I'm glad I got mine on ebay already. Ha Ha I'm going to go pretend to shoot someone now. Thanks ebay. King of the castle, king of the castle.

Half of me wants to just go buy a real Walther P38 because that would be easier than getting Megs into this country lol. I love this country but there are some real messed up problems when you nice folks can't own a Megatron but that ass wipe can do what he did at Virgina Tech. You tell me what kind of guns are the real problem? I must say though if we out lawed guns... we could all get Megatrons.... maybe :wishful thinking:

I bought my modded Megs from TFsource, pulled the plug, and now have my happily unmodded Megs beating up Prime. From what I hear plenty of people have done the same with thier BBTS modded Megs, though that one takes a lot more effort to remove.

Yet you still payed full price for an opened item. Damnit, I had almost one a megs too........

My MP Megs from TFSource was unmodded and unopened but I did have to wait a little longer than everyone else because the modded ones shipped first.

Banning guns won't solve anything, just cause more problems. and still no Megatrons, probably even end the Megatrons all togather. :-P

I have seen unmodified G1 original and reissue Megatrons being sold in shops and on ebay with no problem before, without being emasculated with any faggy orange tip whatsoever.

Paranoia, hyprocacy, and plain nonsence.....welcome to America.

BTW, since I live in SEA, no such scrupples when it comes to realistic looking weapons. ;;)

He didn't buy his ammo from ebay. They can't sell ammo. What he bought were all the clips for his guns that allowed him to reload so many times.

Whenever stuff like this happens, people call for stricter gun laws or gun bans which only really prevent decent people from owning or buying guns. Criminals and people who plan on harming people don't always seek the legal way to acquire guns. When people like that want a gun they find a way to get one.

That having been said I think the issue of Megatron is a precaution and also to minimize an almost certain backlash and scrutiny against ebay that will unfold in the wake of V Tech investigations.

Yep, and I got my Megs, and he looks so cool and shiny. I open every TF I buy actually. I even opened my MISB Overlord so I could play with him. Not even sure where the box is anymore. To me they are to display and play with. Otherwise whats the point in having them. A sealed box might as well be an empty box to me.

Tell me though, when you see other TF items listed on eBay, with opened packaging, are they being sold for full price?

I take my toys out of the package too, but I'm the one doing it.

Plenty of MIB opened figures out there that sell for far over original sale price. And plenty of completely loose figures with no packaging that sell for mich higher then original retail as well. To me if I'm going to open it anyways as long as its complete with nothing broken or damaged I really don't care if the box is open and price is completely relative to what your willing to spend.

For instace MP Megatron was worth 95 dollars + shipping to me. A G1 Megs MISB is worth zero dollars to me since I think its an ugly toy.

Thankfully lucked out and found a guy who was selling 9 of them unmodded from a nearby consignment/hobby shop. Got mine a few days ago. There were 6 left....

I like the idea, citizens outta do so more often, and this country of ours could be a more pleasent place to live in.

Remember, we the people, are the bosses, NOT the government, they are our employees. ( I can probably hear people gasping in shock at such a conceopt  ).

Time for America to be a resort, not a jail, in my opinion.

Hell, I occasionally buy swords and knives, and they are all sharp....no dull edges, no plastic tip, no bright orange on the hilt and no other faggy additions to differentiate it from something else. :-P

I bet the Japanese collectors are giggling at our prediciment with Megatron and his faggy orange tip. And ESPECIALLY for Classics Megatron, who becomes a gun that looks nothing like a real gun. :-P It's amazing Art Asylum were able to pull off making replica TOS Star Trek phasers without this nonsence. :? :P :-P

Next ebay will ban the sale of paper because of what Adam & Jamie were able to do with it on Mythbusters.

Trying to smuggle Megatron in through customs..."Such heroic nonsense!" lol

The phasers don't look anything like real guns, which lets them pull off the replica/prop line with more success and skip the orange cap.

As for the people standing up and petitioning this law. In alot of states the law is actually more restrictive in that a toy gun can't even be colored like a real gun (Which is why Megs is the colors he is). And in most cases those laws are the result of parent groups petitioning for it.

Its not like one little incident led to this law going up to congress. If you research it there was alot of public backing on it from parent groups and the like. I think its a stupid law myself. But it exists because the people of this country wanted it. Of course I suppose that something about the average intelligence level of our citizens.

I can see a photo contest topic here. "Photograph your TFs doing something with the orange plug." Many wouldn't be able to participate, myself included because I got an unmodded Megatron, but the resulting photos could be worth a laugh.

On another note, I find it silly that you can buy this or this on eBay yet you can't buy a toy Megatron.

If you had a pair, you could turn them into cufflinks or earings.
