabover semi. Kitbashes, anyone?

(spent the last 15 minutes drooling profusely)

The thing i look forward to in each new line isn't necessarily the rehashed characters and cheesy cartoons, it's the excitement of seeing new designs and watching some of the fans crap themselves in disgust. I guess I'm not a true Geewunner because I didn't want Welker for Megs, really didn't mind the movie redesigns, and am really excited about the movie. Needless to say, this mold (and subsequent pants-crapping by some of the fandom) has me very happy. I love the fact that we're seeing the most original and creative designs in the line in years. I definitely give this mold an A...looks fantastic, good poseablity, and it caused significant pants-crapping. The flip-down Peter Cullen is a major perk...now here's an interesting question. Will PC actually be playing the holographic driver of Prime in the movie? This makes me wonder...
