This is what we have so far:

Leader: Grimlock
Voyager: Grimlock and Slog
Deluxe: Snarl, Scorn, Slash, Strafe and Slug

I think they are the hghlight of the whole line actually. Unlike the others, they actually do integrate their alt modes within their robot modes and look quite sleek and unique. I really like Grimlock, Slug and Scorn so far. I am let down by Strafe though since he barely transforms at all. Also, his robot head does not hide away much while in beast mode and his beast mode heads do not lock in for his robot mode.

Strafe is the weakest of the bunch, but I still like him. Overall I like all the ones I've gotten, with Scorn being the supreme standout.

Odd man out here but I favor Strafe. Leader Grimlock is second. I have yet to obtain Snarl, Slog and Voyager Grimlock so I may change my mind down the road.

I love the Voyager Grimlock but the Leader is better IMO. It looks decent in both modes.Yeah, many fans have complained about the sausage like rex mode but your problems are solved here: http://i.imgur.com/O5ZPQOp.jpg

Plus,he does not look elongated from the top, only when you turn him to the side but then, well look at the picture in the link shown above.

I got Slash yesterday and.... he is not my favourite. Not by a looooooooooooong shot. But he is still interesting in his own right, especially the way he incorporates the feathers which (sadly to some) gives him a trait we now know velocerapotrs had.

I agree with you,william-james88. Slash is not my favourite Dinobot but a very interesting one.I am letdown by the feathers on his upper thighs. They do not look good.Btw,does anyone notice Slash's hardhat?

Not until now. And yes, those feathers are very unecessary since they dont seem to be elements from his dinosaur mode, which kind of makes no sense. Those are definitely his greatest esthetic weakness to me.

I've got Leader Grimlock, Strafe, Scorn, Slash, and Slug. It's a tie between Grimlock and Slug for me.

My list is:

1) Scorn
2) Slug
3) Voyager Grimlock
4) Snarl
5) Slash

I don't have Slog yet, so I cannot comment on him yet.

Scorn. Though the rubber tail doesn't sit well with me.

My Dino list is...

1) Snarl
2) Grimlock voyager
3) Slog
4) Scorn
5) Slash
6) Strafe
7) Slug

Don't own leader Grimlock, but from what I've seen of him I'm not impressed.

I was fiddling with them all recently and it turns out that though he has problems, I truly believe Slash to have the best dino mode. It is devoid of robot mode kibble and really interesting and sleek.

I really want to get Scorn. I just wish he was bigger- he's a goddamn Spinosaurus, and he was shown to be bigger than Grimlock in the movie! Someone needs to kit-bash a huge Scorn toy.

Shame I don't live near a TRU...

Is that modded? That looks so much better. The Takara colours probably help.

There's actually Leader Grimlock available in my local Argos, but he's £45. I kinda want to get him, strip off the paint and chrome (I like chrome and all, but they did it so badly on this guy) and kitbash/repaint him into something awesome. I have a plan to beef him up, add more skeletal details and give him a fossilized colour scheme, and rechristen him "Doomlock" (named after the Energon repaint of Cruellock of course).

So far, my son has Slug and Scorn and of course Scorn is the better one. But the biggest problem for the Scorn we have is he has super loose hip joints. I tried to fix them with the usual way but since the balls are not fully inserted in to the thighs, they are tighter now but start having some problem staying attached.

That is a very good idea :APPLAUSE: .Looking forward to your custom. The colours on the hasbro version are awful  By the way, notice the robot fists coming out of the dino feet?

I agree with you 99.9% + 0.1%. You do the math.As much as I love the awesome deluxe, I wish he was a voyager class. Spinosaurus is larger than T-Rex Yes,he was shown to be bigger than Grimlock in the movie! Didn't anyone in Hasbro think about that????

Well, with having all seven, I can break the list down as follows:
1.) Snarl. Easily the most well balanced and just an overall solid figure.
2.) Scorn. He's just badass.
3.) Grimlock (Leader Class). I happen to like him quite a bit and he has the size/mass I feel fits the character correctly.
4.) Strafe. Simple and straightforward, but his wrist swivel + swords just sells him so well, at least visually.
5.) Slash. His colors and weapons hold him back from being a better figure.
6.) Slug. His transformation makes me want to punch him.
7.) Slog. A terrible mess of rubber during transformation. His beast and robot modes are the saving grace. His knight-esque look coupled with the lance weapons and forearm armor, just sell the robot mode so well. His transformation is so unpleasant and his rubber bits are so obtrusive, that he just gets a fail. It's really quite sad.

I did notice the feet, but the Takara colours make it far less obtrusive.

TBH, I don't mind the Hasbro colours per se. It's the placement. If they did him mostly black with the bronze as accents for all the detailing, and either got rid of or seriously toned back the chrome (as much as I like the shiny dino-noggin) he'd look a lot better. It's the disjointedness of the scheme that ruins the Hasbro version.

As for the custom, I'm only doing it if I can get him for a lot cheaper- I don't want to potentially screw up £45 worth of toy! If I can though I would love to do it. Really I'd like to do it to all of the AOE Dinobots, giving them all "bony" colour schemes and making them into a kind of evil Dinobot clone team called the Extincticons. Painting the rubber bits might be tricky though...
