(RUMOR) TARGET Future Transformers Toy Stock Dates

PostPosted: Thu Aug 02, 2007 4:47 pm

We've all seen the news reported that Target is supposed to be doing a TOY SECTION reset this weekend. Many of us are hoping that this means new stock of movie deluxes that have become rather rare at retail, and making it nearly impossible to find Concept Camaro Bumblebee, and others.

Well a source has stated that this list was posted in an employee section of TARGET with supposed future restock dates of different size classes of Transformers Toys.

087-06-0951 Movie Deluxe 10/14
087-06-1021 Movie Voyager 10/28
087-06-1041 Movie Leader 10/14
087-06-1063 Fast Action Battlers 11/4
087-06-1177 Cyber Stompin' Robot 10/7
087-06-1886 Ultimate Bumblebee 8/19

Does this mean that there will not be any peg filling reset this weekend, or that perhaps new waves will be held back until the given dates? There is no wave information given and I would say to make sure to take this RUMOR with a grain of salt. It would seem these dates are not too firm, because more and more sitings of Ultimate Bumblebee being found at Target have been popping up and we have been told that he is an endcap item with the new toy section reset.

If any of our community TARGET employees could confirm or deny this, we would really appreciate more information, if possible.

Please keep an eye on the Seibertron.com Toy News Section for more word on whether this means anything, or is simply a confused employee.

I'm betting this is another spur-of-the-moment and we continue to wind up with sightings before offical like we did at the beginning

I work at target and I saw the Planogram for that reset and in my store its suppose to set on August 5th, but it also has the Unleashed Optimus Prime on it. A Few stores in my area set early.

All i have to say is that this is bullshit. They never have the crap when they say they have it unless the company tells them to have it stocked right away. Well thats how it is at the target out here.

when i called a target by my house the guy confirmed the resest was this monday, the 5th, and as u can see august 5th is no where on that list, i think it might be scalpers that might have come up with this "info" to get as less people to go, best thing right now is to keep checking, especially this weekend and following week just in case

The toy reset is happening this week at my store. Knowing the crew they'll hit the action figure isle tomorrow. There are times when street/shelf dates are broken but most stores are good about it seeing there's a hefty fine attached to breaking an important release date.

you can think what you want to think its all good, but i went on our machines at work and checked to see when the planogram team was suppose to reset the endcaps and it said august 5th,target policy gives them a week from that sunday to get it done. BUT all targets have different set dates. I know I've worked for them for 7 years...the target 5 miles from my store had it set already....if they run out of merchandise too early they will set it early. I even talked to the Hasbro vender that comes into out store to check out stock

Well, I work at Target, in the backroom as a matter of fact. And those dates may be true but only for certain targets (districts) Also, when we stock shelves, we fill it with what ever case assortment we have. So figures could be out early or even later.

I've been getting a little concerned about this. In my area, the Transformers section has been barren in six different stores for about a month now. Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, two different stores each have next to nothing. If it was just one store, I'd blame the store, but since it's two locations of three different stores, I was beginning to wonder if Hasbro planned on shipping any more stock at all.

...I want my movie Robot Heroes...

There is no way that they will wait till 10/14 to restock the deluxe unless it is an issue on Hasbro's end. I am actually really suprised that this toy reset has taken this long. A big street number in retail is sales $ per sq ft. They just reset all the pegs for them at my local Targets. If they were not to get any in for 2 months, they wouldn't put the pegs up there, but rather another product. I am really extremely suprised that they have had 2-3 aisles empty in the toy sections for about 7-10 days now, that is a lot of sales down the tube.

well my target is doing thier reset starting tonight and working through out the weekend until done. So I'll need to check tomarrow during lunch and I may have the pick of the litter. The movie toys are selling really well here though so good thing for hasbro.

The reset must be why one of the Targets near me has no action figure aisle at the moment. Seriously, one side of the aisle is clearance stuff and theother side is completely bare. It looks as though the TF movie stuff and the Spider-Man 3 stuff was end-capped and the rest of it has disapeared.

That can't be right...every single store in my area- Target, WalMart, TRU, KMart- are COMPLETELY SOLD OUT of Deluxe, Voyager, and Leader class figures...not a single one on the shelves. I've never seen it like this; it's crazy. There are a couple real gear figures, 1 or 2 Voice changer helmets, a few FABs, and virtually no Robot Heroes left either. The frustrating thing is that nobody is restocking anything! We haven't even gotten Wave 2 deluxes or Voyager Megs yet. Maybe Hasbro really WAS surprised by how quickly these toys sold and just was caught off guard...

Even if true it is lame on Hasbro and Targets part to fail to plan ahead for restock. They knew the toys would be in demand, but failed to meet customer demand. Better late then never though I suppose... lets hope the scalpers and hoarders do not get to the restocks before the masses. :P

Ugh, I hate retail lulls!

I did find a RealGear MeanTime today though. He wasn't supose to be out yet but the casher let it slide.

In my opinion he's the best RealGear so far.
