You know, I wanted the Seacons for a long time, not as long as Skowl's been rooting for em.

But paying $40, plus the $80-$100 for the figures, along with shipping.

Yeah, I might as well just go buy the G1 Seacons.

Yeah, I'm extremely hesitant about getting these because of the price point. Yeah, sure, they're exclusive. But after looking at some of the Member prices alone on things, I'm still extremely weary.

Now if this was Computron, it'd be another story entirely.

HURRAY. How if they come out this year wouldn't that make them the ONLY new Universe toys to be released in 2007?

This news sucks so much, what a waste. These things were crap in the 80's and still are today.

I have a rule. I forbid myself from spending $100.00 on a single figure (and let's face it, Piranaking is one figure technically. I mean, who gives a crap about ol' Snaptrap by himself?)

So, if this ends up being $100.00 or more, definitely not.
Even if it's around the $80.00 mark...no.

Now, I could spend $80.00 if it included the set and a membership. That I could deal with.

Different Strokes for Different Folks then, eh?
Cause, if I had that rule, I wouldn't have one of my favourite toys at all; Star Convoy.

I did however pass on the 87$ BotCon 07 Weirdwolf/Alpha Trion set because I deemed it unworthy of the price and didnt like the toys quite enough to buy it, though Alpha Trion was a DAMNED nice toy, I just didnt think the two pack warranted near on 100$ (Though I did buy the 50$ Springer/Huffer set...odd that). I also don't buy things JUST to sell on eBay, though if I go to BotCon next year I may need to, just to cover costs (University starts soon).

I have no idea how this really applies, I just felt like saying it.

Cool and all.

However, I don't understand why not just release this as a G1 reissue in the far superior G1 color scheme. I think that would make this set a lot more desirable to most people. Wellatleast for me.

Also, I checked out the TCC and couldn't find any info there. Anyone got a link for me?

Cause it is practically done already...

I cannot believe the negativity (not Bonger, but a lot of folks). Then again it is the TF fandom so I suppose I can. We are a sour bunch, most of the time.

There is no link to it directly, they just blurted it out on the front page, in the section with news/Breakaway/etc.

I wasn't being negative exactly. It was more rhetorical questioning.

I'd love to buy the set, especially if it's at an affordable (I.E. sane) price. I'm not seeing why not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for the set on top of membership costs (possible scenario) is such a bad or negative thing.

It's akin to you buying the food, now you have to pay for the ability to eat it.

Not exactly. But I was not necessarily referring to you or anyone else specifically. We have no details on price, or availablility, nothing yet, so for people to start saying this is a bad thing, is hard to understand.

At least wait until details are there before exploding furiously, frustratedly, or whatever (again not directed at you Autobot 032).

Well, practically done doesn't matter with colors does it? Nothing against a new color scheme. I just think it would serve more collectors purposes if the colors were kept true. Who knows though, when ity goes into production they may revert to the original colors which I definately think would be a way hotter seller than this repaint.

And while we're at it, how about a Menasor Reissue,. Mine's beat to ****. :(

Well, the price will blow, but that color scheme looks good on the Seacons... Better start saving, I suppose.

Oh well. I have been waiting for this release. But I will not pay over $100 for it, so it might as well have been canceled (for my purposes). For all of you who can/will buy it, I am glad.

All you whiners and complainers need to drink a nice warm glass of Shut-the-hell-up (TM).

You're given a great opportunity and you **** on it before even knowing the details.

The lack of thought that goes into some responses is shameful.

Feel free to get angry at any of this. Just realize that if you're one of the people getting angry, you're probably one of the people this applies best to.

Seriously, I've had enough whining in this thread. It's either an Exclusive or it will never have been released. Before this announcment, these would have went for almost $1000 on e-bay, so I consider this a big savings. Next post about how Hasbro sucks and who tries to pollute this thread with that nonsense will receive a warning.
